Today my partner and I made our first Money Bowl together. I’m so grateful for the fact he agreed to do this ritual together 💛 .

I looked up ingredients and references beforehand, but we set it up together to align our energy and intentions. Our intention is to bring financial abundance, growth, and smooth energy flow into our home and lives.

Here are the steps and ingredients we used:
- Played calm background music to set a peaceful atmosphere.
- Cleansed the bowl, ingredients, and our space with sound before starting. We used a golden colored sound bowl for this.
- Used a base of salt and brown rice to represent abundance (and to hold everything upright).
- Added some rolled Euro bills along with several scattered coins.
- Added whole cinnamon sticks around the bowl to speed up the magic and bring warmth and success.
- Placed crystals in and around the bowl, including Pyrite (for luck and wealth), Green Aventurine (for opportunity), Malachite (to attract new opportunities and luck) and Opalite (to clear blockages, enhance the visualization of our goals).
- Placed three candles. Green, yellow and white
- Positioned the Ace of Pentacles Tarot card right behind the bowl to act as an anchor to manifest receiving unexpected gifts, financial windfalls, and new opportunities

We’ll light the candles on the next full moon, and in the mean time continue to visualize energy, stability, and financial flow coming into our lives.

I don’t know how to blend these two ideas together because they seem to contradict each other.

If reincarnation exists and past lives are a thing, then it would make sense that I wouldn’t be able to contact my dead grandfather, because he has been reincarnated into the body of a baby already.

Yet, I think I was able to contact my grandpa the other day. But where this gets messy is that someone I trust a lot definitely believes in the concept of past lives.

I don’t understand how these things can exist at the same time.

Like, do some people get reincarnated and other people stick around to guide their descendants and watch over them?

Hello! I purchased spell oils from Art of the Root without knowing about the controversy behind the brand. If you don’t know the seller is white and sells voodoo/hoodoo based oils, which are obviously closed practices. I bought them because I am in school and wanted a cheaper alternative to moonlight and sage, which I can buy every now and then, but not as frequently as I’d be able to buy AOTR. I can’t return them as per their policy, but I take closed practices and initiation based spirituality and magic VERY seriously. The oils I bought aren’t (to my knowledge) part of a closed practice, and don’t reference any deity, but if the owner of the brand is sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong, that bad energy follows no matter what. Since I did save up for these I don’t want to throw them away, so is there any way to protect myself or cleanse them so I can still use them safely and respectfully? Are there any in the Witchy world? Left my window open for the dragonfly for days and went away for the weekend after it stayed in my room for a day and cane back to find it dead, (it was raining for a day or two so must have why it didnt leave but I returned and found it on the floor). The Southern Old Lady/Southern Moon/Granny moth came i to my room with another moth but one died after being in my room for few days, attempts ignored to leave as well. I tried doing an egg cleanse for the first time and the egg broke on my hands while rubbing it through my body when I was not squeezing it hard or anything. I was rubbing it on my back and i heard a “crack”. So I poured it out in my water. Is that a thing? Like did i do something wrong? I have been stuck in this feeling for a long time and have suspected it being something done to me still being in love with someone I haven’t spoken to in 6 years just isn’t me. I’ve been considering a cord cutting for a long time because we are both powerful practitioners and I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point she did some type of love or obsession jar/spell on me. We both loved each other very very much however things got very negative when COVID hit for both our mental health as individuals. I didn’t bring her happiness anymore and out of my own self hatred and my love for her I left thinking it was the right thing to do. I have since had a live in long term relationship(3 years), hook ups and situationships and yet my love respect and longing to be a good man for her and her family has done nothing but get stronger. I’m an atheistic witch, but I think spiritual rituals are a great way to connect with yourself and help your body and mind! Now I start each morning with a prayer, setting intentions, and sometimes doing a quick tarot reading for myself to set the right vibe for my day. I genuinely feel like it’s helping. I grew up in a different major religion (not going to say which because I’m not trying to hate on anything), but I did get a lot of trauma from it and I was nervous to step back into spiritual rituals. But doing this has made me feel better and more connected with the world and myself than anything I used to believe. It’s helping me heal. 💜🤞🏼

1 so recently, I made a return to the craft after being sucked into the vortext of Christianity. The first thing I did was set up protections in my room, placed a spell on the bonnet i sleep in (spiderweb/dreamcatcher), made transmutation. I had dreams of shadow people sitting on my chest twice and feeling suffocated but those have stopped. I still wake up feeling anxious and like I'm lacking air in my lungs. I'm not sure if this is magical or mundane and is more tied to my waking up worried about being tardy to school. Need more protection or need to calm down?

2 among the spells I cast at the start, a fat loss and toning spell was among them. I visibly have not gained nor lost but I was at the doctor a few days ago and put on 7 kilos?? 3 the other spell I cast was a love spell on this Aries rising Gemini sun boy I like. I'm a Libra sun Gemini rising. Of course, I know he's not the one but I wanted fun so I cast a spell on him in form of a witch's ladder with his full names spelled out and spoken plus his signature in the centre of the knot on the ladder written by him. I also did some candle work and invited/ asked Aphrodite, Eros and psyche for help as my incantation/ song while doing my ladder was to do with the heart, mind and flesh. Now I see Aphrodite would've been enough but I digress.

I asked lady Aphrodite to send me a dude who's actually what I need and would heal me as much as I would heal him (a saggitarius) and in my heart of hearts I knew I had to undo my spell on the Aries boy, but I asked her over pendulum and got a violent yes so I undid it. I couldn't undo the knots but I sang the incantations neutral and inverse lyric and undid the final binding I spoke into it then set it on fire. Next day he's texting me all through class and being all attractive. Any ideas?? He's a straight jehovas witness btw.

There’s a feeling when starting witchcraft that you should learn everything as soon as possible. TLDR; you don’t. Trying to learn everything too fast will turn it from a craft to a class.

There are so many avenues of magic, it can be very daunting to start. Start with the things that attracted you to witchcraft in the first place. For me it was spell work, for you it might be divination or astrology. Learn about where the power comes from in that craft, how to use it, ethics, and common mistakes/misconceptions.

Even if you don’t check your horoscope or know your planets, doesn’t mean you don’t acknowledge its power/existence. Just because you don’t know your IP address, doesn’t mean you aren’t using the internet.

Approach it with childlike wonder, not the academic discipline of a PHD student
