I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S24 running stock Android, and I want to understand whether it’s possible to make my phone appear to the internet as a completely different device.
Ideally, I want websites and installed apps to identify it as another phone, with different device information, rather than recognizing it as my actual S24.
I’m interested in changing things such as:
Device model and browser user-agent
Android/device properties visible to websites and apps
Browser fingerprint and other identifying signals
Any other device information that services can detect
My requirements:
Samsung Galaxy S24
No root access
Preferably a system-wide solution that works across browsers and installed apps, not just one browser
I want to understand what is actually possible and what limitations remain.
Are there any legitimate methods, apps, or tools that can achieve this on stock Android? If complete spoofing isn't possible without root, what is the closest practical alternative?
I’d appreciate firsthand experiences and links to relevant guides.
