Anyone know any breweries in the greater Seattle area that have some big (high ABV) beers on tap?

Not looking for IPAs at this moment- I'm thinking Scotch ales, Wee Heavy, imperial Stout, dopplebock, etc. ( I guess dark beers mostly)

Let me know what you know about!

I will be in Seattle during the week of Oct. 19. It's been a while since I visited the PNW. I started homebrewing in 2006 and I can think back to all the winter beers I used to get from that area: Full Sail Wassail, Pyramid Snowcap, Widmer Brrr (newer), etc. Most of these are discontinued or defunct now. What are your recommendations for seasonal beers while I'm up there that'll let me chase the nostalgia of my 20s? I'll take any recs but I'm specifically looking unspiced winter warmer styles. I'm looking forward to getting out of Texas and experiencing some fall weather and beers to match!

https://seattlefreshies.com/ has hourly updated lists of fresh hops, festbiers, and Oktoberfest beers, both breweries and taprooms.

I am waiting for the yearly influx of pumpkin beers on tap and in the grocery stores. I am striking out on both of them here in northern Snohomish county. Any local sightings yet?

investigating an interesting phenomenon. i live a few hours from seattle and shop for beers based on freshness, and georgetown is ALWAYS the freshest by miles, regardless of the store. what's up with that? do they have a really strict distributor who pulls old stock?

I've got a case of Bale Breaker's new 'Dive Bar' and some Douglas Lagers... Washington made dad beers felt fitting!

This time of year I always get a little nostalgic thinking about old pyramid snowcap- one of the first beers I ever bought for myself. I was at the brewpub by Safeco on a rainy fall day, I think the was a random company holiday party happening upstairs. It was the beginning of the 2010's craft beer craze and I had never tasted a beer with such depth of flavor.

The rest of the pyramid lineup never really impressed me, but I sure do miss Snowcap.

If anyone knows any similar beers here, let me know!

Howdy r/WAbeer Folk! I’ll be in your neck of the woods on Wednesday 11.5 at 425 Cellars (woodinville, WA). Super pumped to be telling jokes back in my old stomping grounds! It’s a 7pm show, so everybody gets to be home early on a school night! Ticket link below, come hang out with us!

Hi, I am a local game designer and always looking for great places to host game events. Curious what types of games people would love to see/play fave pub (I see cribbage , Go, and Yatzee a lot in my neighborhood) and which places are the best for playing games (i.e. nice big tables)?

Just a quick shout out to those going to the Fresh Hop Ale Festival this weekend. We went five or six years ago and had a blast.

I know WA in this sub usually means "Seattle", but if you get the chance to get to downtown Renton and go to 4 Generals I would recommend it.

It's a lager-only brewery, but the selection is wild- Feistbier, Schwartzbeer, Rauchbier, etc. lots of styles I never see other places, and the quality is great- extra impressive because they aren't doing many hop-forward styles, so less to hide behind.

Reminds me a lot of Chuckanut brewing, but in the south end. So nice to have some non-IPA options at a brewery.

Just came across Floodland brewing in Seattle, and as a huge saison fan I’m kicking myself for not knowing about them sooner! It looks like their releases are pretty hard to score, though. Anyone here tried them and know if they are worth it? Fair Isle and Hildegarde (and Garden Path when I’m up in Skagit) have been my main source of local saison and farmhouse and similar but I’d love to add another joint to the mix.

I'm visiting a friend in Seattle right now and we're wondering if it's possible to buy Star Beer anywhere nearby. It's from Nigeria and also brewed in other west African countries, but seems rare in the USA. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I will be in Seattle August 18th and 19th! We’re from Michigan and I’m really into craft beer. I’ve been to 250+ breweries in my state for reference. I wasn’t able to find a recent post asking for must visit Seattle breweries here anytime recently, so I figured I’d see what you guys have to say. I like just about everything outside of most Belgians, but my favorite styles are your typical hype styles (IPA’s of all kinds/dessert stouts/sours/barleywines). I could also be down to try a tap house if there’s a great one (saw a rec in an old thread for a place called Brouwer’s, but that looks permanently closed). I’d also be interested in hearing if there’s some consensus excellent bottle shop in the area. I’m guessing I might have time to fit in two or so places and our hotel will also be up by Holy Mountain just FYI. I appreciate any help and advice!

Does any brewery in WA (more specifically puget sound area) do firkins?

Anyone know if there's a way to buy some of Steve Austin's Broken Skull Beers in Washington? Preferably the Seattle/Tacoma region. They won't ship it outside of California and I've yet to find a place that sells it up here.

Hello everyone,

Is Mens Room original red from Elysian OOP? I know they have the Black Raven Mens Room IPA now but I've never been big on IPAs or fruity beers and Elysians Mens Room was in my rotation for a while and I don't see it anymore.

Any info would be great. Thanks!!

Too funny.

Save a click... This report says that Yeungling is the most popular beer in WA. Which isn't distributed to WA state.

Looking for the best beer /brewery on the way back from Olympic National and the Seattle Airport. I’m a beer fan, so love a great beer at a cool brewery. Love hazy IPA, Blonde Ales and Oktoberfest amongst others!

If there’s NA beer options (draft or cans) that’s a plus but not required
