I was about to use my annual subscriber bonus money-off code to buy The Complete Thistlebone from the Rebellion online shop.

However, I emptied my cart and decided not to bother when I saw that postage was going to be almost £9. I then did a quick check and found that if I wanted to, I could get the same book for less and with free postage too from a well-known online store who I'm a subscriber to. (I won't though - I will always buy direct from 2000ad to support TGGC. I'll now ask someone to buy it for me from 2000ad as a Xmas pressie!)

I know Royal Mail's prices are getting ridiculous, but is £8.81 really the new price for bog-standard book delivery within the UK? I think I might start going totally digital from now on if RM are scalping us that hard now, especially with their deteriorating service.

I’m trying to read through the stories from the 1977 Summer Special and have the Invasion collection on the 2000AD app but can’t see that one included?

I’ve managed to read the ones for Harlem Heroes, Flesh and M.A.C.H. 1 thanks to their collections. Need to pick up Dan Dare Vol 1 and the Judge Dredd Restricted Files 1 (can’t believe it wasn’t included in the Case Files!) and then I can move on 😂

The current issues are making me want to go back and reread Williams (and others) maitland plotline without having months of horror stuff making me forget little details in between

What would people consider the vital chapters and anyone done it and felt they got more from it

Hello 2000ad subreddit!

is anyone else entering the Talent Search at thoughtbubble this year? or has anyone participated previously?

I am entering this year, this will be my first year and I'd love to ask other participants some general questions about submission (particularly if you are entering as an artist!) I'd especially love to speak to someone with previous years experience with entering.

Thanks all and good luck to anyone entering!

True facts

I made this and realised I knew absolutely nobody who would care

I attended the screening of Rogue Trooper at Prince Charles Cinema on Monday 12 October as part of the BFI London Film Festival.

Afterwards, there was a Q&A with Duncan Jones and three other people.

Does anyone know the names of the other three panellists?

I believe one of them was the Head of Film & TV at Rebellion (possibly someone called Stephen?), but I’m not certain.

Would really appreciate it if anyone who attended could help identify them. Thanks!

I remember a comic where Dredd was fighting a strange monster with tentacles in a scrapyard but can’t remember what it was called. Anyone on hear have any ideas?

What's 2000 AD's MADDEST series? Molch-R & KLO-E dive into Indigo Prime on this week's episode of the galaxy's greatest podcast — In Orbit Every Wednesday!

The thing I'm most looking forward to in Prog 2504 is Durham Red: Hungry City. I was a big Strontium Dog reader as a kid, and I've always liked how Durham Red opens up another corner of that world. A vampire bounty hunter with a few gaps in her memory is certainly a promising setup.

There's plenty else competing for attention this week, though: Judge Dredd: The New Future, Ghosted II, Azimuth: How to Train Your Dagon and Herne & Shuck: Storming the Stone. I also really like the odd collection of multiversal faces on Tazio Bettin's "Parallel Lives!" cover.

I haven't read this Prog yet. I've made a short, spoiler-free video going through the cover, the five strips and their creative teams as part of a new What's Inside? series:

https://youtu.be/WIvvGf1rnNY

For those following the current run, which of the five strips are you most looking forward to opening first, and why?

I was about eleven when Scream! originally came out, and I remember being completely enthralled by it. Seeing a Halloween Special in 2026 has sent me straight back there!

The story I'm most looking forward to revisiting is The Thirteenth Floor. Max, the all-seeing computer mind running things from the top of a tower block, always struck me as a wonderfully unsettling concept. And with AI becoming such a significant part of everyday life, the idea of technology deciding what's best for humanity feels even more relevant now.

I haven't read the special yet, so I'm avoiding spoilers. I've put together a short video looking at Salvador Lavado's cover, the five stories and their creative teams, as the first instalment of a new spoiler-free comics preview series:

For those who remember the original Scream!, which strip has stayed with you the most? And if you're picking up the new special, which story are you heading for first?

A couple of people who went to the PCC screening of the Rogue Trooper film said that March 2027 seems to be the date that was hinted at for release outside of festivals during the Q+A.

Hopefully there'll be an official announcement soon.

It would tie in with the 6-7 March 2000 AD 50th I guess.

This is from prog 21 and the previous prog’s Judge Dredd story included an issue of 2000AD!

“Glad we went animated in the end, but this could have been hilarious! 😂” - Duncan Jones

Attended last night in Leicester Square. Ask me anything!

From Duncan over on Bluesky just now.

“I have been excited in the past.
I’m familiar with the sensation… but how to explain the buzz im feeling after a 25 year journey to get it made, to finally… FINALLY bring ROGUE TROOPER HOME!

Hard to express really.

See you at the premiere at the LFF tomorrow night, LONDON!

SOTH! Time to break out the stone axes and loin cloths, as professional storyteller Jason Buck joins Molch-R & KLO-E to talk about adapting Pat Mills and Angie Kincaid’s Celtic barbarian for his own brand of show, how you bring Simon Bisley’s stunning art to life through words, the origin of ‘warp-spasm’, and how his moustache is so much more impressive than Molch-R’s! https://2000ad.com/news/slaine-on-the-stage-in-orbit-every-wednesday/

I stopped reading 2000ad around Necropolis (I hugely regret that) but have been busy getting the Dredd case files, I'm at #27. On a whim I bought the new The Dark Judges: Fall of Dead world omnibus and I'm blown away, I need more Death! I understand that there are Young Death and My Name is Death collections but is that enough? It's confusing due to the amount of books with different names but the sane content.

I stopped buying the weekly prog waaaay back (circa 700) and switched to just buying collected editions of my favourite characters. I’ve been told that I missed a treat by not being around for Nikolai Dante, so I thought I’d chase up the trades and see what I missed.

I can see that there are ten volumes, but I can also see a variety of trade dress, print sizes and differing covers. I’m assuming there have been Titan, Hamlin and Rebellion editions?

Has anyone got a photo of a unified set? I’m not precious about these things, but if possible I’d like to put together a coherent looking run, and it would be helpful to see what an entire set looks like.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all

I have been collecting prog 2 for a long time now. Im based in ireland so I've probably got the most copies over here.

I've been waiting a long time to find the stickers and finally I got a set. They are in extremely good quality. I have taken close ups of them I would appreciate if anyone in here had the stickers might put up a few pics of their stickers so I can compare and ensure they aren't fake.

Although this might sound strange but they smell like they are from the right decade haha.

Thanks!
