Purchasing US Worth getting a sony bravia x90L ?

• Upvotes

Basically, is it still worth getting a sony bravia x90L versus something like a TCL qm6k? Or is the technology simply outdated at this point. I may be able to get one used for $300 (65 inch).

Purchasing Asia/ME Samsung S90H or LG C6 65 inches?

• Upvotes

I'm so torn between the two and can't seem to make a decision. I looked at the in-store demos for both and they look amazing.

In the bright store lighting, there were defintely raised black levels and some purple haze in black scenes in the S90H matte panel. The G6 had great blacks, no haze but it does reflect anything bright directly.

I read online that if you can control the lighting in your room, go for the G6 since it has the better picture quality. I can mostly control the lighting in my room with curtains but there is a huge light source above my head which I sometimes like to keep on while watching. The S90H would be a good choice in this case but I can't get that purple haze out of my head.

80% of the time I'm gaming on my PS5 at night in a completely dark room. Netflix and YT at night or the afternoons at other times. What would you go for? Would appreciate if anyone can share personal experiences!

Purchasing Other Replacing Sony X95H (FALD) with a TCL 65RM7L Micro RGB - is it actually an upgrade?

I've had my Sony X95H for 5 years now and bar a (now useless) OS it's been largely faultless and with a decent image quality.

I'm considering upgrading to make the most of my Xbox Series X VRR features mainly, though I'm pleased with it for general streaming / 4k blu ray viewing.

So I guess I'm asking is the newer micro RGB tech in the TCL going to be a big improvement over the older Sony FALD tech, is the image processing comparable and is the VRR feature even worthwhile?

Purchasing US Is the 77-inch Samsung S90H OLED worth it?

Looking for a TV mainly for watching movies and playing PS5.
I’m considering the 77-inch Samsung S90H OLED (2026). Is it worth buying, or are there better options around the same price?
Would love to hear your recommendations.

Purchasing US Is the Xiaomi S Pro Mini LED 2026 worth it?

Hey everyone, I've been using a 55-inch Samsung AU8000 since 2023 and am planning to upgrade to a 65-inch setup.

I'm considering the Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED (2026 model) given its strong specs for the price.

Most of my daily viewing is SDR content, primarily high-bitrate 1080p files. For those who own this model, how does Xiaomi’s processing handle clean 1080p sources on a 65-inch screen? Is the upscaling crisp, or do you notice shadow noise and gradient banding in dark scenes?

Also, how is the Google TV interface? Lastly, with its Mini LED dimming zones and high brightness, how close does the real-world contrast get to an OLED in a dark room?

Purchasing OLED Want to buy a new TV, please help!

Hi I’m currently using a Samsung from 2019 with a firestick from 2020, and it’s held me down but I just got a new job and wanted to treat myself to a present,

so I was thinking of getting an LG C series OLED tv, is that still the best TV on the market? If so which model should I get? Also if I am buying the TV is the native steaming the best or should I get an Apple TV?

I don’t really have a budget, and am overwhelmed by options so would love some insight!!

Purchasing OLED Samsung S90H or LG C6 55-inch?

I checked out 55-inch OLED TVs today and got similar offers for both the LG C6 and Samsung S90H at around ₹1.1 lakh, plus a card discount.

From what I understand, the 55-inch Samsung S90H uses a QD-OLED panel, but it doesn't support Dolby Vision.

Samsung S90H Pixel View from my camera
LG C6 Pixel View from my camera

The LG C6 seems to have some practical advantages, such as a metal frame that feels more premium and the Magic Remote, which looks more convenient to use.

My primary use is OTT streaming and movies. I don't play games, so gaming features aren't important to me.

At roughly the same price, which TV would you choose and why?

  • Is Samsung's QD-OLED picture quality worth giving up Dolby Vision?
  • Does Dolby Vision make a noticeable difference when watching movies on Netflix and other OTT platforms?
  • Does the LG C6 offer a better overall user experience with its Magic Remote and build quality?
  • Which TV would you trust more for long-term ownership, considering panel longevity and burn-in risk?

I'd appreciate feedback from people who have used either TV, especially for watching HDR movies and TV shows. I want to make an informed decision and avoid buyer's remorse.

Purchasing Asia/ME Want buy a TV Hella confused somehow

So I went to a showroom where they first showed us the LG qned 75 inches and that's where I decided to buy a 75 inch TV then we saw the oled which absolutely blew my mind. I'm planning to pair it all with my LG 95tr home theatre setup.

So the current comparison goes like this

LG 75inch 750NED85BXA vs Sony Bravia 3 ii vs LG 75 inch c6 2026

The qned and Bravia 3 ii are similar in price whereas the oled tax for the c6 goes upto a 1000 usd more will it be worth it? Or I should just get something between the qned and Bravia 3 ii

Thank you for ur guidance!

Purchasing US QM8L 85” or LG C6H 77”

Getting an upgrade from a 2016 Hisense . Need advice on which one to purchase. Room has a window but it is indirect sunlight and will mostly be used for movies, gaming and occasional sports. Again, I’ve had a 2016 4k Hisense for a decade. Now I’m stuck between these 2. Sacrifice picture for size . Or sacrifice size for picture. My viewing distance is about 10 feet away.

Purchasing US Pretty much sold on 85” TCL QM7K/L any others to keep an eye on?

Looking to be at $1400 pre tax.

Main uses: watching hockey, movies, PS5 gaming.

I might be interested in a 98” as well, but it would be a bit much on my entertainment center as I won’t be wall mounting. I currently have a 100” projector screen as my main setup, so obviously looking to be in a comparable size range.

Purchasing US 43" Bedroom TV for less than $500?

Need to replace our bedroom TV. As much as I would love to match our two main TV's and grab another LG OLED C, the wife says no to a thousand dollar bedroom TV. Any options less than $500 where I won't be completely disappointed finishing a show in bed from my 65" OLED?

Purchasing OLED S90F vs S90H vs C6H

Going in circles and need some advice. TV will be mostly for media obviously, but also will use it for PC game streaming (the main reason for upgrading). My desk has a PG32UCDP (matte WOLED) so I was thinking to go QDOLED for the tv. However it seems the only QD is the S90F but it’s discontinued.

I know a good bit about OLED monitors, but not TVs. Is it worth hunting down a S90F, or should I just go with a WOLED? Are all of these glossy? I can tolerate the matte on my monitor but after seeing glossy in person, I think I’d prefer it. We generally keep the shades down in the living room for both privacy but also lowering the amount of ambient heat in the spring/summer. Also looking for advice on whether I should just save a bit more to go for the G6/samsung/sony equivalent? TV would be 65”.

Purchasing US Dont like my Sony Bravia 3 - seems to have issues with input lag. Recommendations for good tv around 65" for gaming and movies?

Ive had my sony bravia 3 for around 2 years now. Ive never liked the UI, the controller has been buggy since day one, but the picture quality is fine.

About 6 months ago i started playing a very low intensity game on my PC that was connected to my TV. worked perfectly fine for like a month.

Then all of a sudden there was an ever so slight delay from when i moved my mouse to when it registered on the tv.

Became unplayable and continues to do that today.

Then yesterday after i updated my xbox that exact same issue presented itself after working fine for years.

Confirmed it the tv by plugging my xbox into my pc monitor and there was no lag/delay

Updated my TV and power cycled it and there was no change.

Ive also made sure the tv setting is on the game mode and it changes nothing.

At this point since i never really loved the tv im just gonna buy a new one. Any recommendations?

Id like to be able to close apps on the tv without restarting it so thats a big plus. And would like one with an easy to use interface. Some settings on this tv are so buried and hard to find.

Plan to game and watch movies on it with my surround sound system. Type doesnt really matter i just want it to work

Tech Support Need Help with Image Issues

I bought a LG 75” QNED84BUA today and trying to play Resident evil 9. I am running into a major issue where every time I move the camera there are some “blue trails” that follow some objects when they move. More specifically, if I look around, some objects will leave blue trails in their wake that are close behind then sync up when I stop moving. Any advice on this?

Purchasing US Surebright Warranty

Not sure if this is the best subreddit for this question, but thinking about purchasing a TV through greentoe and wondering if folks have experience with the extended warranty you can purchase there through Surebright? Specifically if you ever needed to file a claim and how that process went etc?

Purchasing EUROPE I need buying advice

I’ve been reading through and watching plenty of TV reviews for about a week.
I think MiniLED TV’s could be a good option for my use case (local dimming, picture quality). Unfortunately I’m scared of an OLED burning in on me and I want this tv to last 5+ years. My use case is mostly watching movies, tv shows and playing some story (Spider-Man, Last of Us, etc.) and driving/racing (Forza Horizon 6 for example) style games. I have a PS5 and an Xbox Series S. My budget is around 1000€. I don’t really watch sports.

At first I wanted to buy the Hisense U7S Pro 65” because of the price-performance ratio, but I feel like TCL televisions have better longevity overall (correct me if I’m mistaken).

Then I found the TCL C7K 65” which is out of stock everywhere. It would probably be the perfect television for me considering the budget but unfortunately I can’t buy it anymore.

And of course the 2026 model of the TCL C7 line is the C7L.
I would absolutely buy this tv however I’ve heard that it has terrible motion because of pixel responsiveness (is that right?). I’m definitely not a competitive gamer but I want to enjoy the games I play without having to think about the fact that I bought the wrong tv. What’s your opinion about this? Currently this tv is on sale for 1150€ (-20%).

On the other hand I could buy the LG B5 65” for 850€ but then again I’m afraid of burning in and I want this tv to last (the tv is near a window and as I know it’s bad for the LED’s in the tv but I’m not sure). Also I don’t like the webOS and the whole LG scene right now. Not only that but that tv probably has terrible sound comparing it to the TCL or even the Hisense.

Also do I need 65”? The tv would be 2,5m away from me but in the near future I may move so the tv could be further away from me.

I can wait for a big sale or something. Considering the things I mentioned, what television would be the best for me? Is the TCL C7L a good tv for my use case? When would be the best time to buy that tv for the lowest price possible? Do you have other recommendations? Please let me know.

Purchasing EUROPE Advice for parents’ new TV

My parents are moving into a new house soon. My mom has wanted a new TV for a very long time, and she’s letting me make the choice for her. I don’t actually know that much about TV’s, so here I am asking for advice. I have a Sony KD55-AF9, which I bought broken (chip locked) and had repaired. The screen seems amazing to me, but I’ve never had anything 4K / OLED before this. This also shows that I don’t actually know if it’s a good screen, relative to newer models.

The budget would be around €1000. I think the size limit will be around 55 inches, although I’m not sure. I also advised them to buy a 5.1 / 7.1 audio setup, although that will come later.

Purchasing US TV Recommendation For Bright Room

My living room has two large windows directly opposite of where the tv goes causing essentially full reflection on the screen. I currently have a 2021 Sony X85J 4K LED and it does not fair well in this setup.

I do not have any options for other placement locations and my wife is insistent that I cannot replace the window treatments to fix the situation. So what would be the best Tv to get to eliminate the glare. I mostly use this for gaming so I would be lying if I GTA VI was not a massive motivating factor for replacement.

Purchasing EUROPE New TV UK - TCL 98 C7K v. 98 C7L v. 98 C8L v. 83 LG C6 v. 83 Samsung S90H

Hi all, I’ve been researching for way too long and still struggling to make a decision between the following:

- TCL 98 C7K
- TCL 98 C7L
- TCL 98 C8L
- LG 83 C6
- Samsung 83 S90H

Does anyone with real world experience have any advice?

The TV is for the living room, with about 4m between the back of the sofa (opposite TV) and the TV.

I love the idea of the grand size of the TCLs, but slightly worried about it overpowering the space, and mainly, about performance watching the football (soccer) and F1 / light gaming on the PS5.

The LG - I am a little put off by the recent reports of TVs spying.

The Samsung - a little put off by forums / bots on Reddit advising to stay away from Samsung TVs generally.

Re room layout, light comes in from two sides (left and right of the TV) - not directly perpendicular to the TV, but the room gets good light.

Thank you so much!
