It has come to our attention that a popular image of the new Jester Dragon being used in Looking For/Trading posts is AI-generated. We have been treating posts using this image as we do every other post that contains AI-generated content: the post is removed and OP is given a warning.
However, it has come to our attention that many users are simply unaware that the image is AI-generated. Thus we feel giving any user punishment before making a PSA to our community about this is simply unfair.
I’d first like to start by pointing out the inconsistencies in this image that has led us to believe this photo is AI.
── .✦ THE PROOF ✦. ──
Inconsistent number of charms + the existence of said charms
Note that these charms are not on the final design of the Jester Dragon, and it appears they have never been a part of the design at all. These charms were likely added by the AI to make more sense of the image.
Emblem(?)
Again, another design that is not consistent with the in-game dragon's design.
Image warping/distortion
If you look closer, the left side of this dragon is more warped than the right side. There is noticeable distortion in the wing/collar area where things are getting hazy and you can't exactly tell what's going on.
── .✦. ──
Overall, there are parts where things get confusing and the AI can't comprehend what's going on so it mixes parts together to create a completely jumbled mess. This behavior, warping parts of an image that the AI can't comprehend, is consistent with AI-generated or AI-enhanced photos.
You can cross-reference these design mistakes with the actual dragon where every part of the design feels intentional and nothing is warped or disfigured.
As you can see, there are zero charms like the ones shown in the AI image and the feet are completely different. This design feels far more intentional and put together than the design shown in the generated recreation.
We are unsure of the origin of the AI image. However, we ask you to stop using it as further usage of this photo will result in a warning (punishments will increase up to a permanent ban from the subreddit if we notice continuous breaking of this rule).
── .✦. ──
We completely understand if you were unaware of the nature of this image beforehand and we do not fault you. However, if we find that the usage of this image after this post is uploaded has persisted, we will treat those posts as we do every post with AI-generated content.
We thank you for your cooperation in limiting the usage of this image!
There was a time when I did this trade, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. It was during the RGB update, and I managed to get the box early. People were offering crazy pets for it, like Crows, Parrots, Owls, and even this Frost Dragon.
Back then, new items actually felt EXCITING. You could get an item early, find someone who really wanted it, and potentially get an insane overpay. The excitement of not knowing what someone might offer was part of what made trading so fun.
But nowadays, trading feels so different. It feels like everyone just checks value websites, follows the same numbers, and treats pets like stocks instead of actually trading based on demand and personal preference.
I’m not saying value websites are entirely bad, because they can be useful. But I feel like they’ve made a lot of people afraid to make trades that aren’t considered fair by some website, even if both players genuinely want what the other person has.
I miss when trading was more unpredictable. When people could make their own decisions about an item’s value instead of letting a website decide for them.
Does anyone else feel like Adopt Me trading has lost some of its magic because of value websites?
Never in my life have i seen someone who claims to use happy values overpay for a pet, only lowball. I'm sure that people who actually use happy vals exist but I feel like 90% of people who claim to use them just want an excuse to lowball the crap out of people.
If I had a penny for every time someone offered a robot and a purrowl for my dalmation with the excuse of "happy vals", i'd be able to afford every game pass in adopt me lol
I'm planning to trade the new pets dropping tonight since I have a lot of candycorns saved up but idk where or how to find ppl willing to overpay in it's first few hours of release.
For example when the skelicorn released I saw ppl getting overpays by trading them fast
❔️❔️❔️
1) Do you guys use the trading hub, regular servers, or specific trading servers?
2) Do you make neon or megas immediately or just trade them as regulars?
3) How much val do you aim for each version when trading them early?
Hoping veteran/good traders could spare some advice thank you!!
hiii! im a pet wear collector and i really want 3 of all the more valueable ones. I dont mind op slightly if its a low demand pet! i have pictures of my inventory and the pet wear im looking for. Everything in my inventory is for trade!
I keep getting bad votes on this trade cuz it’s in my profile I didn’t think it was bad but now I’m lowk on the fence cuz yeah ig I am kinda having a hard time trying to trade the blazing lion
They have been a PAIN to trade. I doubt that I will be able to trade them for ett pets/potions since N O O N E wants them. So I feel like I may have a better shot at trading crystal eggs once I release them.
Then again, I feel like I can get more tickets if I trade them for in-game htt mega legendaries. But idk where to find people with five mega purrowls T T
Im over by a bit, but im unsure if anyone would actually do this trade. Is the cow calf cute enough to trade or would I have to switch out what im trading yes im aware megas are hard to trade In general but I still had to ask, any tips on what I could do to get these pets?
Anyone interested in either of these trades? I'm the left :) I'm looking for a bulk trade preferably! (clarification: first trade is with 1 neon + 17 reg copy cats; second trade is with 18 reg jester dragons)
I have been trying to get a mfr candicorn, ssbd + good adds. But no one has offered that. I have only gotten 5 offers total for this thing, in a day and some change. Never will I trade for a high tier again. I want my mfr candicorn back (I had a 211 friendship 🥲)
