These are Basma and Jumbo. They are 2 months old, healthy, clean, well-behaved and will be fully vaccinated by October 26th. They get along with other cats very well, are friendly and affectionate, as well as possess pet passports.
Unfortunately, I'll soon be travelling to Poland for a few weeks to look after my grandmother, and cannot afford a petsitter for 4 cats at the moment (20 lari per day per cat can rack up VERY quickly). I don't want these babies to end up on the street either... 😭
So if you are interested in adopting Basma and Jumbo, or just like brown tabbies, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM. You can also reach out to me via Whatsapp +48669413200 .
The kittens are located in Tbilisi, however, I am willing to take them to Batumi. I can have them delivered to you within 1-2 days of agreeing to adoption, as long as you vaccinate the kittens on the 26th of October (I will cover the cost of it). I can also deliver them once they complete their vaccination.

I'm a local here in Batumi, but I'm finding it a bit difficult to make new friends lately.
Are there any physical groups, clubs, or regular meetups that you would recommend attending? I'm really interested in finding activities where I can connect with new people and hang out.

Just wanted to share my experience as a tourist from US visiting Batumi for 3 days. I went to a bar called Beer Point in the old town with an acquaintance I have met overseas before. We sat there, had some drinks. Eventually some very drunk woman came in who looks like she comes there a lot. She barged in and started being very rude, she said that my face annoys her and I said I’m sorry she felt that way, then continued talking to my acquaintance. Eventually she became aggressive, pushed me and threw a bar chair at me, breaking my glass from the beer and cutting my hand deep in multiple places. She was yelling and saying I’m Russian (even though I’m not). There was two guys holding her back and eventually she left. The bleeding hasn’t stopped for over an hour, there was two complete strangers at the bar patching up my wound. I went to pay the bill and of course got overcharged at least double what it should’ve been. Next morning I wanted to go to the hospital. I spent 40 minutes in one emergency room, they ignored me and acted like I didn’t exist. Went to another one waited half an hour they told me to go to the first one again, so eventually I left. I came back to my hostel and told the lady at reception. She said I should go to the police and tell them what happened, so I walked to one police station closest to me. They listened to my story and sent me to another station that is local to the area it happened in. I went in, spent 3 hours talking to the police and eventually they just asked me so why did I come? I said if this isn’t a reason to come to them I don’t know what reason one can have. Then they told me I’ll need to stay in Batumi for at least a month to press charges and wait for a court date to which I responded to just forget it. So now I left Batumi today feeling very disappointed, with one hand that is unusable, no medical help, no legal help, etc…

Are you a native speaker of Georgian and willing to help out in research? Please reply to my questionnaire about Georgian dialects!
I'm a Linguistics Master's student from University of Helsinki, Finland conducting a research project on Georgian dialects. My study depends on me getting as many answers as possible, so any help would be greatly appreciated :)
I'm traveling to Georgia (Tbilisi, Kutaisi & Zugdidi) with my research group 17.-26.10., so there's also a possibility for a short 20-30min face-to-face interview if you would be interested!
დიდი მადლობა დახმარებისთვის!❤️

If one were to make a short film on the streets here, would police flag me down and want a permit, or is it largely fine to just go do? Anyone here have any experience with this, what are the legalities like, if any?

Hello, I’d really appreciate your advice.
I live in Batumi and recently bought an apartment, so I’m now looking to furnish it (bed, sofa, chairs, and other key pieces). The problem is that stylish, good-quality furniture is quite expensive here (+Tbilisi). At first, I considered traveling to China to buy furniture directly, but once I add the cost of the trip, shipping and transportation to Georgia, it becomes quite expensive as well. Then I started thinking about Turkey, since a large amount of furniture and other products are imported from Turkey to Georgia at relatively affordable prices. Do you think it would be worth traveling to Turkey to purchase furniture there and arrange delivery here? I’m looking for modern, high-quality, minimalist furniture and I’d like to understand whether this could actually be more cost-effective than buying everything locally.

I can't even enjoy a peaceful walk with my son because these dogs often scare him. Is it normal to have so many stray dogs roaming around? Why aren't the authorities doing anything about it?

I(23F, Indian) have been living in Batumi for a while, but somehow I've mostly ended up meeting people from my university student circle. I'd love to change that and actually get to know people from different backgrounds — Georgian, international, expats, locals, anyone really.
I'm into good conversations, exploring places around Batumi, coffee, walks, trying random food spots, dancing, and doing things that are more interesting than staying home scrolling on my phone.
If you're around Batumi and also want to meet someone new, feel free to comment or DM me. Bonus points if you have a good recommendation for something fun to do here that I haven't discovered yet. :)
And also I know a lil bit of Georgian. So I can also learn Georgian as a plus point.

Hey,
I’m a Georgian native. I’ve already been tutoring for 3 weeks with people who found me on Reddit and I’m still looking for more students.
I have years of experience helping international volunteers and non-native speakers with conversational practice and daily life adaptation.
I work with all levels — from complete beginners to advanced — and keep an individual approach with everyone.Whether you want to start from scratch, practice casual conversation, or just learn enough for markets and taxi rides, I can help.
Rates are still budget-friendly (cheaper than most language apps).
DM me if you’re interested.
