Return of the weekly discussion thread! Sometimes it seems like pretty photos rise to the top of the page, while discussion of birding can get left behind. This weekly thread is a place to bring this discussion back to the top of r/birding.
Use this thread to share your best bird sightings from the past week, ask any questions about birding you may have, or just talk! Writing the names of the birds in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names. Please include your location.

Absolutely love our bluebirds! My wife & I were lucky enough to have 5 broods this year, with 19 babies successfully fledging. It's been such a joy watching them grow, and we love having them around the house!

Today Iβm sharing another Antpitta, this time the endemic Red-and-white Antpitta. This bird is found almost exclusively on the eastern slopes of the Andes in Cusco, at elevations between 1,800 and 3,400 meters above sea level. I imagine photographing it deep in the forest must be incredibly difficult because, like other Antpittas, it inhabits the understory and is extremely shy.
Fortunately, at Wayqecha, photographing this species is surprisingly easy, as these birds even seem to keep a schedule! At 8 a.m., you can photograph two individuals from such close range that my biggest problem was keeping them far enough away for my lens to focus!
One challenge was the extreme humidity, which caused my lens to fog up. But these birds were so cooperative that I had enough time to remove the lens, wait for the condensation to clear, and reattach it to finish the photo session!
The Antpittas of Wayqecha were truly one of the highlights of my trip!

One manβs lifer is another oneβs daily.
Saw my first common starling walking around in Amsterdam. Iβve spent a lot of time in Europe and had no luck. To find them in a city market, singing their little chests off was a delight.

Found in Canada BC. Google says this might be a Fieldfare, but it is not very often that they come to Canada, and Merlin ID don't have suggestions.
Thank you!

Met this veeeerrrry habituated young magpie at the visitor's center of a park. Kept following me around my car, climbing on my car, and begging nonstop. I even met a couple other people later in the day that had the same thing happen lol. But I didn't give in, and eventually he flew off. Cute little guy either way
