Hi everyone!

I posted about 2-3 weeks ago, in regards to a dog being left out during the Nor’Easter. We called 311, and to our knowledge based on the emails we received, they were not able to get into the building to address the situation.

We’ve continued to observe the dog seemingly being left out at night, and currently as of 10:00pm Oct. 18, observing the dog outside on 45 degree temperature, on a small balcony. And it seems like it’ll be left out all night :/

Unfortunately, we’ve seen this dog out in extremely hot temperature, rainy and stormy weather, and now it’s getting colder and it doesn’t seem to be let inside at all. We feel really bad for the dog being stuck on a balcony almost 24/7. It’s no way to live.

The dog is a French bulldog, so it’s also a short haired dog that can’t withstand cold that long.

Does anyone have any suggestions that don’t involve 311 because when the officers respond, nothing ever happens. We are trying one more time with the apartment number now, since we were able to figure it out. So hopefully they can buzz them in.

But yeah… any suggestions? We need some help.

Missing cat? Does anyone recognize this cat/know any details? I saw him right outside St. George’s church on Marcy/Gates. He approached me right away and let me pet him, so he seems WAY too friendly to be a stray. Orange tabby with white on face and paws (couldn’t get a better pic🫠). I’m familiar with a lot of the strays in the neighborhood but I’ve never seen this guy before. He is such a sweetheart and I’m worried he could be someone’s pet :( Does anyone know of any missing cats in the area/if this is just a neighborhood cat? Please let me know🙏

My brother saw a dog around Franklin ave, grayish, and possibly a Australian cattle breed or mix (could be another he couldn't quiet tell) not too long ago. The dog was running slowly in a straight line. He didnt get a pic sadly.

I have a hole in some pants that I need patched up. I'm around the area of Cobra Club but location doesn't matter too much.

After 10 years in Manhattan, I’m making the move to Bed Stuy and I’m really excited for a change of scenery. I haven’t spent much time in the neighborhood aside from riding my bike around, so I’m looking forward to getting to know the area.

I’m 32, male, single, and moving to Gates Ave between Nostrand and Marcy.

Would love any recommendations for dive bars, restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, or fun community events and groups worth checking out. Also interested in any good spots to meet people and get involved in the neighborhood.

Hello! I’m a 20-something Queens native that recently re-located to Bedstuy and I’m looking for a new church community. I’ve been to Bridge in Downtown Brooklyn several times but would appreciate a church with better praise music and more of a range of “types” of members.

I just stopped by Lincoln Market and Home Depot and both are selling carving pumpkins for close to $15. I’ve seen them for less than $5 at Aldi and Lidl, but I’m hoping to stay in the neighborhood. Has anyone seen carving pumpkins for sale at a more reasonable price?

Carlo was trapped a few months ago when he was living on the street behind the building in one of the parks in Brooklyn, NY. He is a little shy, so he would be ok as a single cat with someone who works from home or has other cats, if the person introduces them properly (which our rescue team can help with :)). Right now, Carlo enjoys having his brother around - Salem - at his foster home in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. He's very playful, docile, full of life, and the sweetest cat ever. He's neutered, vaccinated, and healthy. Carlo is a BOY... just in case the name is not clear. When we were trapping him, we thought he was a girl, so you never know! If you're interested in adopting this beautiful boy, please fill out our adoption application.
