I gave her an animation reference and a png of my character. I'll 100% hire her for my launch trailer, too.

I’ve been trying to make a living from my art for years, but I still haven’t been able to turn it into a steady source of income. I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of to find clients, or at least everything I know how to do.
I have a VGen account with my portfolio and commission options all set up, but I’ve only ever gotten one commission through it. It was from an artist I reached out to myself for advice on how to get more clients, and I feel like I’ve already put all of their suggestions into practice.
People have recommended getting involved in fandoms and communities on Reddit and other social media platforms, so I’ve been trying that. I’m currently active in the Mega Man and JoJo fandoms, but so far, nothing has come of it.
I know this might come across like I’m just trying to get people to feel bad for me and commission me out of pity, but that’s really not what I’m going for. I’m hoping to reach artists who regularly get a lot of commissions and might be willing to share some advice, because honestly, I’m running out of ideas and don’t know what else to try to attract clients!

I can take better pictures if needed! But like the title says, I'm a traditional artist looking for someone who can take my sketches and line them. I'm in a weird place because I like the way my sketches turn out but I hate them when they're lined ;v; I guess what I'm saying is that I want help making a coloring book for my OCs haha

I NEED TO DRAW MORE FOR MY PORTAFOLIO GIVE ME YOUR OCS OR SHIPS OR YUMESHIPS PETS IDK BUT SOMETHING GAAHHHH

I have started doing commissions for some time now , opened an acc in many social media platforms and have been active posting my comms everyday on multiple discord servers . O have also been sending portfolios to any art requests I’m interested in but the answer is always a nty !

I’m curious to know whether its an art issue or if my prices are too unreasonable and if art contests are a good option to consider .My prices are as follows:

Character art

• Portrait — $25
• Bust-up — $35
• Half-body — $50
• Full-body — $70

Illustrations

• Full illustration — $150
• Reference sheet — depends on the combination

Extras

• Additional character — +50% of the base price
• Sketch — 50% of the listed price

I appreciate any help or feedback :)

Ever since AI art has taken off, it’s been really hard for me to find potential clients willing to pay for my art, especially when they can theoretically get a version of it for free. That’s why I had to lower my prices, even if I spend hours on a single drawing

My pricing is already lowball but idk why I still dont get a lot of clients or is it just my art..?

And my TAT aint that long, 1-3 weeks for the complexity. I'm new to Vgen too

u/Routine-Astronaut199's super cute Ever After High OC!

I will try to do as many as possible, moslty from sketches to color but yes depending on time and complexity.

Here are some of my works.

Hi,

I've recently had some time off work and have been enjoying building a website about something I'm passionate about, retro gaming.

I'm looking to commission a simple logo for the website, although my budget is fairly limited at US$25. I'm not sure what's achievable within that budget, but I'd be interested to hear what you could offer.

The website is AftermarketGames.com, which focuses on new games developed for classic gaming systems.

I'm after something that complements the site's existing design and colours. I quite like the idea of a retro or pixel-art style, but I'm happy to give the artist some creative freedom.

The logo would primarily be used on the website and as a profile picture on social media accounts promoting it, so something that works well at smaller sizes would be ideal. A transparent background would also be appreciated.

The website is currently a personal, non-commercial project. However, I may eventually introduce something like Patreon or limited advertising to help cover hosting and maintenance costs, so I'd like the logo to be suitable for that kind of future use.

I'm more than happy to credit the artist on the website and social media, with a link to their portfolio.

One important requirement is that no generative AI is used in creating the artwork. I'm happy for inspiration to come from anywhere, but I'd like the finished design to be created by the artist.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what's possible within my budget.

Thanks!

Any skill level! I want to see people's takes on them. Feel free to change their species (like making them human or anthro)! If you need info about them or more images lmk!
