I just came to complain to the internet about how I started to dislike crates cargo tauri and everything with that ecosystem . I mean it's fine for sidecar if you already have mastered Rust and want to use it for the epeen but a slop architect will hate it over time as apps that use it always break or have some issue you no idea why started to happen. You will have less problems with JavaScript and electron lol.Rust just feels like a language meant to spite the .net ecosystem. V doesnt feel that way. I really wish it was adopted as the main AI language over python so you can learn programming by getting your feet wet with getting slop boilerplate coding out of the way since V can be understood if you try to learn it. You can eventually start understanding the codebase and eventually become a real programmer who can edit their code to their liking without rusts change one thing then it creates a cascade of errors down the line in the codebase type of thing. Rust doesn't suck but isnt great as I was told originally.
I hope C++ to V becomes more mature. That's my only real gripe. Also I noticed V works better with GCC over Clang or Zig compiler for binding work. None of these are deal breakers to me
I am just happy the V author didn't listen to haters and stop his work. I appreciate him sticking with it as we need a real alternative to rust bros who should just tell noobs to use Python and Flet for their first app if they want an actual working prototype that isn't a PITA over their language
.
Edited to say this was probably too overboard and got into flame territory. There are alot of Rust users who aren't toxic.

fquery is a method-chained language integrated query framework that is an anti-ORM. It can be serialized to SQL, but that's one of the many options. It also supports querying in-memory or on-disk object graphs via cypher.
This work is an attempt to port it to vlang - so database backed apps can be developed in python and transpiled to vlang via an agent. Transpiling low level code (such as sqlmodel or sqlalchemy) is tedious. But a decorated dataclass can be easily transpiled to a struct with the right decorators. Ditto for method chained queries.
Any feedback on how to idiomatically represent predicates so they're evaluated at query execution time rather than query compile time?

Olivier Poncet's review of the Vinix OS and for the 2nd time, the V language (previous video). Well done explanations and insights.
Contains standard and docking variants, GLFW and Vulkan backends, with reproducible V language native generation. Antono2 also has a video for learning more about V.

Async WebRTC library for the V language. Design goals: correctness against the RFCs, safety against hostile input, layered API, and being readable.
Bedrock-V (Bedrock Veasels), several projects related to lightweight Minecraft and Vedrock, that welcomes contributors.

Vinix shows the capabilities of the V programming language on bare metal. It's an independently developed, Unix-like OS with its own: kernel, drivers, process model, filesystem layer, and system calls. However, Alpine Linux binaries can run on Vinix, including various Windows apps through Wine.
Vinix's desktop is written with V's new UI2 library (which includes the UI2 studio IDE), and is used as a desktop environment and window manager.

UI2 is a new compact declarative UI module for the V language. It uses retained native controls on macOS, iOS, and Windows; custom immediate-mode renderer (based on V's gg module) for Linux and Android. Switching between retained native to immediate-mode can be done via the command line, for certain OSes.
UI2 Studio, is a new and in development IDE, that's part of the module. A Delphi/Lazarus-style visual form designer, implemented entirely in V and UI2, that fulfills an earlier promise.

I haven't worked on Mustela or built any web projects with it for a long time. Just for fun, I got Mustela running on Windows 10 using WSL, and it turns out it runs smoothly.
However, while testing a new web project using Mustela, I ran into an interesting problem. When editing files with Vim, the watch mode in version 1.0.0-stable wasn't responding correctly.
Vim is known for using temporary files when saving (atomic saves), which Mustela's event filter wasn't handling properly. I've fixed this critical bug, and version 1.1.0 is now available for download.
I wrote a blog post where I go into more detail about the whole thing: Why Windows won't happen, and how Vim messed with my watch mode
Thanks for checking it out, and as always, feedback or bug reports are very welcome!

ReactiveX is an API for programming with Observable streams, that provides a unified model for handling asynchronous data. RxV brings this model to V (Vlang) using:

net.http now speaks pooled, multiplexed HTTP/2 by default — across mbedTLS, OpenSSL, and native Windows (SChannel). Just call http.fetch() / http.get() like normal: V negotiates h2 via ALPN, reuses connections transparently, and falls back to HTTP/1.1 automatically for origins that don't support it. No config needed (enable_http2: false if you ever want the old one-shot behavior).
The server side is fully RFC 9113 / 7541-conformant — 146/146 h2spec cases passing.
Landed across #27412, #27413, #27643, and #27712 (the Windows piece). Thanks to everyone who reviewed along the way — go build something with it! 🚀

Inspired by Clay, a cross-platform GUI library for the V language. Fast layout algorithm that makes flex-box style layouts simpler. No worrying about: data binding, observables, UI thread synchronization, wiring, callbacks, or threading headaches. View is a function of your state; change the state anywhere and the UI updates.

Cross-platform GUI library for the V language. Inspired by the syntax of Java's Swing/FX & Fluent/WinUI3 Style.

Rather than treating V (Vlang) as a list of syntax rules, this guide (useful as a tutorial or review) emphasizes a practical path: learn the core ideas, run the examples, and build small projects as you go.

There's a petition circulating right now demanding that Open-Source contributions be formally recognized as volunteering for the common good.
I read more about it via Inkscape (the open-source graphics editor), as they just published an article supporting it: https://inkscape.org/pt-br/news/2026/05/13/inkscape-supports-german-petition-to-recognize-ope/
After reading it, I didn't hesitate. I checked out the petition and saw it's focused on Germany, where this issue is currently being actively discussed by politicians. I signed it and left a comment with my thoughts. The link is here: openpetition.org/!sywhp
I believe that if the petition spreads enough (there are only 4 months left to sign), it will spark a much bigger conversation. If Germany actually pushes this through, it could set a precedent for other countries, including the Czech Republic, where I'm based.
A huge part of the Vlang community is deeply involved in open-source, and we have many engineers here building truly sustainable, resource-efficient programs. The fact that the V language itself is such an amazing open-source project perfectly aligns with the goal of saving hardware resources and writing efficient code.
