Backstory.. When I was 8 I got a book about drawing manga and anime and loved having fun by drawing characters in similar fashion to what was in the book by using guidelines such as lips, noses and eyes. Since then I havent drawn in years. Like 30 minutes ago I was bored so I watched a 15 minute tutorial about facial guidelines and decided to wing it with what I had remembered.
Something is off about my drawing. I slightly like it but also dislike it. Anyone who draws often, please give me tips!!

I'm having difficulty mastering the classic anime cel shading and want to get into more intricate shading, but for now, what would veteran anime artists recommend?
