Hello. I (40F) never learned to drive. I attempted when I was in my early 20s (not in Europe), but I didn't have a good experience because I am not the best at tasks that require close coordination of several body parts moving at the same time :) so I had a couple of fender-benders, and got scared off the whole idea and gave up.
Since living in Europe I have mostly relied on the public transport and everything has worked well, but past years the DB has deteriorated to the point that it is severely impacting my ability to get to places in time, not missing flights, etc. with any sort of reasonable reliability. So I have decided to (much to my regret) take the step to re-attempt learning how to drive, and hopefully getting a license.
Because of my age and my limitations, I am aware I might not actually accomplish getting a license or feeling confident in driving, but I want to give it a shot, because it will greatly improve my life and independence, and not having to rely on friends or taxis to rescue me when I am stranded.
My German is not good enough to pursue this (B1 and improving, but I don't wanna combine too challenging tasks in one), so I would like to find an English speaking driving instructor in Wiesbaden who also have a high dose of patience :) I appreciate any recommendations!
