Western fans hyping up CBLOL only to watch them get systematically dismantled by the LCP (VCS) is an annual ritual. It's a textbook case of narrative bias over empirical evidence; the head-to-head statistics aren't a secret, yet people still refuse to look at the numbers.

Also after this year players should demand they shouldn’t be made to travel and play international tournaments without a minimum of 7 days between last game domestic and first game internationally.
We have had way too many times this year where teams were flying and instantly playing. And couldn’t even scrim before they had to play or had no time to prep.

Overreaction and complete disregard from what happened at msi. It’s fun to hype up teams and stuff but it’s like people don’t watch the games. There is a reason Furia lost to Los in cblol. They are fully dependent on Tatu for early game and the rest of their lanes can’t lane. And top can only play tanks. But tanks aren’t meta at all.

I think Furia at MSI showed signs of life. Combined with America's cup it was reasonable to think they'd caught up a bit to the other western regions. The CBLoL of today is really a lot better than it was years ago, just not better enough apparently.

C9 was playing for first stand and thought they had an easy win after dominating lock in. The finals were on March 1st. They had to fly on March 2nd so that’s like a 20 plus hr travel day. They then had to play against Furia in a bo3 on the 4th. So they had zero time to receiver from flying/to practice/to learn about Furia/ to recover mentally after losing finals. They then had to play 3 bo5s and their only day off was the 6th and then finals were on March 8th.
So they went from having to play lcs playoffs and losing and had zero rest and time to recover from travel. Also think some of their players were getting road sickness from driving on the roads to and from the hotel.

Might as well make an international event actually international instead of some stupid attempt to invite the 19 "best" teams.

they should be near worlds. it should just be worlds should be like the cs majors. cs majors start with the 16th to 32nd best teams and those teams play a swiss system to get top 8 to then promote. these teams should be there and they would get to actually play games and learn.
meanwhile they are in a bo5 bracket against c9 and kc. meanwhile c9 and kc practice teams everyday so much better and have so much more monetary resources. so instead of having like possible 10-15 games of their level they just get double 3-0'd by c9 and kc.

btw cblol is pool 2 somehow for no reason. i would love like the cs major system for qualifying teams into worlds. smaller teams get to go to worlds bought would have to beat teams their level and promote through the tournament until the final 16 truly has the 16 best teams in the world and then you get an insane group stage out of it.

and i feel bad for them. if they had to play teams their level they could probably learn and get something out of worlds. riot and people think they are doing a region a favor giving them auto top 16 and high seeds. when in reality it just harms them as they face teams way above their current skill.
like imagine los leveling up and playing in a 16-32 basically in the world and they can get top 8 in that and then try to get top 8 in a 8-24. they would get so many international games. instead of just thrown into top 16 and getting 3-0d

c9 can play more games in play ins than the winner of the whole tournament might play. 4 games swiss into 3 3-0s is 13 games. c9 can play 20 games in play ins and not even get out of it lmao.
but people will keep defending the awful group stage format or no doble elim bracket for worlds.

The game stayed pretty close throughout, Furia had a big lead on their Jax but it was mostly matched by smaller leads on the opposing Ashe and Cassio - Furia's lead was basically never more than 1.5k - 2k. Furia got ocean soul but it was traded for baron, MVK found a pick on Aru and pushed for the end.

Fuira top laner had a 2.5k gold lead and he rushed riftmaker 2nd. Proceeded to get caught 3 times in a row throwing his lead. MVK midlaner misplays flashing trying to ult Furia ADC and fails but instead of using the picks for tempo and pushing, Furia ADC and MID spend the next 30 seconds chasing MVK support around the map which loses Furia tempo and then they loss baron. MVK uses baron to push and got picks on Furia MID and ADC and win the game.

Gury on VI kept finding picks and it eventually snowballed. Furia had decent teamfights but just couldn't stop being picked and bleeding bounty gold.

This should have been unwinnable game for MVK after Guigo was 2.5k up and he inted his ass off multiple times and then Ayu chasing Seraphine instead of pushing gives up all their momentum.
