I’ve been a fairly repressed person most of my life and I figured at 23 it’s about time to explore things a little bit. Most of my close friends are pretty straight edge and would not be interested in a sex club pr anything of that sort. Any tips to gas yourself up in order to go solo? Or is this generally frowned upon?

So I’ve lived at my house for over three years and just noticed this red stake in the middle of my backyard. It’s wedged in there pretty good and the only marking on it says “MGS CONTROL” as you can see from the photo.

Now obviously I did some research before posting here and it appears to be a survey marker, specifically marking out property lines. But the odd thing about it is 1. It’s in the middle of my backyard, not close to a property line and 2. I have never noticed it in three years event though I do all of the yard maintenance myself.

The conspiracy theorist in me is saying that someone hopped the fence and put the stake in recently and will be coming to take over my property with a summons. But obviously that is far fetched. The more likely scenario is that I have just missed seeing until now, but I was hoping someone here might have any insights as to the purpose of this marker and why it’s placed in the middle of the yard. I am trying to find some theatre props for my 12 count student elementary theatre program. It could be hand puppets or anything of any sort. I’ll be donating the objects to the school for their use and just borrowing them during my programming. I don’t know exactly how to make this post, but my 5 year old son started kindergarten this year in Bend. Only a month ago. His school is about 15 minutes from where the shooting took place today. Im trying to budget for an upcoming show, I know they have a two item minimum. I have reached out to the club twice to get a menu with prices, they refuse each time saying the menu inside the club has prices but I can't see that menu until I am already there. They tell me their items range from $4-25 so I need not worry. I think theres a big difference between a $5 plate of fries and a $12 plate of fries. Im just trying to plan my meals/spending ahead of time. I understand that all their prices are subject to change (as is every business in existence but that doesn't stop most places from posting their current menu with current prices), does anyone have a picture or anything of their current prices? Does anyone remember the band Dualesc from Portland? I am a big fan of those dudes. They have a couple albums on streaming services but they had an older album called Oscillations that isn't on those platforms. My partner and I live in Roseway neighborhood and love Halloween. A few streets down from us is always super busy with trick-or-treaters Halloween night, but our street is dead--too close to a busy intersection.

We thought it would be fun to park our car on the busier street, decorate it and dress up in costumes, and have an informal trunk-or-treat stop. That being said, we haven't seen anyone else doing this before in our neighborhood.

Does this seem acceptable/appropriate? Would we get side-eyes from parents? Do you think anyone would even notice us or stop by?

If this doesn't seem like a good idea, do you have any other suggestions for ways to get in on the fun of trick or treating? We don't have kids of our own (yet).
