Player Discussion Shoutout Thog

She was the one of the best parts of last season and really leaned into her role. I also like how she didn’t take anything to heart post season because she knew how reality TV goes. I really thought she was going to crash out after but she was funny about the whole thing. I hope she has no more bad weeks till ends time.

General Discussion Three Ideas for Big Brother House Themes/House Decor

Hey all, I've been pondering what types of themes could be used for future seasons of BB, and I have some ideas that I think are pretty good house designs for the show that I feel are worth exploring in future seasons. I'll start with an obvious theme everyone is thinking about and discuss two other themes that I have come up with. Let's begin with:

Theme #1 - Outer Space: This theme has already been discussed multiple times in the past, but I think it's a very plausible idea for a future season, maybe as soon as next year. Design the house to look like a futuristic spaceship, with the floors and walls a monochrome silver with neon color lines on the borders of each corner. The outside bedroom can be the main room where astronauts sleep on rocket ships and the bunk bed room can be the escape pod room, with the walls resembling the endless abyss of the cosmos. The Have-Not room is a portal to Mars and the beds are two Martian Rovers and random craters in the floor. The walls of course would have Mars' steep canyons and mountains plastered across them. The HoH Room would be the spaceship's bridge, where the captain usually resides, and the walls would show most if not all planets of the Solar System.

Competitions would have the HouseGuests travel either to different planets or even galaxies for every competition, increasing the variety in competitions and creativity in set design. As far as what twists may occur with a space theme, my thought is having types of comets with varying properties fly by the spaceship and add a new element to an upcoming competition that in other seasons isn't there. For instance, let's say the next comp is the spelling bee competition where you must spell the longest word, but a comet passes by and completely reverses that rule, where you now must spell a word limited by a certain number of letters. Stuff like that. I'm sure there are other ideas you can come up with for the comets but that's what I got off the top of my head.

Overall, I think that this is a really interesting theme for BB that isn't out of the realm of possibility for the show. I know the show is usually late to trends, and Artemis II has been pretty relevant this past year and plans to have another expedition to the moon in 2028 which would be the perfect time to do a space theme for BB30. Of all three themes on this post, this one I think is the most likely.

Theme #2 - Toys/The BB ToyBox: This is a theme that might get some raised eyebrows since I know people don't want BB to play into the idea of being a kid's show, but we can make this theme work with comps and the house design. The living room can have shelves of teddy bears or miniature figurines in their boxes. The bedrooms can be separated by boy toys (Race cars, rocket ships, etc.) and girl toys (A giant dollhouse designed to be the bunk bed room), and the Have-Not room can be prank toys such as whoopee cushions, phony money, maybe even a Chinese Finger Trap.

What I want to lean into for the ToyBox theme though is board games and puzzles. The kitchen floor is bright and colorful, but here's the kicker: the floor is designed to look like a giant jigsaw puzzle with the tiles of the floor sectioned to look like life-sized jigsaw pieces. The bathroom walls are tiled, and some of those tiles have numbers etched into them to resemble a game of Sudoku. The upstairs lounge floor and walls are littered with made up crossword puzzles, some of the words already filled out, the words referencing BB lore and quotes. The gym walls are word search puzzles with some words already circled. The downstairs lounge is a giant Rubik's cube as the lounging area, with colored tiles on the floor. And finally, the HoH room is a BB-inspired board game, with game cards asking BB related questions plastering the walls, and colored tile tracks starting from the HoH door to the bed, couch and bathroom.

And the competitions are obviously based around either board games or other types of toys. I think this would be a genuinely cool idea for a theme if done right and not just make it fodder for children to watch. Curious to know what you all think. And lastly:

Theme #3 - Holiday Mashup: Expanding what Reindeer Games started, this house theme would be all about worldwide holidays being celebrated for the entire summer. The house decor would be simple: Each room would be designed around a different holiday, and the decor would connect each room to each other. The living room is Christmas, and would look like Santa's Workshop. The kitchen is Thanksgiving themed, the bathroom is Valentine's Day, the outside bedroom is St. Patty's Day, the bunk bed room is Easter, with the beds being Easter egg baskets, the Have-Not room is Halloween, one of the lounges is centered around birthdays in general, the HoH room is New Year's Eve, etc.

And the competitions can rotate between these holidays, plus maybe even holidays celebrated in other countries like Lunar New Year and Oktoberfest. This one I think has lots of potential to be a really cool theme, again if done the right way and treating these holidays with respect.

These are three house themes that I think would make for pretty awesome house designs that would be pleasant to look at and unique to the show's style with the descriptions I gave for each house. Let me know what themes you'd like to see in a future season! Do you agree with the ones I have talked about or do you have something even cooler? Let me know! Thanks for reading.

General Discussion All Winners or 2nd Chances?

Would you rather watch a season with only winners competing against one another for the chance to become the first ever 2-time winner, or, a season of all-star returnees duking it out to win for the 1st time?

Wild Speculation Turner getting divorced?

Turner posted a new home decor reel on IG that starts with “as you all know, I’m getting a divorce,” but I’ve seen… literally nothing about this on his account or Megan’s. Is this just clickbait bullshit or…? Feels like a really, really weird thing to lie about…

Past Season Discussion Trashiest Seasons of Big Brother ?

Been binging BB recently, watched season 10 & 8. Both were good, but 8 was so trashy, which makes me ask- any other trashy seasons? I love the ridiculousness.

Also if anyone has suggestions on genuinely good seasons to follow these ones up. I have also watched S10/11.

Past Season Discussion My top 5 moments of bb28

Since bb28 has been wrapped up for a good while now, and I've had this idea for a bit now, i wanted to make a post about my top 5 favorite moments from this recent season!! and if yall like it i'll do more of these for other seasons! ^w^
First off some honorable mentions i won't go super in depth on, those being (in no particular order), Mallory screaming about the Survivors, Taylor wins F4 HOH, Lyric vote flip, Barret noms the icons, and the 2 moments that were so so so close to making the top 5, Drew's eviction and Rachel falling in the volcano. If this was me trying to judge it without my own personal feelings i'd probably pick Rachel falling in the volcano but it's my top 5 so i allowed myself one moment that was soley based on my feelings and how much enjoyment it gave me. Now onto the list proper! (which is also in no particular order, save number 1)

5. Melody Pulls it out on Double Eviction Night

Seeing Melody win both the BBB and double HOH back to back live was such an exhilirating experience and my throat hurt from how loudly in disbelieif i was watching her put barret in bbb, then everyone else in the HOH. Her pop off was amazing and well deserved, and even tho her 2 wins solidified the vets win by taking out Barret and Yash, it was still super cool and funny seeing one of the most notorious compflops ever to that point win back to back comps when she needed them most. What a crazy and nail biting fucking double that gave me such a fun night even if we lost Barret for it. (also Taylor said fuck uncensored which had me fucking howling)

4. Jason vs Angela at the Nomination Ceremony

I had to put Jason on here. He's my favorite character of the season, my favorite prejurour ever, and superrr high up on my general favorite list. He brought the drama and nothing showed that better then his fight with Angela in week 2 (and also maybe the tea party but that has Kamu stink so I didn't pick it). Him calling Angela a bitch, saying he doesn't feel sexaul towards her, Angela screaming back all while in the egg costume leading to PICK UP YOUR HAT DIVA which is a huge source of quotes from me. And capping it off with Rome calling Haley a bitch all while Devens watched in disbelief. So amazing to see unfold, one of the best nomination ceremonies we've ever gotten.

3. Devens Uses the DPOV

This moment is quite different then any of the others I have listed, as it's not here since it's super hype or cool really, but just because of how hilariously akward it is. Devens having the DPOV was a fucking stupid silver spoon handout from production but since it got Kamu out I wont complain. Devens trying to put on a show with it and making a huge speech about a dream he had with the ghost of Jeff Probst and shit into Dee popping off about it and Kamu being nominated without any emotion showing was so goddamn funny and cringe but in the best way. I loved it so so much seeing no one amused or excited about it, and Dee and Devens kinda embarrased themselves which made it even funnier. And of course Kamu being put up was just the cherry on top. I considered putting Angela winning the BBB to send him home over this but I think the moment of Devens putting Kamu up was better so I chose this one to represent the Kamu downfall.

2. Lala Outlasts Kamu on the Wall

Speaking of Kamu losing, nothing had me popping off more then hearing the news that Lala won Wall and then seeing her do it on episode. I was for real believing in Lala's chances of the wall the night of it happening to the doubts of everyone around me, but waking up the next morning to see the picture of Lala with the letters HOH under it filled me with such a genuine glee like nothing else this season did. I adored Lala and was so happy to see her win, even more so in the episode knowing that Kamu slipped off and got 2nd to her and hearing her powerful scream of victory and relief after it. Such a genuinley powerful moment of David beating Goliath that made me more excited then anything else this season even if something like Drew's eviction gave it a run for its money. Lala is the fucking GOAT.

Finally, we have the moment that I put on here for ME. the moment that would be on no one else's top 5, but because of how I enjoy BB, it is one of my favorite moments in history. One that gave me more laughs then anything this year

1. Drew's Zing

This shit and the bits that came from it was SO. FUNNY. For some context, I watched all of 28 with my younger sibling, and whenever we would watch an episode we would spend the whole time making up the dumbest fuckking bits of all time while we did and regularly near tears from how much we would laugh. We had many sources of jokes, like Kamu constantly being shirtless and always looking to rip his shirt off, Devens having increasibly elaborate places to hide DPOVs, Rachel coming in as Skeletor for a movie collab, Drew loving Paw Patrol, saying "Mallory's curse" whenver a vet lost a comp, etc, but Drew's Zing fed us for the entire rest of the season and beyond when we heard it. Drew being zinged and told he will die alone made me and my sibling start saying "(insert thing) zing!!" after everything goofy we did (like repeating a stutter and saying "speech impediment zing!!" for example), and making up new and goofy ways that Zingbot would show up to kill Drew and the one liner he'd drop during it. My favorite was during the zingbot comp where we made a bit about how Drew would take the time machine alone to the assassination of Abe Lincoln where Zingbot would appear behind him and say JOHN WILKES ZING and you can picture the rest. It was so fucking funny and vaired in the shit we made up based on the zing, and it is my favorite moment of bb28. Of course it had to come from Drew getting dunked on.

I know that was a wholeee lot of rambling, so if you read all this, tysm!! i hope u enjoyed it and i'd love to hear any moments i missed and what your top 5 would be! ^w^

General Discussion Has anyone compared the data of relationships that are still together from Big Brother versus dating series like The Bachelor?

Or bachelorette, or Love Is Blind, etc.

I'd be interested to see relationships in general as well as married folks that are still together.

Felicia. What if Felicia was the icon? Would she be with Dee and Devens? Or would she be on the other side of the house with FAP? And how far do you she would last?

General Discussion What if Dee was evicted instead of Angela?

Let’s say everything plays out the same and the final 4 are Devens, Angela, Taylor, and Drew. If Drew still wins the veto there is probably no way Drew decides to keep Devens over Angela right? Obviously Devens is the bigger jury threat and has a better chance of winning final HOH. The only chance is if Drew just makes the more emotional decision.

Past Season Discussion Most Underrated Character?

Anyone else love Ramses on BB19? Maybe it's because I also do cosplay lol but I thought he was such a fun and honestly underratedly solid player. I wish we got to see him again on a second chances themed season or maybe Amazing Race. Who is your favorite underrated character? Sound off in the comments!

Player Discussion BB27 Players Rating (0-10)

8 Morgan | 7.5 Ashley | 7 Rachel | 6 Vince | 4.3 Will | 4 Ava | 3 Jimmy | 2.5 Lauren | 2.3 Mickey |

2 Zach | 1.8 Adrian | 1.5 Amy | 1.3 Zae | 1 Rylie | 0.8 Katherine | 0.5 Keanu | 0.3 Kelley

This season had the top ten worst game players in big brother history. Ashley, Morgan, Rachel and Vince were the only stars players while everybody else was passive, actively playing bad, or not playing at all.

What's your players rating?

(Edit: This is a ranking as individual game players, meaning how active they were, how good their social game, strategic maneuvering, positioning, and campaigning skills.)

Player Discussion Rank the following returning players: Dee, Rachel or Devens?

Rachel finished worse than both dee and devens, but she went out from an unfair twist and did not have the powers dee or devens had. Dee was more strategic than devens but made it less far than devens did. Devens also had to rely on more competitions than Dee or Rachel.
Personally id rank them as Rachel > Dee > Devens

Don't Spoil Me! How should I dive into past seasons?

Hi Guys!

I recently got into Big Brother really late this last season (Jury Stage of BB28) and now that I'm addicted I have started to watch past seasons based on which ones I haven't been spoiled on and which ones have been recommended to me. I've been lucky and can listen to/watch each season on/off while doing big work projects, but I wanted some recs from this community.

So far I have finished 20, 24, and 26, and I want to watch 28 from the start.

Which seasons would you guys recommend that I check out next?

General Discussion Who would you say is your most underrated Big Brother player of all time? Doesn’t have to be a winner, just in general.

I’ve watched all US seasons, but no Canada seasons. I wish I could say I’ve watched from the beginning, but been a “super fan” since season 17 and went back to watch all seasons on Paramount+. Big live feed watcher and Taran Armstrong content. Friends and family think I’m too consumed every Summer lol. Would love to know everyone’s thoughts on different players since theres many ways to play the game well :)

Past Season Discussion My Ranking So Far (and what to watch next)

As a reality tv enthusiast I can’t believe I put off BB for so long, it’s pretty much all I’ve watched the past three months 💀

I’m on ep23 of bb8 and it’s already changed my ranking. Note that there’s a very thin line and I love all of these, but my current ranking is:

  1. 10
  2. 6
  3. 14
  4. 2
  5. 7
  6. 8
  7. 12
  8. 11

Note that I love all these seasons and haven’t been bored yet. Are there any other seasons with similar dynamics or betrayal or fighting?

Past Season Discussion Every 1st HoH winner and where they placed

Due to the recent season of Big Brother I thought it could be kind of fun to talk about what happened to all the first HoH’s

I stand firm in that the first HoH is the single biggest advantage one could get.

I’ll mark if they made Jury and their pole position, unless they won the game

BB2 - Mike Boogie - Did not make Jury, 8th (first HoH ever, kind of hard to grade

BB3 - Lisa Donahue - Won the game, No Golden Power of Veto

BB4 - Nathan Marlow - Made Jury - 8th

BB5 - Jase Wirey - Did not make Jury - 10th

BB6 - Rachel Plencner - Did make Jury - 8th

BB7 - Jase and Janelle - Jase, Did not make jury - 12th, Janelle, Did make Jury - 3rd

BB8 - Kail Harbick - Did not make Jury - 10th, also America’s Player throws a wrench into everything

BB9 - Not even worth talking about

BB10 - Jerry MacDonald - Did make Jury, 3rd

BB11 - Jessie Godderz - Did make Jury, 9th

BB12 - Hayden Moss - Won the game

BB13 - Rachel Reilly - Won the game

BB14 - Willie Hantz - Did not make Jury, 14th

BB15 - McCrae Olson - Did make Jury, 4th

BB16 - Frankie Grande - Did make Jury, 5th

BB17 - James Huling - Did make Jury, 7th

BB18 - Nicole Franzel - Won the game

BB19 - Cody Nickson - Did make Jury, 11th

BB20 - Tyler Crispen - Final Two - 2nd

BB21 - Christie Murphy - Did make Jury - 6th

BB22 - Cody Califiore - Won the game

BB23 - Frenchie - Did not make Jury, 15th

BB24 - Daniel Durston - Did not make Jury, 12th

BB25 - Reilly Smedley - Did not make Jury, 15th

BB26 - Angela Murray - Did make Jury, 6th

BB27 - Vinny Panaro - Final Two - 2nd

BB28 - Dee Valladeres - Did make Jury, 4th

Now it’s not a guarantee but by winning the first HoH can really help you make it deep into the game

Now it’s really unfair that only 3 people were able to compete for the first HoH and those 3 people are very good at these kinds of games, so it’s less likely for them to mess it up

I thought this could be a nice post where we have all the winners in one place

I really enjoy this topic!

General Discussion What iconic Big Brother moment did you get to experience first hand on the feeds?

There's many! Lol, but for me-

BB12, Rachel vs. Ragan: the tension between Rachel and Ragan was building up, and when they were fighting, i was just like... this is probably one of those moments that was going down in Big Brother history in real time.

BB14 – Dan’s Funeral: Getting to watch Dan’s Funeral happen live on the feeds was absolutely insane. They really had Dan's number... I genuinely don't think you could appreciate just how masterful it was unless you experienced it as it happened. I remember being SO pissed when it turned on Britney though.

These really stick out for me, so, do y'all have any favorite moments you got to see first hand?

General Discussion Big Brother 30: Let The Fans Decide

I know a lot of fans on here are talking about Big Brother 30, since we know that it will be an All-Stars season. But as a fan, what is something about it you want to see, don’t want to see. What would make you most excited to watch it? What would make it annoyed but watch it anyway? I’d like to hear all the fans thoughts. The good, the bad and the ugly lol.

Here is mine. My biggest thing is that I only want to see ONE time players. I don’t really care if they have won before but if they have already played twice or more, let’s take them out of the pool. I know this will never happen, but spread the seasons out. What I mean by that is don’t take more than 1 and 2 from a season, I’d even be happy with picking 1 player per season. Pre-gaming is going to happen anyway but I feel there is a CHANCE this could control it to a degree.

This one fans will disagree with, but no twists at all and eliminate Blockbuster. Let’s go back to a standard Big Brother season. Let the players win or lose by themselves. I am one of those fans that wants to see the best player win, I am not all about the ones who win because of twists or didn’t have to do much.

Have a perfect mixture of old school and new school. I’ve heard people talk about that it may only be players from 20 and on, but in case it’s not, make sure you even it out.

Those are just some things I’d like to see.

Player Discussion How has Angela not gotten in trouble for this?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Her bio says “realtor” but uses no trademark symbol. The term is federally trademarked and I’ve known real estate agents who improperly use the term to get in LOTS of trouble. I understand small agents getting under the radar, but I’m surprised a big influencer like her hasn’t gotten fined or anything? A good agent should know about this?

Idk maybe I misunderstand. I did used to work for a real estate company though and this was something everyone talked about.
