Project Design/Guidance Temperature monitor

Title: I built a DIY PC temperature monitor using Arduino! 🌡️💻

Post:

Hey everyone!

I built my own DIY PC temperature monitor using an Arduino Uno R4 WiFi, an LCD screen, and a temperature sensor.

The idea was to monitor the temperature inside my PC case and display it on the LCD in real time. I also added a buzzer that activates when the temperature gets too high.

It's a simple project, but it was a fun way to learn more about electronics, Arduino, and PC hardware!

What do you think? Do you have any suggestions for improving this project? 😁

"Reactor core stable" or "meltdown risk: normal" is more interesting to someone passing by then "temp OK". Have some fun with the messages. Flashing " THERMAL RUNAWAY EMIMENT! TAKE COVER NOW" followed by "just kidding" randomly can be fun too

Don't think we haven't noticed that floppy drive!

Also, I didn't change the case because I like vintage cases.

You could put a rolling temp histogram on the LED matrix of the Arduino Uno R4 WiFi.

Add a encoder knob to control the time between update time of that rolling temp.

When you scroll the encoder, update that LED display time on the LCD. After 20 seconds go back to your current display.

When the temp go too high, you can flash all those LEDs to attract attention to it.

Have Fun !!
