With the recent post here, I’ve noticed that men will defend the hijab to their dying breath even more passionately than women do. If you love it so much, why don’t you wear it yourself ?
How can a bunch of hair be so threatening to your masculinity ?
Plus, we see plenty of videos on TikTok for example of half-naked or nearly naked men showing off their muscles at the gym or bodybuilding competitions where men are wearing nothing but their underwear with their dih practically hanging out. Yet suddenly we never see comments about التبرج، العورة، الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر… But the moment they see a woman showing a single strand of hair, they lose their minds in the comments !
This proves that they don’t actually care about their religion, they just want to control women in the name of it.
When I think about it, it’s genuinely frustrating how hair is suddenly considered shameful and awra, and how women are persecuted over it
I’m so sick of this society

There are so many left-wing political parties in Algeria yet they seem unable to agree on even the most basic issues. And yet, left-wing values are universal : secularism, women’s rights and gender equality, minority rights, anti-capitalism and workers rights, redistribution of wealth, anti-colonialism, anti-racism, pro-immigration, free healthcare and education, freedom of expression, promotion of culture, critical thinking, scientific progress...
But apart from Louisa Hanoune, left-wing political parties are practically invisible in the political and the media landscape. And that’s such a shame !! because I feel like the younger generation is becoming increasingly left-wing and is finally moving away from regressive conservatism. Yet there’s no political party that genuinely represents these values in practice.
And then people wonder why young people don’t vote BECAUSE THERE’S NO ONE TO VOTE FOR

I’m looking into getting back into real estate in Algeria, specifically around Tipaza and the surrounding areas.
I previously worked in real estate in Dubai, so I’m familiar with finding potential buyers, sourcing properties, and connecting the two. I’m not looking for a salaried job or planning to open a full agency immediately. Ideally, I’d like to find a legally compliant way to earn a commission when a deal I introduce actually closes, by collaborating with an established, licensed real estate agency.
Before pursuing this, I want to understand the actual legal requirements here rather than rely on assumptions.
A few specific questions:
Can an individual legally act as an apporteur d’affaires (business introducer/referral partner) for a licensed real estate agency and receive an agreed commission when a transaction closes?
Does that require my own real estate agent authorization, commercial registration, or another legal status, even if I only introduce clients and the agency handles the transaction?
Is there a lawful way to collaborate with an existing licensed agent on a commission-only basis without being a salaried employee?
What are the rules concerning commission agreements, invoicing, taxes, and payment to the person who introduced the buyer or seller?
Has anyone here actually worked under this kind of arrangement in Algeria? What was the legal structure, and which authority confirmed it?
I’m particularly interested in first-hand experience from licensed agents, agency owners, lawyers, accountants, or people who have gone through the authorization process. If you can point me to the relevant legislation or the competent wilaya directorate, even better.
I’m not looking for ways to bypass the law or rent someone else’s license. I want to understand the legitimate options before investing time in this.

I'm curious, are there any Algerians living abroad or people with Algerian roots here who are trying to learn Darija?
And wondering how you go about learning it. Do you mostly learn from your parents and family, watch Algerian videos, or use other methods?
And do you find it difficult to understand people when they speak fast or to speak Darija yourself?
I'm a native speaker, and I'd be happy to help anyone who wants to learn Algerian Darija. So if that's something you're interested in, feel free to comment or send me a message! 😊

Hello everyone!
I'm a 24 y.o Algerian (F), and my future husband is a 25 y.o American (M). We want to get legally married in Algeria, but we're having trouble finding clear information about the procedures and required documents.
We're both single and have never been married before. He would be coming to Algeria for the marriage, and we'd like to understand how to obtain the mixed-marriage authorization (autorisation de mariage mixte) and what we need to prepare beforehand.
I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through this process or knows the requirements!
A few questions:
- How do we apply for the mixed-marriage authorization, and which authorities are involved?
- What documents does my boyfriend need from the US, and how must they be authenticated, legalized, or translated?
- What are the steps to get married in Algeria, and how long does the process usually take?
- If you've been through a similar situation, what was your experience, and is there anything we should know before he travels?
Any advice, personal experiences, or official sources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! ❤️

I'm building a scheduling app called Mawid, like calendly for the algerian market and I'm trying to find out what people who take appointments for work need from one.
I made a short survey that takes a few minutes: https://mawid-survey.vercel.app/
If you'd rather not fill it in, a comment helps too. Do you even need a booking tool ? What do you wish your booking tool did that it doesn't? And if you tried one and gave up on it, what made you stop?
Also if you know anyone who might be interested please share.

ive never been the hardworking type. like yeah im kinda smart (not bragging) And if i put in some effort i can get 14 15 in tests and stuff.
but dude.
3ndi bac. so its NOT the same.
Im a 17 year old scientifique student (rip) and im aiming to like. be the literal first nationally. but ik how impossible that is because ive never 7fedt f 7yati except like alittle bit in BEM. and im just so intimidated by how hard math and physics are. btw. havent started studying physics 1st nationally my ass.
idk how to do this . it stresses me out. because my main goal in life is to get a really high grade in bac so i can leave my country and meet my partner.
(and before yall dumbasses call me a teenager and فترة و تجوز
living here isnt ideal for me. im literally every minority this country hates.)
and i know how stupidly hard that is because 1. im a girl. 2. my dad obviously wont let me leage the country alone (classic misogyny idc still doing it) 3. i have ZERO MONEY and 4. im not studying like a bac student
ive always been incredibly lazy. i researched a bit and it might be executive dysfunction . or something wrong with mr because NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY TO CONVICNE ME. i WONT get up and study. i barely study the necessary subjects theres no way im goig out of my way to n7fed like 3 other subjects and n9ra arabe. hell no.
and everytime i look for like timetables for like what u should study each day. theyre so stupid. bc wdym i have to get up at 5 30 to n7fed islamya you got me messed up
(+i also deal with mild bullying at school because of what i post on tiktok. its sushinyas if youre curious so yeah. that really doesnt motivate me to go to school. i always nghib)
so yeah. im stuck. give me advice. or a timetable that isnt absolutely dictatorial as hell.

I'm asking for your help. I'm looking for a woman who gave birth on July 21, 2004, at Ben Boulaid Hospital in Blida. I've been searching for her for about 15 years. Her last name starts with "Ben." I don't want to put anyone in a difficult situation, but if anyone can help, please let me know.
