iPhone Is it worth to buy an iPhone 16 plus with 90% battery health?

• Upvotes

I found an iPhone 16 plus with 90% battery health. It has a warrenty for 1 year. The reasons I want to buy it: I want a bigger screen, good batter life, and it is not a very old model. Would go go for it? Is 90% battery health enough for a whole day usage?

URGENT Should I buy an iPhone 17 or a MacBook Air M5? I can only afford one right now.

Hey everyone!

I'm stuck between buying an iPhone 17 and a MacBook Air M5, and my current budget only allows me to get one of them.

Here's my situation:

I've been using an Android phone for around four years, and it has recently developed water damage. The left side of the display has started turning purple, and the discoloration is spreading across almost half the screen. That's one of the main reasons I'm considering upgrading to an iPhone 17.

On the other hand, I'm a software developer, and I currently use my personal laptop for work. It's an ASUS VivoBook Pro with a Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and a GTX 1650. Performance-wise, it still gets the job done, but there's physical damage around the hinge/body area. The body opens up when I lift the lid, so although it works fine on a desk, carrying it around has become difficult. Thankfully, it has remained reliable otherwise.

Now comes the dilemma: the iPhone has been a teenage dream of mine, and I'd genuinely love to own one. But the MacBook would be a more work-oriented purchase, especially since I'm a software developer.

At the same time, my current laptop is still usable, while my phone's display is getting worse. I just don't know whether I should prioritize something I've wanted for years or invest in a new work machine.

If you were in my position, which one would you choose, and why? I'd appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who've faced a similar decision.

Thanks!

iPhone Should I upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro or the 18 Pro from my 13 Pro?

It’s time to upgrade from my iPhone 13 Pro. I’ll be updating through my carrier and it looks like it’s only a $100 difference between the 17 Pro and 18 Pro. I’m not someone who cares to upgrade that often, so I’m more so interested in what will be worth the price longevity wise. Any advice?

Cannot decide if the titanium series 12 will be worth it to me.

So I want to buy an Apple Watch 12 but can't decide if titanium is worth it over aluminum or just get the Ultra 4. I had an Ultra 2 and liked it but it was bulky. Reason to get the series 12 titanium is a more comfortable fit as well as I wrestle with my dog he's a cattle dog so teeth are involved and he has caught my watch before. I also skateboard and go on shorter-type hikes.

Is the aluminum good enough with Apple Care. Will the screen hold up? Or should I get a titanium series 12 or ultra 4?

Get 17e now or wait for 18e?

Currently using an iPhone 14 and the battery life has gotten really bad, so I’m thinking of upgrading.

I’m deciding between getting the iPhone 17e now or waiting for the iPhone 18e.
A few things about my usage:
- I don’t take many photos, so the camera isn’t a big priority.
- I generally use my phone for everyday stuff like messaging, browsing, social media, etc.
- Ideally, I’d like to keep my next phone for a few years.

For those familiar with Apple’s release cycle, do you think the 18e will be worth waiting for?

Alternatively, would it make more sense to just replace the battery on my iPhone 14 and wait for 20th year phone?

Would appreciate any advice, especially from people who have made a similar upgrade!

And what should be its budget?

Thanks!

Thinking of buying an iPhone 17 (looking to upgrade from my Samsung A33)

what significant changes can I notice once I buy iPhone 17?

Also, is the battery issue gonna affect me in anyway as I'm only thinking of upgrading from my current phone due to the battery being drained really quick

iPhone For work, IPhone Duo or 18 Pro Max?

Price is not an issue for me as I won’t be paying for it. Trying to decide which to go to for a work phone because I’m quite intrigued by the prospect of a foldable that can split screen which would make it easier for me to review documents and reply emails without having a separate device to lug around.

I’m upgrading from a 12 and from a productivity standpoint, I feel like it would be a great plus point over a normal slab phone. Having said that, I’m worried about it being a first generation foldable for Apple which many of you have warned about already. Would durability be that much of an issue if Apple is reported to be very stringent with their QC for the hinges and display hardware? Not generally a first generation adopter for Apple so I wouldn’t know.

Those with the 17 Pro Max and 18 Pro Max, do you yours for work and if so, did you ever find yourself needing a bigger screen?

In terms of specs, I’m more annoyed with the lack of FaceID compared to the lack of the telephoto camera. And besides work, I’m excited for split screen for general usage like reddit and gaming.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Question Is the iPad 11th Gen (A16) worth it for uni?

I'm very inexperienced in buying electronics. I'm thinking of getting this iPad (A16, 256GB version) for uni (audiology speech language pathology major). I found it selling locally for 435 JOD (about 613 USD).
I don't see many people talking about it so I'm feeling a bit skeptical. For anyone using it for uni how does it handle daily note-taking, slides, and heavy PDFs? Is 435 JOD a fair price for the 256GB model? Would be grateful for some help🙏🏼

iPhone iPhone 17 PRO MAX 2TB vs iPhone 18 PRO MAX 2TB

Hello, recently upgraded my phone to iPhone 17 PRO MAX 2TB; coming from a 15 PM 1TB. To my surprise, saw it was a $500 price hike in the max memory models so that’s why I didn’t get the 18PM. Wanted to know by people who’ve had or have both, is that extra $500 worth it and should I just exchange 17PM for the 18 Pro Max? Tech wise

My 15 broke again and my storage is running low, so upgrading regardless.

Prefer all phones brand new and Did this through carrier, for anybody who mentions why didn’t get cheaper route. Also aware of an anniversary phone coming soon

Thanks in advance

iPhone Upgrading from an iPhone 8 Plus to a 17 or 18 Pro Max?

As you can imagine, I like to keep my phones for a long time. I got that almost new 8 plus back in early 2022 after getting my previous phone stolen and needed a cheap replacement fast, but now some apps are no longer supported on this phone.

Obviously either option would be a massive upgrade, but I'm wondering which should I get. I'm a somewhat light user and I'd like to keep my phone for at least 6 years, preferably more which is why I'm deciding to go with something recent this time.

I need the phone unlocked and I can get the 17 for $929 or the 18 Pro Max for $1299. Is it really worth the extra $370?

Edit: Also, I'm planning to get it next week. Is it worth waiting until black friday? I don't mind waiting an extra month if it means potentially getting a deal.
