I just recently picked up the Final Hunt box online and was trying to plan on a force to build. I was thinking of using the more living units in Kallyss Ghosts of iOS box and doubling up in the living infantry.

Would this be a good build or is there any specific way I could go so I could use the Final hunt efficiently.

I’m also not opposed to Fane of Nyrro.

(I haven’t played a game yet but I am a war gamer so I’m not opposed to learning rules.)

During my last game a lot of questions came up about how to handle building terrain. We couldn't really find much details on building rules in the rule book. Specifically:

Who and how many models can you put into a building?

Can you attack an enemy in a building or do you have to attack the building itself?

How much health does a building have?

If you destroy a building with models in it, do those models die?

Can you capture/contest a marker from inside of a building?

So, seeing a few others also preparing their Menoth accouterments and wanted to share my printed altar.

I know flavour-wide they are paladins and crusaders, but so too did the Conquistadors see themselves, and they were obsessed with finding the Aztec city of gold. So I figured i would use that as the inspiration for this piece - a pyrite / fools-gold onyx stone base with gold and black flecks through the gate (some flecking may ake place around the outside of the base, but I dont want to overdo it), and a silver path of stones around the idol.

Used a multi-color filament to get the flames atop the walls and the symbol to show a distinction between the power of their God, and the opulent /"pure" look favored by the holy warriors.

Honestly im happy with this "less is more" look, for the 7 or 8 minutes of painting this took in total (single coat, minimally dabbed paint being spread thin), and the way that the flames shift More than the idol in their dancing forced perspective color shift

Hey there. As the title asks, what are the easiest factions to paint up in Warmachine (preferably sticking to Mk4) ? I would prefer not to be stuck behind the Warmachine equivalent of 'Chaos trim' for my first army.

Ideally something more on the 3D printing newbie friendly end.

Had an absolute peak game of Warmachine yesterday, 50 seconds left on each clock, played until the end of turn 6, 20-14 on scenario. That is the sort of game I love, it feels like a literal puzzle your solving as you play the game. The posturing, the positioning, the piece trading. I've played 4 games this week, just finished essentially a 2 hour game and both mine & Dans immediate reaction as soon as we finished was like "Now I just want to play the next".

No other game fires up the neurons in my brain like Warmachine does. It's just, so, good!

What are some of your guys favourite game memories?!

I am going for the lowest model count and most big models possible while still being playable. I'm a Chaos Knight player in 40k and I'm really into big mechs. I have this all printed out and half painted. The Assimilators and Axioms (I have three made) are all magnetized for the other options. Just wanted to get some input while I'm still in process. If there are some models that are mandatory takes I'm at a good point in the process to add more before all the airbrush effects are added.

Do they physically take up space? I'm assuming you can move through them, but can a model stop on them?

These, plus a handful of small bases not pictured, should be enough for the first few boxes of Menoth that are shipping out. Fingers crossed I did my math right on how many bases are needed 😆

The last WIP - now I need to add more details, highlights and a little bit of weathering here and there. Quite happy how they look already - 18hours in, probably another 6 on the next steps. Maybe I can add a Revenger in my 30hours goal too!

I am confused about how the money and malady man are being managed. I seem to recall in the past edition that the monkey was disposable and a new one was generated at the control phase if none were on the table.
That rule seems not to exist and nor does the monkey have a damage track.
I assume that makes it a 1 damage solo that just dies…

Fun model to paint once I got over the intimidation of starting it.
