No playoff implications but both teams could do some experimenting. Houston just extended Natalie Hammond. Chicago has seven players with contracts ending that I’m sure Vlatko is evaluating, Houston has six players in that situation. |

Seattle need points and we are weirdly rooting for them now to maintain a spot above Utah. I’m not ready for Jess Fishlock to retire, so I hope Seattle get into playoffs. Utah missed Tanaka and Miyabi last week, we’ll see if they are available this week. |

Holy playoffs batman! North Carolina have Portland this week and Denver next - they need to pick up every point to stay in contention. Portland are also precariously sitting in 8th after a disappointing tie with Bay. Sophia Wilson will not feature this weekend as she serves the final game of her suspension. |
| Denver 10-10-8 |
Louisville 7-18-3 |

Lousiville have the opportunity to do something very funny here. Denver genuinely are the better team based on 2026 but they have these flukey moments, and Louisville are so good at creating chaos, there might be a chance. |

Bay 7-15-6 |

Bay had an injury list a mile long last week, with Claire Hutton listed as questionable but did not feature. Kennedy Fuller might get a start again if some of those other players (Huff, Pfeiffer) remain out. |

Gotham 16-5-7 |

Gotham needs 4 points to clinch the Shield and they could get 3 this weekend... do we think they can pull it off against an Orlando that has been giving up and down performances? Also Solai Washington just got her first goal, the dam might be broken. |

KC at home is a fortress but if Washington want to stay in Shield contention they really do need at least a tie. KC have seemed to really have Chawinga back in action lately, plus Haley Hopkins taking advantage of the open spaces that leaves to score hella goals. Conversely, Leicy Santos is back from injury and the Spirit have needed her badly. They look much better with her on the field. |

Boston 9-14-5 |

Another Shield contender looking to pick up points, wow. Boston could wreck Wave’s chances with a win here, they have been looking better lately, but San Diego are just so solid I don’t see it happening. |
