I’ve been letting the album marinate in my ears the past 3 weeks. At first listen I kept comparing it to 311 and wasn’t giving it a fair shot… but after accepting it as its own thing, I absolutely love the album from start to finish. It’s grown on me. I think Scotch actually has a great voice that compliments the instrumentals well. I really hope this album isn’t a one and done. I’m looking forward to future releases.

This was my 311 first show. I was a sophomore in high school. The lineup was The Pharcyde, 311, and Cypress Hill. First concert I ever paid to see. 311 was on tour supporting The Blue Album and Cypress was supporting Temples of Boom. Core memory!

i’m convinced that Flowing is the most ominous and dreamy song made by 311.
i mean, just watch the music video, it’s trippy in a way that’s still grounded, but definitely odd, y’know what i mean?
this song just has an other worldly feel compared to all the other songs, and i think i can only really compare it to a song like Don’t Stay Home.

I do think a lot of there songs are unique especially from chaos songs like champagne or amber. Is there a reason they didn’t have a big breakthrough? Was it competition at the time like rhcp or other bands?

Roanoke was 20 songs so probably 90 minutes?

Can't remember how long a "full" show is but is usually about 100-110 minutes right?

So I was wondering what would the Transistor album would look like if they actually made it a double album like they planned to, with 29/30 songs. So I planned the distribuition and the order of the songs from each album to be as best as possible but i might be wrong.

The Learning Curve's opening verse is the DTOM B-Side Pickswing. Anyone else notice this? I was blown away hearing that and am so glad they have done something with it, FINALLY.

Was out with a friend. 311 has been a band that I grew to love over the last year. Finally saw them in concert a few months ago and while I was out and about I saw this album and I had to buy it. I dont even remember the last time I bought a CD but this band means so much to me. 💕💕. Was skimming the CDs and Vinyls just to see if i could find anything. My buddy asked if they had any 311 and the dude said no. Then I happened to find it and bring it home with me.
