UPDATE: Thank you all so much for your questions today! This was a lot of fun, and I really appreciated the thoughtful questions and the chance to have an honest conversation.
I believe candidates should meet people where they are and be willing to answer the hard questions. At the end of the day, your Representative is accountable to you. I’m grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from this community.
If I didn’t get to your question, please email our team at [info@jenkinsforfl.com](mailto:info@jenkinsforfl.com). You can also visit jenkinsforfl.com to learn more about my campaign and how to get involved.
Also, please make a plan to VOTE! If you have a mail ballot, fill it out and send it in or drop it off ASAP. Early voting starts in Brevard on Monday, October 19th, and ends on Saturday, October 31st (more info here), and Election Day is on Tuesday, November 3rd.
Grateful to everyone who took the time to participate. Thanks for having me!

Hey, r/321! I’m Jennifer Jenkins, and I’m here for an AMA!
I’m running for Congress in Florida’s 8th District, which includes all of Brevard County, and I want to hear from you directly.
A little about me: I’m a mom, an educator, and a former Brevard County School Board member. I’ve spent a lot of time listening to families in our community, and I know that decisions made in Washington don’t just stay in Washington. They show up in our classrooms, our healthcare bills, our grocery stores, and our homes.
And listen, you don’t have to consider yourself political to care about any of that. You don’t need to follow every headline or know the ins and outs of Congress. If you’ve ever looked at a bill and wondered how is this getting so expensive? or asked yourself whether anyone in government is paying attention to what you and your family here are dealing with, you’re already part of the conversation.
I’ll be answering your questions starting at 12:30 PM ET, in a few blocks throughout the day between door-knocking and school pickup (mom/candidate life doesn’t stop for an AMA!). Ask me about why I’m running, what I want to get done in Congress, where I stand on the issues, or anything else you’ve been curious about.
I’m happy to talk policy, answer tough questions, and hear what’s on your mind.
Drop your questions in the comments. AMA!

Okay, this is probably a dumb question...but I95 was just paved and now I'm seeing the northbound left lane from Palm Bay Rd up towards Viera getting another layer on top of what was already paved? Why is that? I've also seen a ton of grooves marked into the highway sporadically. Were those put there for a reason?
Looking for a chocolate lab pup to join our family of 5. Recently lost our family dog and are ready to bring a new friend into our home. Fenced backyard.

Looking at getting a gravel bike to commute to work some days. I live in Palm bay off Babcock about half a mile south of the Babcock dollar general.
It seems like we have the worst roads for this idea and I work in Melbourne just south of 192 off of Babcock. Anyone have any experience with a ride like this around the same area?

I have a 1956 orlando clipper aluminum boat. Can anyone recommend a reputable shop that can replace my wood transom with a full aluminum transom.

Hi, I recently moved to the area and would like to purchase my first boat, mainly for fishing/pleasure in the Indian river around Melbourne. I live in an apartment so I can’t keep one there nor do I really want to trailer it.
Therefore I think I am looking for dry storage / marina type suggestions and the ballpark cost to store a 20-23 ft boat, thank you.

I was wondering if there is a place that could benefit from VR headsets and e-scooters thinking teens and kids could benefit from them. I have 2 of each and a Nintendo switch, two TVs and some kids clothing.

Hey everyone, this maybe be a long shot buuuuut
I just wondered if there was a set route that the driver's license test would take for someone that lives in Cocoa?
I have Super bad anxiety and it would be really helpful to be able to practice the exact roads.
Edit: Cocoa, Not Cocoa Beach

I know we're in Florida, but we still get some pretty cold mornings during the winter. Something I learned during a Brevard County Public Schools Partners in Education (PIE) meeting last year was that there are kids right here in our community going to school without jackets or warm clothing because their families simply can't afford them.
It's one of those needs I honestly hadn't given much thought to before, especially living in Florida.
My wife and I own Tropic Moving here in Melbourne. We adopted both of our kids through foster care, and that experience really opened our eyes to some of the challenges children face right here in our own backyard.
Earlier this year, we organized a care tote drive for children entering foster care, and we're now following that up with a winter clothing drive we're calling Make Life Warmer.
We're collecting new or gently used jackets, hoodies, and beanies for local students from elementary through high school.
We've also been back in contact with the PIE program to help understand how we can best get these donations to the schools and students who need them.
We've had a few local businesses step up to serve as donation locations:
If you've got jackets your kids have outgrown or hoodies sitting in the closet that aren't being used, we'd love to put them to good use.
I'd also appreciate hearing from anyone who works in our local schools or knows of students or programs that could benefit.
We're hoping to collect as much as we can before the colder mornings start rolling in. Even if you can't donate, helping spread the word would be appreciated.
Thanks, everyone!

Whats up with the dozen cops with lights on headed northbound on 95? None of them from around here either, all from Boca Raton and Riviera Beach.

This guy drives like a complete and utter bag of dicks. He makes BMW drivers look like angels of the roadways. Speeding, swerving in and out of traffic cutting people off to the point that they need to jam on their brakes, and running red lights. Saw him at nearly 100mph on US-1/King St. yesterday and blow the light turning left onto King. Dude is going to kill someone eventually. If anyone knows this clown, tell him to drive like an asshole in more secluded parts of the County so that the only person he kills is himself.
and if the driver/owner is actually reading this, you ain't shit. I was behind you months ago with your wrecked ride on the back of a flat-bed. I'm assuming you spent a few bucks on a wrecked McLaren and a few more bucks fixing it up, but that don't make you hot shit - it makes you a poser. Have the day you deserve.

Hey, r/321! I’ll be doing an AMA here tomorrow, and I’d love to hear from you.
I’m Jennifer Jenkins, and I’m running for Congress in Florida’s 8th District, which includes all of Brevard County. Before launching this campaign, I served on the Brevard School Board, fighting for students, educators, and families in our community.
Even if you don’t consider yourself political, government and policy affect your everyday life: what you pay for homeowners insurance, whether you can afford healthcare, the quality of your kids’ schools, and the cost of groceries. You don’t have to follow every headline or know how Congress works to have questions or to deserve answers.
Tomorrow (10/15/26) at 12:30 PM, I’ll be here to answer your questions about my campaign, my priorities, and the issues that matter to you.
Curious about something? Frustrated by something happening in Washington? Wondering what Congress can actually do about the problems facing our community? Just want to get to know me better? Ask me anything starting tomorrow at 12:30 PM.
