Food The food quality AND portions has truly gone down but it will never get better because you all will give them your money regardless

I remember when the Chips and Queso came with a full big plate of chips and big thing of queso. Now it’s barely half a smaller plate than before of chips. The queso keeps getting changed too

I remember when the fried pickles were 6 full spheres. Now it’s 6 smaller and thinner pickles.

I remember when the tenders came on a huge plate with TONs of fries, a pickle and Cole slaw. Now it’s the 3 tenders with fries on a much smaller plate.

Yet the prices went up again this year.

San Francisco Bay Area A heartbroken burger lover

Today at one of the showings of The Devils I was shocked and appalled to learn that the beyond meat burger substitute has been removed from the Alamo menu. My husband and I are avid Alamo stans (from the original theater in atx to the newest locations in the Bay Area) and we very reliably order the beyond burger. Until tonight it seems 🥺 goodbye cheeseburger. You’ll never convince me that a mushroom burger will be anything but wanting and mediocre in comparison.

Los Angeles Wildwood in DTLA

Is there some particular reason the DTLA location isn’t showing Wildwood? It’s selling out at theaters, including the Austin Lakeline location. It’s pretty frustrating to have a movie that’s been advertised at this theater just not show up on opening weekend. It’s really bumming me out.

App has a slightly different UI now and doesn’t seem to run smoothly. Feels like they improve it then make it worse, time and time again.

Season Pass Am I misunderstanding the Season Pass?

EDIT: User error continues to be undefeated, I somehow subscribed to the Limited Pass instead of Classic like I meant 😭 Problem solved

I've been subscribed to the Classic Season Pass for one month. In September, I used it to see Resident Evil with my wife, with our tickets costing "$7.00 for 1 Admission, $0.00 for 1 Season Pass," and the convenience fee of $4.38 bringing the total to $12.32. I thought this was pretty great for two tickets to a new movie!

But when trying to purchase any ticket after that, I've been given the message of "Alamo Season Pass is not eligible for this show because: You do not have any Season pass credits available for use. You will receive 1 credits at the start of the next billing cycle on Oct 25, 2026 at 8:06 PM for use," which is one month after my Resident Evil showing.

If I can only use the Season Pass discount once a month, but then have to pay full price for other tickets until it refills, then what's the point? I'm just paying $20 a month to get the benefit only one time, despite the Season Pass page on the website specifically saying "Subscription Tickets Per Month/Day - 1 ticket per day."

Apologies if I'm totally misunderstanding how it works. Can someone explain what I'm missing here?

Los Angeles Alamo Pet Peeves

What are some of your Alamo-based pet peeves?

For me, it's this one box office cashier whom I flash my ticket to before taking the escalator up to the theaters. The theater number is always present on our digital tickets, as we all know, but he always shouts out which theater # I'm supposed to go to, as if I didn't already know.

A lot of other employees in that spot who I flash my phone to already know and skip the step of telling me something I already know, but without fail, he always tells me.

Drives me nuts.

Anyone else have any Alamo-based pet peeves?

General Brooklyn Alamo Not Turning on the Heat

Last night I went to the Brooklyn Alamo to see Sense and Sensibility. The inside of the theater was legitatimatley 40 degrees F. Every single person inside the theater complained to the poor staff, who also seemed pissed and were straight up telling us management was refusing to do anything about it. I know this place has been going downhill for awhile, and all the other usual bullshit also occured (food taking 45 minutes to come out and then being cold, having trouble ordering because theres barely actual service in the theater and staff couldn't take our orders normally, etc.). But this is a new low. If management isn't turning the heat on in the theaters this place must be about to close their doors. I've been continuing to go there occassionaly because it generally hasn't been so bad that its not worth it when its the most convinient showtime, but this might be the last straw.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm tired of screaming into the void of Alamo customer service.

Denver Sloan’s Lake Alamo blocking people from buying tickets after a certain time now?

Post image
21 Upvotes

So yesterday I went to see the Bigfoot doc at Sloan’s Lake. Booked my ticket in the afternoon & then right after, went to boom for my family member who was joining me & got the “sold out” message. App showed every movie after 5pm marked as “sold out”. When I got to the theater, everything was fine-business as usual & was told they just couldn’t sell any more tickets. Asked why & they said they just got all remaining seats/shows blocked out. Very odd if you ask me…

Today around 2pm I noticed all their showings after 6pm were blocked out, again. Figured Ok no biggie & went to book a 5:15 Naza showing (which it only has 2 more showings left after this, at times/days that just can’t work out for me) which wasn’t blocked out, & when went to it, showed as every seat gone which I know isn’t true. So just the Sloan’s Lake Alamo has a daily cutoff time for buying tickets now? Can they even do that? And what about walk-ups if they get any? Do those people just get turned away, they didn’t have any signage on their door last night about a ticket cut-off

New York City Lower Manhattan?

I used to live in NYC, and got to enjoy the Brooklyn Alamo in its heyday. Those first few years were magical. I moved away in 2018, and have read horror stories about the current state of the place.

I’m traveling back to NYC in a few weeks and thought about trying the Lower Manhattan location — as it’s new to me.

Can any regulars tell me if they love it/hate it/what to order and what not to order.

TIA.

General Wildwood showings, or lack thereof

I've seen other posts about there not being any showings for Wildwood and the comments usually boil down to them updating the showtimes on Monday/Tuesday. They updated the showtimes here at Woodbury for the following week and there is still no showing for the movie.

If there is anyone that works at the Alamo Drafthouse that reads this post, could you possibly clarify if it is coming at all?

General Every Dismember

Hey guys I’m trying to see what every city had/has for their Dismember movie marathon! I know a lot of people have been posting their set lists on here but I was just curious about the ones who haven’t posted? What did you have? Chicago had:

  1. The Skull
  2. Final Exam
  3. the mask of fu manchu (ugh)
  4. The Carpenter (yay)
  5. The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (aka Let Sleeping Corpses Lie)
  6. Ænigma

Raleigh Dismember 2026

If you’ve never gone to Dismember I STRONGLY encourage you to go. The films are great and the staff this year was fantastic. I loved the Raleigh team making fun of the QR codes and the little pieces of paper they gave out. Does anyone know if it’s a corporate decision what movies are shown or an in house choice?

Austin No Wildwood showings?

I’ve been super excited to see Wildwood and I didn’t want to freak out when tickets weren’t on sale in the past weeks. But checking today (Monday before release) there are still no showings in Austin, Texas. If anyone has any information on if it will be shown at Alamo or not that would be great.

Yonkers Free tickets to an underground horror movie screening at Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers – October 29

Giving away 4 FREE tickets to THE WICKED (2004) unreleased horror movie at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers on Thursday, October 29 at 8 PM.
It’s a pretty outrageous underground horror film that I shot between 2004 and 2008. It remained largely unreleased for nearly 20 years until now…restored and completely re-edited it into a new 84-minute Director’s Cut.
Think outrageous practical gore effects, action, dark humor, and a whole lot of politically incorrect insanity.
4 FREE tickets for anyone interested in attending!
🎟️** Use promo code: Spooky29th (case sensitive)
**Limited to the first 4 to use the code…
