Self Promo/Dev Post Colonerra: Age of Exploration

Hi everyone!

My name is Mihailo, and I’m the lead developer of COLONERRA: Age of Exploration, a historical colony-building and turn-based strategy game inspired by classics like Sid Meier’s Colonization.

We’re a small team from Serbia, building a game about establishing settlements in the New World and gradually turning them into a prosperous, independent nation. Unlike many strategy games, COLONERRA focuses less on warfare and more on building a successful colonial economy, developing settlements, and managing your growing nation.

A big part of the game is developing each colony:

  • Build and expand. Start with a small colonial settlement and gradually develop it. Construct buildings and establish specialized outposts to support your growing economy.
  • Manage workers and production. Your colonies have different gathering fields, each offering distinct production opportunities. How you organize your economy matters.
  • Defend. The King decides when wars are declared, so you must be prepared to defend your colonies against attacks at any time. And don't forget those pesky pirate raids!
  • Trade. Sell your goods to the Crown, barter with Indigenous nations, or trade with passing ships. You can even organize smuggling expeditions to avoid taxes.
  • Explore. Chart new territories, establish settlements, and discover natural landmarks that provide unique bonuses.

Of course, there’s more to it than just building. You’ll also deal with royal demands, random events, and relationships with Indigenous nations. But at its heart, COLONERRA is about developing your settlements, building a thriving economy, and deciding what kind of nation you want to create.

We’re still developing the game, and I’d genuinely love to hear what you think, especially from people who enjoy the settlement-building and resource-management side of strategy games.

Discussion Any suggestion for planetary bases building in the solar system?

We have started the design and implementation of player's owed bases on planets in the solar system.

Planets terrains are realistic and based on the real NASA terrain maps.

Players will be able to carry the various modules to build their bases on the planets with their cargo spaceships, land and build the bases.

Everything is modular and can be moved/improved over time. The central part are the Pharus (a beacon that delimit the player's owned land property) and the power plants needed to power all the various modules: Habitat, Offices, warehouse, shields and laser turrets, Personal data centers etc....

Any suggestion what you would like to have available on your solar system planetary base?
Any specific building/usage mechanics you like most?

Many thanks in advance!

https://play.encamp.dev

In Encamp, you create your own colony in a procedurally generated infinite world: gather resources, build a farm and workshops, fight, level up your pawns to unlock perks, research up the tech tree.

Everyone plays in one persistent shared world, so you'll run into other people's colonies while exploring

The game is in very active development

Other My Kickstarter is live! A proud moment as a solo developer, although life has made things pretty difficult recently.

Hey all!

I'm Nick, a solo developer from Cambridge, UK.

For the past year I've been building Luminids alongside working full-time. It's a peaceful little voxel world where you build colonies, explore, farm, fish, craft and look after these tiny creatures that have their own personalities, memories and relationships.

I wanted to make something that felt cozy, warm and inviting. Somewhere you could build a home, watch your little community grow and just enjoy being there. It's about stillness and calm vibes.

I'm proud of what I've made so far, and very close to a public demo.

Unfortunately, life hasn't been particularly kind recently. My work contract was ended early, and I'm now facing the very real possibility of losing my home. It's hard for me to ask for help, but I'm putting my best foot forward in the hope that more kind souls will continue to support this project.

So this Kickstarter means an awful lot to me, both for the game and personally.

I'm trying to raise £12,000 to help bring Luminids to the world in February 2027.

If it's your sort of game, I'd be incredibly grateful if you'd consider backing it. Even a small pledge helps, and there are reward tiers too.

And if you can't, sharing it with someone who might enjoy it would mean a lot.

Thanks for taking a look. ❤️

Self Promo/Dev Post Preparing Estandarte for Android launch — village layouts, depots and direct unit orders

Hi, I'm Diego, the developer of Estandarte. I shared an early version of its village economy here during closed testing. I'm now preparing the Google Play pre-registration phase, and the current Android test build is 0.6.13.

The settlement is more than a place to produce an army: villagers carry resources to storage before you can spend them. Moving a depot closer to a gathering area shortens the delivery route. You place buildings and directly command both workers and troops, with English and Spanish text available. I'm trying to keep those village-building decisions understandable on a phone screen.

Recent player feedback has pointed to buildings being hard to identify, text readability and choppy animation. Those are useful priorities for the next improvements. For people who enjoy base building, which village interaction would you most want to see in an uncut gameplay clip: setting up the first economy, expanding to another resource area, or defending a working settlement?

Official Google Play listing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.estandarte.valle

Pre-registration activation is still pending Google's review. Once its button is enabled, signing up for the launch notification will be free; the game will be paid at release and signing up does not give immediate access.

Development uses substantial AI coding assistance. Thanks for following the project and for any specific feedback.

Game recommendations My city and traffic sandbox is now on iOS and Android — help me shape its next direction

Hi everyone!, the solo developer of Traffic Sandbox: City Builder.

The game is now available on iOS and Android, and I’d really appreciate some help shaping where it goes next.

Right now, you can reshape a 3D landscape, draw roads freely, connect homes, workplaces and shops, and watch traffic move through a growing town. Buildings appear automatically; you build the connections between them.

That foundation is playable, but the game’s longer-term direction is still taking shape. I’m considering two paths:

A — A people-focused city builder

Develop neighbourhoods around residents’ needs, daily routines, jobs and city services. Transport would support the lives of the people in your city.

B — A vehicle-focused transport and logistics game

Focus on road networks, junctions, public transport, deliveries and supply chains. The city would create demand for the transport network you design.

These are possible future directions, not features I’m claiming are already in the game.

Which would you personally want to play, and why? What would you hope to do in that version?

If you have time to try the current game, hearing what you enjoyed—or what felt missing—would help me much more than choosing A or B alone. Even feedback on the clip is welcome; please just mention whether you’ve played it.

Thanks for taking a look and helping a small project find its direction.

AI disclosure: Generative AI was used extensively for code generation and to create some game assets. I directed development, integrated the results and tested the game.

Self Promo/Dev Post In Worlds, you build up one home and bring resources back from fresh worlds. The free public alpha is live

Hey guys, I shared an early look at Worlds here last week. The public alpha is now open, and I've put together a new trailer showing the home building and expeditions.

The home world is the place you keep working on between trips. You can build, set up crafting stations and grow crops there. To find more materials and gear, you head out with a caravan into a fresh world, explore and fight your way through it, then bring what you found back home.

That return trip matters. If you die on an expedition, you lose what you found on that run. Your home gives you something to come back to and build up over time, while the places you go exploring keep changing.

New alpha trailer: https://www.reddit.com/r/CoOpGaming/comments/1x8aysz/i_made_worlds_an_online_coop_rpg_for_up_to_8/

You can play the alpha free in your browser: https://worldsalpha.com

You can go on expeditions solo or with friends, with online co-op for up to 8 players. It's still early, so I'd especially appreciate thoughts on how the building and progression feel. What would make you want to spend more time working on your home between trips?
