Boy was it quiet in the woods during the shot with the OCL Hydrogen L.

She was really cautious coming in, but she was clearly a seasoned doe. She’s the biggest I’ve ever taken. Short of any blood trail, the 6arc did its job. Having a sample size of 5 with the 6.5 Grendel and only one with the Arc, so far I’m more impressed with the damage and blood trails of the Grendel.

I need more samples with the arc. Maybe try the 107tmk next?

Pretty cool Hornady is still pushing the offerings for 6 arc in the sbr suppressed line of ammo. Box says it’s made for 14.5 inch barrels. Does anyone have a shorter than that barrel? Has anyone/will anyone shot/shoot this ammo yet? Is the ELD Match the ruggt projectile for this load?

Building my parts list for my upper. Trying to decide if the Proof Research PXT barrel is actually worth it or if I save some money and get a different one. I’d like to use this rifle in gas gun prs matches and some hunting when able.

CCI 450 vs Federal 205MAR

Working out of town and there is a reloading shop nearby with decent priced primers compared to other places near home. I am looking to pick up a couple thousand before heading home. Will finishing putting my 6ARC together this weekend so I haven’t have the chance to load for it and shoot it yet.

Which primers pair best with LVR and Staball Match?

More specifically for a shorter barrel. Looking at getting a 12.5, boss offered me his 2-10 TMR for my pr2 3.6-18.

Looking to hear from people who have shot the barrels how they like them. Doing research there is alot of splits on Faxon, but it seems a lot of people not recommending them just say they don’t recommend them, not seeing any actual shooting experience on them when I reach out to some.

I have a friend who was going to do a 20” build using their X match barrel. But he is going another route, and is offering to me as an early Christmas gift. But wanting to see if I’m better off selling it or running it.

Need help building 6 ARC build! Reading through this sub has confused me even more lol. I am looking to use the PSA ICAR so that I can use the Pmags. I have no idea of what barrel and bolt/BCG combo to use for this. I am using it as a SPR/DMR role and not wanting any carbon fiber barrel. Not looking to spend out the ass but don't mind spending to get the mid tier parts. Don't know if I need to wait for PSA E4 bolt and barrel or are there good options out there now. Please give suggestions.

So I’m in the look for hunting ammo and hornady blacks are what shoot the best, anyone have any experience with them on whitetail? And also advice is helpful too

Using a PSA ICAR receiver and a Shaw barrel, the Craddock Precision bolts simply don't work. But I can't figure out which is the problem. I was hoping anyone who has experience with using the Craddock Precision bolt with PSA's ICAR receiver OR a Shaw barrel (in a non-ICAR receiver) could tell me if they've had any issues with cycling, chambering, etc. After using the Rexus, JP Enterprise, and Craddock bolts, only the Craddock is giving me issues. Thus, I am kind of shocked by the previous posts saying "Craddock HD Arc Bolt Good to Go," and I'd love to hear anyone else's feedback. Pertinent negatives: Ruled out gas system issues, feed ramp transition issues, bolt carrier issues etc. It's definitely a bolt match issue with either the ICAR receiver or the Shaw barrel.

I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS LOAD TO ANYONE. THIS IS WAY IVER RECOMMENDED PRESSURE.

A few buddy’s and myself have been doing a lot of testing trying to optimize our 6 arcs to run high pressure ammo and I wholeheartedly believe the surefire OBC is a necessity for high pressure ammo.

The pic above is 32.2gr of lever with a 90 TacTx from a 14.5 DDF and the surefire OBC with a CAT VB6 suppressor. Anyone who has run high-pressure ammo knows your brass gets absolutely mangled. The OBC delays the unlocking long enough to allow pressure to drop before extraction. Also, based on the counterweight design in the carrier, it slows the carrier down during unlocking which reduces stress on the lugs.

We also tested the LMT enhanced carrier with an A5H4 buffer and while it helped, it performed quite a bit worse than the OBC.

The OBC also reduces recoil to a similar feel of 556 with 77gr.

I’m right around 600 rounds with the OBC and bolt gun pressure ammo and have had zero failures. I personally am not running the load above but I am running Berger 105s at 2700 out of an 18in PXT suppressed. Time will tell if it extends bolt life but if you want reduced recoil or to reload high pressure ammo, the surefire OBC is a definitely the way to go.

Hey just wanted to get some tips for my first build. Went for a big build for 600 - 1000 yard shooting. Went with a 20" Grendel Hunter upper with a SS barrel. Thing is heavy as hell, as expected. Seeing a lot of the more perpendicular grips, is it worth swapping? I have other uses for the standard magpul grip. Also not 100% sure this scope (3-18x50 Trijicon) will be the final scope on it. Also a really cheap Stacy's Mom supressor will be upgraded as well. Excited to get it sighted in, have never shot 6mm ARC.

Super pumped for this. I plan on pairing it with the ICAR receiver set from PSA. Very excited to see how it performs! Thank you DWM!!!

Finally got this thing put together. Had been waiting for a Proof 14.5" PXT barrel and managed to get it sent off to u/unclemoak for the MRP conversion.

Dunno when I'll get to take it out, but she sure is nice to look at.

Anyway, the 108s were the eld-m bullet and the 85s are a sierra OTM

The 85s are a super soft shooter, I think in a bolt gun they’d be amazing.

Velocities were on the lower side, about 100-120 fps less than the factory loads out of the same barrel.

I give him all my factory brass and he runs these at just over $1 a round.

I’m gonna take his 108s to the 1000yd range to see how they do, or if the Hornady 105/108s are better for distance.

Lasering some barrels today. Then some final quality checks before they go out the door.

Been looking at building a 6arc for awhile now but was waiting for it to get more ironed out first and now have started to piece together different builds.

My question is which receiver would be the best to go with? Do I go with a standard ar15 set like BCM upper/aero lower that I originally was planning or is the ICAR better (would probably go with PSA)? Or is there something else that is rec?

I can see the ICAR getting improvements with time but my main annoyance is the magazines currently only come in 1 size and I was planning on building a gun for PRS so the mag would be a hindrance on some stages.
