Discussion Lip gloss in similar shade?
I’d love it if it was available on Amazon since I have a gift card, but it’s totally fine if not! Thank you! 🥹

Hello and welcome to the Alter-Daily Help Thread! The purpose of the ADHT is to ask simple questions, troubleshoot routines, get quick recommendations, prevent the sub from being too cluttered, and to guide new users.

Hello AB! Welcome to Product Authenticity Thursday,
Our weekly product authenticity thread is a work in progress, comments about how to improve are welcome. We made our best effort based on comments received here as well as what we have been seeing as mods.
We would like to note that product packaging AND formulas may vary by country of sale and date of manufacture. This might include anything about the formula. Our goal is to make it easier for folks to compare such things, and to confirm or assuage concerns about their products.
Please post any photos or experiences you have around your AB products, while adhering to our other subreddit rules.
Make sure you state where you purchased your products from. If you bought from a 3rd party of a major retailer, you can say for example, 'eBay/amazon/taobao seller' instead of sharing the specific name, if you prefer.
To help you get more responses, consider including:
Comments and Questions welcome, we hope this thread is helpful!

shade breakdown .ೃ༄
(from top to bottom)
wakemake - real defining pencil liner
1. 04 soft brown
2. 02 deep brown
canmake - creamy touch liner
1. 01 deep black
2. 02 medium brown
3. 03 dark brown
4. 11 cloudy gray
5. 16 pretty milktea
canmake - lasting liquid liner
1. 05 griege
canmake - slim liquid eyeliner
1. 03 griege
2. 01 black
clio - extreme gelpresso pencil liner
1. 10 glam brown
2. 01 black brown (unpictured)
my thoughts:
wakemake
i <3 how the wakemake liner tips are slanted! it makes drawing a wing rlly easy. i also had 05 teary pink but i used her up recently. i have reallyyy long days. no smudging or budging from regular wear but granted i haven’t rubbed or cried with them. overall, i would still buy them again!
canmake - creamy touch
clearly my fav brand for eyeliners! i like the tip of wakemake more but i appreciate the creaminess of this formula bc it glides on consistently easier. when i’ve applied swatches on my hand it would last quite long. it does come off if i cry or swipe my eyes from crying. has transferred a lil when i’ve napped too. still love them tho for their ease of application and shades! i use 16 pretty milktea for my lower lash line while the rest are for my wing
canmake - lasting liquid liner
claims to be waterproof but i haven’t tested that just yet. i like to use this under my eyes and to bring back my beauty marks after doing my base makeup
canmake - slim liquid eyeliner
i like to use these for a sharper more precise wing! the name is very fitting. if you’re a beginner, i think this’ll help you create more precise lines
clio - extreme gelpresso
i don’t really like shade 10 glam brown bc i prefer liner without any sparkle; it’s a personal preference. i LOOVE 01 black brown. it’s unpictured bc i used it all up but i have 2 more otw from yesstyle. i like to use this to line my upper lash line. this liner has the thickest tip compared to the others on this list. however, i find that easier for my upper lash line than something extremely small
feel free to leave questions, comments, etc! i’d love to hear your fav liners or your experiences w these :D

I’m curious if there’s any powder products that you can use to ‘set’ your skincare? I’ve gotten back into skincare and my skin has gotten amazing but i hate the wet/sticky feeling of product on my face and looking oily, especially before bed.

Wondering if anyone’s ever tried to use the majority of one lines product in their routine and see if there’s any noticeable difference?
For example: torriden dive in toner works well on my skin, would it be smart for me to incorporate their serum + moisturizer + sunscreen?

I recently visited Japan and Korea and realized all the girls not only have amazing face skin, but their bodies are super soft poreless and smooth. Do you know what products they use? I currently use an African net sponge and moisturizer but my skin is nowhere near as nice

Anyone tried this toner? How is it? I bought this cos it was cheaper than the others.

I’m basically starting a rebuttal against my watery eyes - what TF do you mean I have to pat&dry and then reapply the concealer in either corner, only for it to look awful around the edges… And do that 4 times before giving up because the ducking cycle continues????
Pls save a girl.
For reference - I’m slithtly cool-toned, shade 17-19.

I have pretty dry skin and been concerning about wrinkles as well so I've been thinking of adding soothing & moisturizing skincare products.
As for my hair, I have superrr fine, low-density hair, so I've been getting more into scalp care and hunting for new products that might help with thinning.
Products (from top left) :
- Bananal Intensive Rice PDRN Scalp Wrap
- Bananal Intensive Scalp Serum
- Morethan8 Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner
- Moev Scalp Clarifying Shampoo
- Thank You Farmer Rice Pure Essence Toner
- Urbanand Morning Fresh Capsule Cream
- Pixelpure Glow Cleansing serum pad
- SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule
- Medic*be PDRN ampoule
- Ongredients Skin Barrier Calming Lotion
- Toun28 Peptide Cica Serum
- Arencia Green Cleanser
- Celimax Pore+Dark Spot Brightening Mask
- Dr.G Hyal Cica Cooling gel mask
- Biodance Hydro-Ceranol Real deep mask
Some are repurchases and some are new products I'm trying out for the first time!

Hi, I’ve been eying this two hair oils by ululis. I don’t have a big hair concern since my hair is quite healthy, I just want a nice scented product.
Have your tried them? Which is the best smelling one?

context:
- i have a big ceremony coming up in early december and i am inviting my found family. these are the first ppl in my life to help me feel truly supported, seen, and loved. i already know im gna cry, SO . . .
in your experience, what has been the most cry-proof, sweat-proof, budge-proof makeup and techniques? i’m talking eyes, base, lips, but anything flies!
i’ve seen similar discussions but i’d love to hear new updates :D
so far, here are my findings:
- canmake creamy touch liner (but will come off if rubbed)

Has anyone tried this new version that now comes without a pump? Do you feel like it’s very different from the OG? I really love this BB cream but now I’m a bit scared to order it.

reposting per mod's instructions 🫡🫡
seeing the posts about missha's bb cream updated packaging has been going down memory lane. missha perfect m has been around so long that I remember using it 15 years ago. unfortunately the formula was not a match for me (even though I desperately wanted it to be) but my favorite bb cream back then was this face shop aqua tinted bb cream!! it's been long discontinued and I yearn for it all the time 😭
I remember the marketing was about how it had a high moisture content (like... 75% water or something? don't quote me on that!) so it was very light and refreshing (it had a slight cooling sensation during application). there was a big trend of water-based bb creams at the time, so other brands that had similar items include dr. jart, holika holika (same line that the jelly bb cream was from! that one has been discontinued more recently, like within the last couple of years), lieole (do they still exist??)... maybe more but I didn't try them. TFS one was the best though!!! it only had two shades but I remember the warmer/yellower one being a great match for me.
I've been chasing it ever since it was discontinued and tried various bb creams, tinted moisturizers, and skin tints but nothing ever manages to get that perfect viscosity and easygoing/natural coverage.
salute to anyone who remembers this baddie 🫡 and if anyone thinks they have a dupe (even just based off this description alone since you can't try it anymore), let me know! this is my white whale lol

I travelled to Thailand last year and bought a couple of those sunscreens which I fell in love with! But all the korean stores locally offer the US formula. I want the Japanese version.
I would need it delivered to Florida, ideally not have to wait a month to receive the package and not pay duty/tariffs.
Does anyone know a good place?
Thank you!

Hii
Does anyone know an Asian Beauty dupe for Becca’s brightening under eye corrector? Specifically one that also has light reflecting qualities?
I really like this color corrector, but since Becca exited Sephora it’s been a bit difficult to buy since I live in Asia. Does anyone know of any similar products? Would really appreciate it!
Thank you!

It seems that the goodal heartleaf calming moisture sun cream has been reformulated. I was trying to restock on the websites where I usually buy the sunscreen (Yesstyle and Stylevana) and saw that they were sold out. THEN I see this new Goodal sunscreen that looks suspiciously like the calming moisture sun cream but with 'OTC version' tagged onto the end. The issue? The ingredients are completely different 😭. I'm hoping that I'm just hallucinating because I love this sunscreen so much and I do not want to have to look for a replacement. Hopefully I'm just jumping the gun but has anyone else noticed this?

Beta glucan is the star of the whole line and IUNIK markets beta glucan as the reason these products are good.
But look at the concentrations:
- Serum: 160,000ppb (note is ppB, parts per billion, not ppm)
- Cream: 60,000ppb
- Sunscreen: 1,000 ppb
Aren't they too low? For example, the 160000 ppb of the serum equals 0.016%
What do you think?

All I have ever used is the dokdo cleanser (thinking about trying the milk— any thoughts?), rose water mist as toner, beauty by joseon sunscreen, COSRX snail mucin serum, COSRX snail mucin crème (which u don’t really use). Also if anyone uses the vit c dr Althea lmk!
I have really basic dry skin (oily nose), I don’t break out, have no scars or pigmentation.
I like to keep my skincare very very simple with simple soft products nothing too harsh or chemically.
I’m a teenager (idk if this helps) looking for a better serum, and moisturizer.. please give me recs!!! Thanks!

Is it just me, or do you have phases with different sunscreen brands and markets?
There was a single year where I was obsessed with Japanese sunscreens, love their texture and all… then I went for Korean sunscreens and just wore only Korean sunscreens because it felt like absolutely nothing on my skin… then I had a European sunscreen obsession because of their high UVA protection among all..
I’m Australian so I do occasionally come back to our own, and we’ve been really making advancements with new formulas and cool innovations so I have had periods where I like ours
But… yet again I think I’m going back for the Japanese sunscreens because it just had the single most benefits for me and I think they were the easiest to wear consistently when some others were more or less annoying to me. Korean sunscreens are good too, but there is just something about Japanese sunscreens and how cooling they are for the skin
I stay inside often so I don’t think the minor UVA exposure is going to affect me so deeply when I am only exposed if I am close to a window (not often). If I were to go outside for long periods I’d rely on more heavy duty UVA strong sunscreens
Right now I’m thinking about going back to the Skin Aqua Serum SPF50, absolutely fabulous to wear. It is coming to summer here in Australia so a comfortable sunscreen is better than inconsistent or none for me

Not a scent from a perfume or mist --just regular skincare products that instantly relax you or something that's nostalgic.
For me, Innisfree always hits that gentle, fresh spot, and the ginseng Sulwhasoo scent is pure comfort because it reminds me of my grandma.

Does anybody have any reviews and SWATCHES of these three shades?
