I've been away from arabic calligraphy for about 3 months it's not my best performance but I'm so happy to get back and if God wants that's will be just the beginning to get better
I can clearly say that's not the best neat steady looking thing I could write but I'm happy that I've hold the pen again

Hey everyone!
I’m getting my first tattoo this Saturday and I’m looking for some creative inspiration!
I want a custom Arabic calligraphy design combining the letters ج and ز into one symbol. These letters are very meaningful to me: ج is the first letter of my mum’s name, and ز is the first letter of my dad’s name.
I’m looking for something elegant and artistic, with the two letters naturally intertwining and flowing into each other. I’d prefer a more compact design rather than something long and narrow.
I love beautiful, flowing calligraphic curves, bold strokes mixed with fine, delicate lines, and a design where the letters blend together naturally while still remaining recognizable. I want something unique and creative, but not overly complicated or covered in unnecessary flourishes.
If anyone here has experience with Arabic calligraphy or enjoys designing custom lettering, I’d really appreciate any sketches, ideas, or inspiration you could share!
The meaning behind this tattoo is really special to me, as it represents both my parents, so I want to get the design right before committing to it.
Thanks so much for any help! ❤️

Can anyone explain the stylistic ornaments and conventions used in Mir Emad Hussaini's al-Fatihah nasta'liq caligraphy-- oddities such as the three-dot cluster under the seen, the missing two dots in yaa's, and the shared dots? What else stands out about the artwork?

i have a worry about damaging the internal ink mechanism tube thing (i dont rlly understand where it is) and also i donr know where to avoid cutting because apparently there are little "dimples" in the nib design that hold the parallel plates slightly apart 🤔

I recently finished this piece and I'm curious how other people interested in art/calligraphy would approach it.
I wanted to experiment with a very dark, almost monochromatic background and use the white calligraphy as the main focal point. The background has some subtle Arabic lettering/texturing that is meant to reveal itself more the longer you look at it.
It's acrylic on canvas, 10 × 12 inches.
I'm especially interested in feedback on the contrast, composition, background texture, and overall balance. Is the background too busy, or does it work with the central calligraphy?

"Ya Arhamar Rahimin" (O Most Merciful of the Merciful). Sometimes, a single phrase brings immense peace to the soul. This artwork is a small attempt to capture that deep yearning for the infinite mercy of the Almighty on canvas.
