Same family of wasps that I posted video of a few weeks ago, where the male picked up the female from a piece of grass. This pair is a different species, but same family. But the female was much bigger than the thynnid females I've been rescuing from the swimming pool (see second photo for size comparison with my index finger).
When they had done their business, she kind of flicked off, then walked down the plant stem to the ground to look for a beetle larva to lay her egg in.

We have had a couple wasps inside the house and have found this by the back door.
We don't want to kill them if they are native and likely not to be a problem. But I know nothing about wasps and we have an 18 month old who is curious but I don't want stung :)
Thanks!

Victoria - West of Melbourne.
Found this little guy just on my bed, looks like a type of ladybug to me, but I don't really know about these kinds of insects all too well.
Wondering what she is.

I live in Southern Tasmania and I have noticed these spiders I have never seen before clustering together in webs with the weirdest spikey egg sacs

Just snapped this picture of 3 small insects - completely still - in a park in south east suburbs of Melbourne. For scale the “cup” of the flower is about 12mm across so these “bees” are very small indeed. Would love to ID them or find out what they’re doing here!

Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. Caught and released this bull ant which came inside my place. See them most days in warm weather. They are solitary hunters. I have seen them prey on other insects.
It has been warming up now that it’s spring time here. My earlier post had someone saying it was a queen with wing scars, but I think it might just have some cobwebs from crossing the shed and house floor. We usually get the flying ants in late summer? Any thoughts?

A few critters from my walk today, Perth WA.
Would love an ID on the long fly(?), red isopod looking thing and the little green nymph.
