Recent Announcement with Additional Information
Over the last several months we have a seen a significant rise in activity across this subreddit, primarily revolving around politics and current events.
Because talk is cheap and it means nothing without action, we on the mod team would like to remind everyone:
- If you disagree with defense contractors, from drone to missile manufacturing, regardless of what it is used for or where they may go...
- If you want change for law enforcement policies, training, and accountability at the state level...
- If you are passionate about women's reproductive rights...
- If you believe Arkansas should/could be more affordable outside of lower income taxes...
- If you don't like data centers popping up without regulation...
- If you believe in preserving the natural outdoors of this state...
- If you believe in more rights for renters...
- If you believe in a better educated state population, from children entering school to adults within our workforce and beyond
- If you believe in getting corporate donors out of politics..
- If you believe your local/state politician is not doing the job they were previously elected to do...
- Or you can't make your mind up and just want change...
...we implore you to get out and vote. There is no electoral college here. Every election this year is purely decided on number of votes cast.
Get out there and let your voice be heard.
Every. Vote. Matters.
We will keep this post pinned to the top of the subreddit until Election Day. If you have questions about voting or need some help, please don't hesitate to ask. If the mod team can't help you find the answer you need, we're sure someone else can.
Comments will be set to Sort by New for this purpose.

Arkansas TV Youtube Stream
This will be our ONLY live post for this debate.
- All other posts submitted for this debate will be removed until the debate is over.
- This post will remain pinned to the top of the subreddit, until the next debate. At which point the pinned posts will change to the latest debate.
- This Megathread, and all following Debate Megathreads, will be linked to the Announcement Post.
- When the debate is over, we will resume allowing posts on the debate itself. We welcome discussion to continue in the debate thread itself, but if you wish to take a subject and expand on it in a new post, so long as it follows the rules, we salute you. Go forth and conquer.
Comments will be in Contest Mode for the duration of the debate.
Contest Mode means:
- Randomized Sorting: Comments appear in a random order every time you refresh the page, rather than sorting by top, best, or new.
- Hidden Scores: Upvote and downvote counts are hidden from regular users and set to obscured values in the API.
- Collapsed Replies: Replies to top-level comments may be hidden behind buttons to keep the thread clean.
- We are going to test this out as a community together. If you have questions or wish to leave your thoughts about Contest Mode, please send us a modmail. Please keep discussion in here about the debate.
- Depending on how the debate discussion goes, we may choose to turn Contest Mode off after the debate is over.
Please remember to read the Announcement Post pinned at the top of this subreddit as well as to follow all Reddit Sitewide Rules and our own subreddit rules.

๐ฃ๏ธ DISCUSSION ๐ฃ๏ธ I had no clue 94.1 KKPT โThe Pointโ was so anti-liberal
The amount of mud slinging conservative ads they are playing for the election is crazy- particularly the anti-Democrat/anti-liberal ads for Sanders and against Chris Jones. The Jones one in particular is being played at least twice an hourโฆ โChris Jones wants your money to go to sex change operations of our children!โ All the ads are โBiden was destructiveโ and โthe democrats are coming for your kids and your private insurance!โ
Iโm well aware they are a privately owned station and can do as they wishโฆ but wow, it says a lot about the people there if these are the ads they have zero issue putting on the air. They are not playing any ads other than extreme right wing, not even moderate right wing, and zero left.
On another note, is there another classic rock station I can pick? :/

๐๏ธ POLITICS ๐๏ธ What are the strongest reasons to think Hallie Shoffner could still pull off an upset?
I think we have had enough of Cotton. Past performance doesn't necessarily predict future performance, and polling are snapshots in time rather than guarantees.
