I’m so angry and confused rn. I got an 85 on my attend tutoring assignment because my written reflection was in MLA formatting??? The assignment criteria didn’t mention formatting, so I thought I would be professional and make it MLA. The professor told me he took off points cuz I included the name of the class and professor in my reflection, cuz yk, that’s part of MLA formatting, including the name of the class and professor. Again no mention of this in assignment criteria, like wtf?? Why am I being punished for using MLA??

Has anyone else had an experience like this.

Ok, so I've been delaying taking a math class for years and finally registered for MAT 117. The course literally just started a few days ago and it has been an absolute nightmare, but not for the reasons you may think...

I actually like math, the issue is Honorlock. Literally rated 1 star wherever you can find a review of it, and it makes sense as to why. Complete invasion of privacy, technical difficulties, unreasonable expectations, and unnecessarily complicated.

My small home quite literally cannot accommodate the requirements regarding camera placement and space, and you have to agree to all of the requirements when it comes to sharing your data and information, otherwise you can't use it. Apparently every single introductory math class requires Honorlock as well, and the professors are not willing to budge on or accommodate any alternatives.

One professor even told me that if I'm unable to use Honorlock due to space restrictions and privacy concerns, I should go and use the computer in a local library each time I need to complete an assignment that requires Honorlock (which is all of them)... As if camera placement would be better there, and as if I don't have a full time job and other personal commitments that led me to choose online classes in the first place. Many professors say that if this is too much, I should just drop the class (a class that is a requirement to graduate, but they know that).

This has genuinely been a nightmare and, even being only a few days in, one of the worse course experiences that I've ever encountered.

Title pretty much says it all.

hey everyone, i just realized that my anatomy 2, biochem, and cell bio exam 3 all fall on the same day november 5th. this already happened with exam 2 where all of them were on the same day. i was wondering if anyone knew whether i could either email one of my professors or the dean of students to see if i could move one exam so that i dont need to worry about all of them falling on the same day? im not sure if professors usually accept this as a reason to administer diff exam days but i just wanted to know if anyone was in a similar situation and what you did.

Is it normal for ASU internships to not send acceptance or rejection emails? It’s been a month since my interview, and I still haven’t received any updates. Do they usually send rejection emails, or do they just leave you waiting?

Has anyone taken MAT 211 with Saloni Sinha at ASU? I’m thinking about taking her class in person and wanted to know if she’s a good professor.

How is her teaching style? Are her exams difficult? Does she explain the material well?

Would you recommend taking her? Any feedback would be appreciated!

If for an event one pays 15 to park upon entering the apache garage is the the qr code ticket necessary? It's confusing because it says pay upon exit or scan but we paid upon entering.

Not saying she’s a bad professor, but she’s now on rate my professor. Anyone taking MAT 243 in the spring should have all the “tools” available to help them pick a solid professor. Even though I think all professors get criticized when it comes to MAT 243 (boooooo)

Does anyone know if the discount is worth the cost of registration for family weekend? I know we don’t get the code until after registering which is fine. Just trying to see if it makes sense to register or just buy tickets direct.

I don’t even know if this is the right title or even the right place to post this but earlier today I got in between this guy trying to force a girl who he said was his daughter into a car. He called ASUPD after the girl ran off. Im just wondering if anyone knows the girl and knows if she’s safe, because she looked really scared and was trying really hard to get away from him. This all happened around 3:20 around Goldwater but they both started to walk down the front of university.

Who’s graduating this December from College of Liberal Arts and Sciences? I don’t know anyone else graduating this semester, so I’d love to make some friends!

Hello, I'm thinking about Touring ASU as I want to do Film and Media and want to know which campus in AZ I should tour

please tell me i'm not the only one who finds this outrageously funny

Has anyone taken these courses with these professors? I’m trying to decide between the 2 for Spring, either is required for the degree. I’ve checked Rate My Professor and both instructors do not have stellar reviews.

We need your attention to this matter today, but we’ll have an agent contact you in two weeks.

Hey all, I am not an ASU student but considering taking one of these two for a pre-medical field course. What is the difference between the two? Are they easy enough for people who are not super strong in the sciences? Do they lean more bio or chem? Thanks so much!!

Hey all!

I just applied for the program and I'm curious to hear from those already enrolled. For full-time students, how does the course load look? I am a full time Director of a library in CA and I'm trying to see what I'm getting myself into. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :-) I would like to hear from part-time attendees as well!

How is ASU online? Are there plenty of professors and plenty of seats available for Business/Economics students? Do the professors have good prerecorded lectures or do they give you a Pearsons code and nothing else? Also, anyone who transferred was that process swift and easy? Is the Admissions department fully staffed or is it one person per department lol. Also I noticed some classes start in January, does that mean you also have winter sessions? Thanks in advance !

I'm planning to check out the downtown Phoenix campus for a BSN degree and there are no official tours the day I will be there. What should I see to get a feel for the experience of a nursing student at the downtown campus?

Should I swap out for her other class. if it’s offered because now I’m worried about being late on assignments.
Has anyone ever had this happen?

Does the digital version of the official transcript on Parchment not come with one click verify or a signature? Besides getting a physical copy (which will take longer than the time I have), is there any way for me to get an official copy of my transcript that can be validated?

Sorry for the silly question, and thank you.

Hello all! I am currently enrolled in SBS 101 and was wondering if anyone had a copy of the textbook required for this class? I’m entirely strapped for cash and did not realize I would be having to pay over $50 for this professor’s own textbook. I do not get paid until next week and I am trying really hard to pay back my current debt so I would not like to accrue more 🥲

Any help is appreciated! Even if you don’t have the ebook, any sites that I could find it at even a reduced price would help a bunch!
