Harry Potter: Choose Your Path | Nine playable starts, custom characters, and Veyra Engine: Grimoire | Player guide + complete command reference
Want to build a wizarding life that goes beyond “you arrive at Hogwarts”?
Harry Potter: Choose Your Path has been reworked around Veyra Engine: Grimoire, with nine playable beginnings, custom character setup, structured records, and optional controls to help your story keep track of what matters.
Start as a first-year. Return as a professor’s apprentice. Graduate into an uncertain adult life. Enter wartime Britain or magical New York. Or step into a What If…? premise and see where your choices take it.

This post is both an introduction and a player guide. You do not need to memorize commands to play. Read the quick start, build your character, then play in ordinary prose. The reference sections are here when you want to check a record, correct an answer, or understand what a command actually does.
How to use this post
- New player? Read “Quick start” and “Character setup.” You can ignore the advanced controls until you need them.
- Want to fix something? Read “Already playing?” first. Setup answers, direct identity corrections, and confirmed record corrections are different tools.
- Looking for a command? The reference covers all 44 registered
/hp commands, the separate pre-acceptance /hp setup-set handler, and the review subcommands in the current Grimoire build.
- Examples are examples. Only submit a correction or review if it describes your own game. Never copy someone else’s confirmation token.
What is Veyra Engine: Grimoire?
Grimoire pairs AI storytelling with scripted setup and structured records. Your character, inventory, purse and spell study can have records beyond whatever appeared in the latest paragraph. Supported events can also feed school, career, relationship, secret and project records as the story develops.
The goal is continuity that gives your choices something to build on:
- A lesson begins your study; it does not instantly make you a master.
- Meeting someone does not automatically earn their trust.
- Knowing a surname does not reveal someone’s secrets.
- A family background can shape your story without silently adding a fortune to your purse.
- A wand specification does not automatically mean you own that wand.
- Canon gives the story a reference point, while AU routes open different possibilities.
Bring an ambition, a flaw, a curiosity, or a terrible decision you want to explore. You can pursue lessons, friendships, research, work and mysteries while the route’s starting premise gives you a place in the world.
A fair expectation: this is a scripted AI roleplaying scenario, not an infallible tracker or a complete wizarding-world simulator. AI can miss an event, misread intent, or write unwanted dialogue/actions. Check important records. Supported review and correction tools help with specific cases, but they are not a universal “fix everything” button.
Choose your beginning
Hogwarts and life beyond it
1. Custom Student | Hogwarts 1991
Begin in Diagon Alley before your first term. School supplies, a first wand and a place at Hogwarts are ahead of you. Your character’s personality and choices are yours to develop.
2. Custom Professor’s Apprentice | 1991
Return to Hogwarts as an eighteen-year-old graduate apprentice. Choose a mentor and specialty, navigate supervised work, and discover what school looks like when you have responsibilities on the other side of the classroom.
3. Custom Hogwarts Graduate | 1991
School is over. Begin at a Diagon Alley noticeboard with work, projects and adult life to pursue. A qualification gives you possibilities, not a guaranteed career.
Earlier eras
4. Custom Student | Hogwarts 1971
Join an earlier generation of first-years. You have your own acceptance letter and an uncertain world outside the school gates.
5. Custom Character | First Wizarding War 1970
Enter adult wizarding Britain as disappearances and suspicion spread. Pursue work, follow leads, and decide where your loyalties belong.
6. Custom Character | Wizarding America 1926
Arrive in magical New York as an adult visitor with a professional contact. Explore a city where secrecy, unfamiliar rules and unwanted attention can complicate your plans.
What If…?
7. The Black Heir
You grew up as Gardner. Now the first-year register says Black. Begin before Sorting as Sirius Black’s newly recognized child, with a public surname and plenty of unanswered questions. Parentage alone does not prove anyone innocent or reveal what happened.
8. Custom Student & Lyra Malfoy
A Hogwarts Express compartment opens into an AU where Lyra has always been the Malfoys’ daughter in place of Draco. Play your own student, with friendship, rivalry or later age-appropriate affection developing through actual encounters rather than a predetermined pairing.
9. The Serpent Unbound
Albania, February 1994. A young curse specialist and discreet Parselmouth hears a trapped serpent ask, “Did he send you?” Enter a mystery and recovery-focused AU where your choices can reach beyond the first encounter. Helping someone does not entitle your character to their loyalty or love.
Choose a playable route, not “PLACEHOLDER.” Each route has its own date, character setup and fixed starting facts. Customization does not erase the premise you selected.
Quick start: your first few minutes
- Open the scenario and choose one of the nine playable routes.
- Answer the character questions. Optional blanks use the defaults shown; you do not need to fill every box.
- For the simplest wand setup, choose
match and leave the detailed wand specification blank.
- Read the character preview carefully. Check your name, appearance, family, wand and route-specific details before accepting.
- If something is wrong, use the pre-acceptance correction commands below. Your other answers are kept.
- When the preview is right, send
accept by itself in Story mode. Then Continue to begin.
- Play normally. Use commands only when you want the extra information or controls.
A few typing rules that save frustration
- Use Story mode for the commands in this guide.
- Submit one command per action.
- Copy the command text, not the surrounding backticks or code-block markers.
- Replace example names/descriptions with your own.
- For JSON commands, keep the braces, commas, colons and straight double quotation marks.
- A token is a value generated for your current preview. Copy the exact confirmation command the game shows you. A made-up token or a token from somebody else’s game will not work.
- Plain
accept is for character setup. Ordinary story “yes” is not a replacement for a rename or event-review confirmation command.
Character setup: fix an answer before accepting
These commands are for the character preview stage, before setup is accepted. They are not a way to recreate an established character midway through a campaign.
The pattern is /hp setup-set FIELD VALUE. The field must exist in your chosen route’s original questions, except family_background, which is a separate supported background annotation. Enter the field identifiers exactly as shown. Corrections are bounded: keep them concise rather than repeatedly rewriting a whole character sheet.
See the preview again
/hp setup
Name
/hp setup-set name Rowan Ashford
Appearance
/hp setup-set appearance Tall and lean, with short dark hair, amber eyes and a small scar across the left eyebrow.
Personality
/hp setup-set personality Ambitious, observant and fiercely protective, but slow to trust.
Keep appearance and personality concise. You can give the story a strong character without writing a biography into every field.
Pronouns
/hp setup-set pronouns he/him
You can use your preferred pronouns instead.
Route-specific choices
Only use these where the route actually includes that field:
- Student 1991, Student 1971, Black Heir, and Custom Student & Lyra:
house. Choices: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, or Hat.
- Professor’s Apprentice:
profession, mentor, and former_house. Former House accepts the four Houses, not Hat.
- Graduate 1991, First Wizarding War 1970, Wizarding America 1926, and Serpent Unbound:
profession.
Examples, submitted separately and only on an applicable route:
/hp setup-set house Slytherin
/hp setup-set profession independent junior researcher
/hp setup-set mentor Filius Flitwick
/hp setup-set former_house Slytherin
These are setup preferences/background answers, not automatic qualifications, mastery, employment, or an NPC’s agreement. A student’s House preference is not the same as a recorded Sorting result. The Graduate route does not currently expose a former_house setup field. Do not use the Apprentice-only command there.
Original family
/hp setup-set family original: Ashford
Use the surname here, not the entire family history.
Other documented family forms, where your route permits them, include:
/hp setup-set family canonical: Black
/hp setup-set family sacred28: Black
/hp setup-set family undecided
A route with fixed family facts keeps those facts. Do not assume selecting a famous surname overrides its premise, gives you every associated relationship, or reveals secrets to your character.
Family background
/hp setup-set family_background The Ashfords are an old pureblood family with a dark reputation, strained alliances and a carefully guarded past.
This saves a player-supplied background annotation. The compact preview does not print every background field, so a successful return to the preview is not a complete biography display. After initialization, /hp setup exposes the saved setup record. This annotation is not a guarantee that every detail will appear in each generated scene. Describing a wealthy family does not add spendable cash, grant estate ownership, open a vault, or establish inheritance rights. Starting resources come from the route. Your family’s reputation and your character’s actual access to its assets are different things.
Choose your own wand
First:
/hp setup-set wand_mode choose
Then, as a separate action:
/hp setup-set wand_spec Vine, dragon heartstring, 14, rigid
Review the updated preview. When you are satisfied, send:
accept
Use plain accept as the recommended finishing step. /hp setup-accept is a registered compatibility/setup command, but it can repeat the preview after corrections. Once a campaign exists, it does not reset it.
For completeness, the current preview also recognizes yes, i accept, yes please, and accept setup. Keep things simple: use accept immediately after the current preview. In match mode, use plain reroll for a different proposal before accepting; reroll wand and another wand are also recognized there. These ordinary setup replies are not confirmation tokens for later corrections.
Wand creation made simple
You have two approaches:
match: ask for a suggested wand and leave the specification blank.
choose: enter four parts in this order: wood, core, numeric length, flexibility.
Example:
Vine Wood, Dragon Heartstring, 14, rigid
Letter case and extra spaces are accepted. The length field should contain a number, not the word “inches.”
Before acquiring a wand: optional preference commands
After initialization, if you have not already acquired your wand, these controls manage its intended specification:
/hp wand-choose {"wood":"Vine","core":"dragon heartstring","length":"14","flexibility":"rigid"}
/hp wand-reroll
/hp wand-accept
wand-choose saves a chosen preference.
wand-reroll generates another suggested specification and leaves it unaccepted.
wand-accept accepts the current proposal. It does not buy or materialize a wand.
- These are not an editor for an already acquired wand. Routes that start with an owned wand are normally past this stage.
- During the initial character preview, use
setup-set wand_mode, setup-set wand_spec, or plain reroll instead.
To switch back to a suggested wand during setup:
/hp setup-set wand_mode match
Available woods
Acacia, Alder, Apple, Ash, Aspen, Beech, Blackthorn, Black Walnut, Cedar, Cherry, Chestnut, Cypress, Dogwood, Ebony, Elder, Elm, English Oak, Fir, Hawthorn, Hazel, Holly, Hornbeam, Larch, Laurel, Maple, Pear, Pine, Poplar, Red Oak, Redwood, Rowan, Silver Lime, Spruce, Sycamore, Vine, Walnut, Willow, Yew, swamp mayhaw.
Listed cores
- unicorn hair
- dragon heartstring
- phoenix feather
- Thunderbird tail feather
- Wampus cat hair
- White River Monster spine
- rougarou hair
Rougarou hair requires swamp mayhaw wood.
Rare/historical core choices
- Wampus hair
- Snallygaster heartstring
- Jackalope antler
- Horned Serpent horn
- basilisk horn
These are material preferences with unverified provenance. Selecting one does not grant automatic powers, mastery or ownership of a famous historical wand. Maker associations also do not prove a shop has a material in stock.
Custom cores
Use custom: MATERIAL NAME, for example:
Vine, custom: moon moth silk, 11.5, supple
The material name must start with an English letter and contain 1–60 English letters, spaces, apostrophes or hyphens, on one line. Known material restrictions still apply. A custom label does not create extra powers, spell access or mastery.
Length
Use a number such as 11.5 or 14.
- Suggested range: 9–14 inches.
- Accepted numeric range: greater than 0 through 30.
- Unusual lengths are flagged for review.
Flexibility
Choose one:
flexible, supple, springy, firm, rigid, unyielding
Remember: your route determines whether you already own a starting wand or need to acquire one. A chosen specification is not proof of possession, extra inventory or shop availability.
Already playing? Changing your character safely
Once setup is accepted, the pre-acceptance tools are no longer a general character editor. Use only the supported corrections below, and distinguish a display correction from a change to the world.
Rename your displayed character name
Start with:
/hp rename Rowan Ashford
This produces a preview. It does not immediately rename your character.
Read that preview, then copy its exact command:
/hp rename-confirm TOKEN
To cancel instead, copy the cancellation command shown:
/hp rename-cancel TOKEN
TOKEN is a placeholder in this guide. Use the actual token shown in your own current preview.
Confirm before another accepted turn. An intervening accepted turn makes the preview stale; request a fresh rename preview instead of reusing an old token.
The rename keeps the same character and progress. It does not:
- Change your family or legal identity.
- Rewrite old story paragraphs.
- Tell NPCs your new name.
- Reset relationships, money or inventory.
If you want a character to adopt an alias publicly, tell people a new name, or go through an in-world identity change, that is story action rather than the same thing as correcting a display label.
Correct appearance
/hp correct {"field":"appearance","value":"Tall and lean, with short dark hair and amber eyes."}
Correct personality
/hp correct {"field":"personality","value":"Ambitious, observant and fiercely protective, but slow to trust."}
These corrections apply directly, unlike a rename preview. Each value has a 500-character limit, and the identity record also has a shared size limit. Shorter, focused descriptions are safer than pasting an entire character sheet.
They do not change your established family or replace a wand you already own. There is no promise that every detail of a character’s past can be freely rewritten through this correction system.
Other direct identity corrections
/hp correct accepts exactly these field names: displayName, pronouns, appearance, personality, and customNote.
Examples:
/hp correct {"field":"pronouns","value":"they/them"}
/hp correct {"field":"customNote","value":"Prefers quiet research to public attention."}
/hp correct {"field":"displayName","value":"Rowan Ashford"}
These save directly without a second confirmation. For names, the friendlier /hp rename workflow is recommended because it shows a preview first. customNote is an identity note, not a way to grant skills, wealth, family history records, property, or relationships.
Each correction value must be a nonempty string of at most 500 characters. The combined identity record has a 1,000-character serialized budget, including field names and bookkeeping, so five 500-character entries will not fit. A shorter name or focused description helps.
Correct a recorded purse balance or ordinary item count
These are advanced record-correction tools, not purchases, income, gifts, or proof that an event occurred. They set an absolute recorded value; they do not add the number to the previous total. Use them for a known incorrect record.
Purse example:
/hp record-correct {"kind":"purse","currency":"knut","value":9860}
That proposes setting an already-existing Knut purse balance to 9,860 Knuts total, equivalent to 20 Galleons. It does not add 20 Galleons. British currency is stored in Knuts: 29 Knuts = 1 Sickle; 17 Sickles = 1 Galleon; 493 Knuts = 1 Galleon.
For an existing Dragot purse:
/hp record-correct {"kind":"purse","currency":"dragot","value":10}
No exchange rate is implied. You cannot use this to create a currency balance your purse does not already have. Values must be whole numbers from 0 through 1,000,000. Bank balances are outside this tool.
Item-count template:
/hp record-correct {"kind":"item","item":"YOUR_EXISTING_ITEM_ID","container":"player:bag","value":2}
Replace YOUR_EXISTING_ITEM_ID with the actual ID from your records and use the actual recorded player container. This proposes two total in that container, not two more. Values must be whole numbers from 0 through 10,000.
The item must already exist, be exclusively player-owned and held in player containers, and be eligible for correction. Wands, assets, items involved in an active quote, and mixed/other-owner possessions are not supported. This does not create a new item or change ownership.
For either preview, read it and copy its exact confirmation or cancellation command:
/hp record-confirm PREVIEW_TOKEN
/hp record-cancel PREVIEW_TOKEN
The current preview supplies the real token. Any intervening accepted turn invalidates it. A new correction proposal replaces the pending proposal, so finish or cancel one before starting another. Name previews use rename-confirm/rename-cancel, not these record commands.
These corrections do not edit bank accounts, price quotes, relationships, route/canon facts or family access. They are recorded as player-authorized corrections, not narrative evidence. History reconciliation still needs to be valid; a correction is not a workaround for a frozen save.
Complete information-command reference
These are optional queries. They show recorded information rather than making events happen, granting abilities or advancing story time. Missing/empty records do not prove that the corresponding event never appeared in the prose. Player-facing views are designed to avoid revealing hidden NPC facts.
Each command below is a complete copyable example. Enter it alone in Story mode.
Start here
/hp help | Lists the registered optional commands and their usage. The separate pre-setup correction handler is explained earlier in this guide.
/hp status | A public overview: character, role, location, purse, known conditions and obligations.
/hp identity | The editable identity record, including baseline appearance.
/hp setup | Initial identity/setup information and intended wand. During onboarding, use it to revisit setup; after initialization, it can expose saved setup answers.
/hp inventory | Recorded items and readable purse balances.
/hp wand | Intended specification plus player-held or player-owned wand records. A proposal is not possession.
/hp changes | A readable summary of the latest significant retained public changes. It is not a full lifetime history or a claim every event was tracked.
School, time and learning
/hp clock | Established calendar information, elapsed time and current age where recorded. Unknown dates stay unknown.
/hp calendar | Known explicit school schedules and elective/club memberships.
/hp study | School progression, assignments, grades and recorded House information. It may say “Not currently enrolled” when no applicable school record exists.
/hp school | Known school records, including retained records after an actual tracked graduation.
/hp graduation | The recorded school-to-graduate decision, or why no transition is recorded. This does not graduate you. Starting as a graduate is different from completing a tracked school campaign.
/hp spells | Recorded magical study and demonstrated practice. Introductory study is not mastery.
Work, research and adult life
/hp work | Recorded qualifications, contracts and work outcomes.
/hp profession | Known professional cases and net recorded shop cashflow, not secret case details.
/hp opportunities | Causally eligible opportunities supported by player-known facts; not every possible job in the world.
/hp projects | Known career and research projects.
/hp inventions | Known invention development and testing records. This does not invent or master a spell for you.
/hp premises | Known home/business occupancy, operations and expenses. Viewing a property does not grant access or ownership.
/hp commitments | Known promises and obligations.
/hp conditions | Known lasting-condition evidence, care and functional limitations.
People, secrets and consequences
/hp relationships | Known relationship evidence.
/hp bonds | Known directional bond changes. Your feelings toward someone and their feelings toward you are not automatically identical.
/hp social | Last-known secrets, suspicions, covers, factions and correspondence. No omniscient offscreen updates.
/hp threads | Known whereabouts, learned claims and unresolved story threads.
/hp plots | Known causal opportunities, without revealing private/future plot facts.
/hp conduct | Recorded choices and tentative moral direction, not a predetermined alignment based on wand or family.
/hp family | Known family links and inheritance claims. A claim is not ownership.
/hp cases | Known investigations/cases and sanctions, not everyone's hidden evidence.
/hp families | An out-of-character ancestry-options reference and full Sacred Twenty-Eight roster. It does not give your character that knowledge, wealth or authority. For a 1926 game, the directory's early-1930s classification is not contemporary character knowledge.
The roster available through /hp families is: Abbott, Avery, Black, Bulstrode, Burke, Carrow, Crouch, Fawley, Flint, Gaunt, Greengrass, Lestrange, Longbottom, Macmillan, Malfoy, Nott, Ollivander, Parkinson, Prewett, Rosier, Rowle, Selwyn, Shacklebolt, Shafiq, Slughorn, Travers, Weasley and Yaxley. A listed surname cannot be passed off as an unrelated original family in the setup validator.
Troubleshooting
/hp journal | Recent retained revision identifiers and event counts. This is technical bookkeeping, not a story recap.
/hp check | Diagnostic codes, storage usage and retained-revision information. It reports; it does not repair or reset the adventure. Repeated diagnostic entries are not necessarily separate lost events.
How features connect to play
Use ordinary actions to pursue the world, then use the relevant query to inspect records. For example:
- Study: “I ask the professor to demonstrate the wand movement, then practise under supervision.” Check
/hp spells and /hp study for recorded progress.
- Work: “I read the notice carefully and ask what qualifications the employer requires.” Check
/hp opportunities and /hp work.
- Relationships: “I keep the promise I made and return the borrowed notes.” Check
/hp commitments, /hp relationships or /hp bonds for supported updates.
- Research: “I record the experiment's result and repeat it under the same conditions.” Check
/hp projects and /hp inventions.
- Property: “I ask the owner what permission and payment are required to use the workshop.” Check
/hp premises. Merely narrating ownership does not establish title.
These are illustrative story inputs, not guaranteed event triggers. Supported records depend on what actually becomes established and what the engine successfully receives. The queries are useful checks, not buttons for awarding outcomes.
Optional event review: when an event happened but was missed
Ordinary prose is the main way to play. You do not need to file a review after every scene.
Use review only when you need its supported recovery options. Read what it proposes and confirm only events that actually happened. It is not a way to award yourself purchases or lessons that never occurred.
/hp review
Opens the optional review flow.
/hp review purchase
Starts guided review for a missing first acquisition of an ordinary item. Follow the prompts; do not treat it as a bank editor, ownership editor or universal shopping command.
/hp review lesson
Starts guided review for introductory study of Lumos, Alohomora or Wingardium Leviosa. This is not instant mastery and does not cover every spell or every missed lesson.
Worked purchase example
Suppose you actually bought one ordinary notebook from a bookseller for 73 Knuts, and it was your first acquisition of that item but the engine missed it. Check /hp inventory first. If it is genuinely missing, the guided sequence is:
/hp review purchase
Answer each successive prompt separately:
/hp review answer notebook
/hp review answer bookseller
/hp review answer 1
/hp review answer 73 knuts
/hp review answer I completed the purchase of one notebook from the bookseller for 73 Knuts in the preceding scene.
Use your actual item, seller, quantity, total price and source, not this fictional example. The helper accepts quantities from 1–100; item/seller names should be short plain names, not invented IDs or paragraphs. A price can be 73 knuts, 2 sickles 15 knuts, 1 galleon, or 3 dragots. Currency must suit the actual purchase and available purse funds. Special objects such as wands, estates, vaults, deeds or permissions need their dedicated in-world acquisition systems, not this helper.
Worked lesson example
If introductory Lumos study really happened and is missing:
/hp review lesson
/hp review answer Lumos
/hp review answer The professor introduced Lumos and explained its wand movement during our completed lesson.
Only Lumos, Alohomora and Wingardium Leviosa introductory study are supported by this recovery helper. It does not grant successful casting or mastery. Again, use the actual completed lesson and source.
Inspect, edit, confirm or discard
/hp review | Inspect the current batch and readiness.
/hp review edit 1 | Re-enter the first pending entry through its guided prompts. Use the actual displayed entry number, 1–4.
/hp review answer YOUR ANSWER | Answer the current guided question. Keep each answer to 1–240 characters.
/hp review confirm TOKEN | Apply the ready entries from the exact current preview.
/hp review clear | Discard the pending review and guided entry; it does not undo previously confirmed gameplay changes.
There can be at most four pending entries. Only ready entries apply when confirmed; incomplete ones stay pending. A confirmed purchase debits the purse and adds the item to the bag. A confirmed lesson records introductory study only. Inspect the batch rather than assuming everything in it is ready.
Use the exact token shown. An intervening accepted turn expires the preview. Ordinary story “yes” does not confirm it. Do not reuse someone else's token or invent one.
“Nothing pending” does not mean all events were tracked: empty or absent model events cannot always be detected automatically. Do not review an event already recorded under a different item name. This is narrow recovery, not a universal event editor.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to use commands all the time?
No. Build your character, accept the preview and play in ordinary prose. Commands are optional controls for checking records, correcting supported fields and reviewing specific missed events.
Why did my long family description get rejected?
Separate the short family selection from its history. For an original family, use original: Ashford in the family field and put the background in family_background. Route-fixed facts still apply.
Can I start wealthy by writing “ancient, wealthy pureblood family”?
That can be background flavor, but it does not create money or asset access. Starting cash is set by the route. Described family wealth, personal spending money, vault access, inheritance and estate ownership are separate things.
Can I change my family after accepting setup?
The current documented correction tools do not support a post-setup family replacement. A name correction or a note is not a substitute for changing lineage, inheritance or ownership records. Check the family preview before accepting.
Can I replace my owned wand with a different specification?
Not through the appearance/personality correction commands or the pre-setup wand answer. A specification and an owned item are different records. Check your wand during setup; acquiring or replacing a wand later belongs to the story and supported game systems.
Does “rare core” mean “more powerful”?
No automatic powers, mastery or special ownership come from selecting a rare or custom material. Choose it for your character’s concept, not as a hidden power-level upgrade.
Does a new scenario update automatically fix my older adventure?
Do not assume so. An updated scenario page is not proof that an existing adventure has received the latest scripts, migrated its state, or had an old problem repaired.
If a command is unrecognized or setup loops, report:
- Your route.
- The exact command or answer you entered.
- The exact response or a screenshot.
- Whether this is a new adventure or an existing save.
Keep your save. Do not reset it based only on a generic error message.
A rename says it needs the user Input path, even though I used Story. Did I type it wrong?
Not necessarily. A history-matching problem can produce a misleading correction error. Repeating the rename is not a verified repair, and there is no universal recovery command to recommend here. Preserve the adventure and report the exact input and response rather than deleting progress.
Can I undo a confirmed correction?
Corrections are journaled, and the engine's confirmation messages identify Undo as the route back to the previous value. However, safe reconciliation depends on retained history and a recognized story sequence. Do not treat Undo, Retry or editing old prose as a guaranteed repair for a history-mismatch error. Preserve the save and report the exact message if tracking freezes; do not repeatedly edit or reset it to force the command through.
Are commands case-sensitive?
Use the lowercase command and field spellings in this guide. Wand material normalization and some setup choice matching are more forgiving; that does not mean every command accepts arbitrary capitalization. Story mode avoids dialogue wrappers. Tokens must match the current preview exactly.
Is there a command for unrestricted editing, changing routes, or exporting a save?
Not in this player command set. Do not invent /hp export, /hp reset, a wealth-grant command, or a general family/House editor. The internal event system is not a player-command menu. This guide documents supported user controls rather than hidden event packets or developer shortcuts.
Does the engine remember everything perfectly?
No. Important supported records can be tracked, but AI output can be malformed or an event can be missed. Check significant purchases, inventory changes and learning records. Review recovery is limited to its supported cases.
Will it replay every book scene or preserve every older story card?
No. Canon coverage is selective. The rebuilt reference set does not retain every older future-event card. Play with canon as a reference and the selected route as your starting premise, not as a promise that every event will be reproduced exactly.
Ready to begin?
A first wand in Diagon Alley. A mentor waiting at Hogwarts. A noticeboard full of possibilities. A wartime secret. A voice in the Albanian woods.
Nine beginnings. Your character. A wizarding life to make your own.
