Discussion Navgator Report - Round 121, Deep Dive X2E Applications - ST3PR
WHAT ST3PR IS
ST3PR is a walk-to-earn app that turns an everyday habit, walking (and running), into B3TR rewards. The loop is about as simple as it gets: the app reads your step count from Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, your steps build through the day on a central step ring, and you claim B3TR for them, with claims open every 24 hours. No wearable or extra hardware is needed, since the step counter already in a smartphone is enough.
Rewards are tied to real daily movement: up to 20,000 steps a day count toward rewards, with the strongest rate sitting in a mid-range band, so the design rewards a steady, sustainable walking habit instead of extreme numbers. Holders of certain NFTs such as Corgi Gang 2.0, Genesis and VeHashes can activate a multiplier that increases what their steps earn. The app itself keeps progress easy to see: a daily step ring, a calendar history of every claim, and lifetime totals for both steps and B3TR earned. Rewards arrive as B3TR, the token used across the wider VeBetter ecosystem.
THE NUMBERS
| Metric | R118 | R119 | R120 | Trend / Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Active Users (WAU) | 1,785 | 1,780 | 1,769 | Very stable core |
| 3-Rd Avg WAU | — | — | ~1,778 | Steady, loyal base |
| B3TR Actions | 12,224 | 12,231 | 12,000 | Flat, consistent activity |
| Actions / User | 6.85 | 6.87 | 6.78 | High and steady |
| New Users | 0 | 0 | 311 | |
| XAlloc Earned [B3TR] | 241,934.7 | 232,749.1 | 217,834.5 | Easing down round to round |
| B3TR Distributed [B3TR] | 110,777.6 | 120,734.5 | 134,190.7 | Rising payout to users |
| Distribution Ratio | 45.8% | 51.9% | 61.6% | Climbing each round |
A loyal, consistent core. Weekly active users held near 1,780 across all three rounds and actions per user stayed around 6.8, meaning the average walker earned rewards on close to six or seven days each round.
More of the pool is reaching walkers. Even as the weekly allocation earned eased down, B3TR distributed to users rose each round, lifting the distribution ratio from about 46 percent to 62 percent.
WHAT'S WORKING
One simple habit, almost zero friction. Walking is something people already do, and ST3PR simply reads the step data already on the phone through Apple Health or Health Connect. There is no new hardware, no wearable and no manual logging, so a walker starts from exactly where they are.
A loyal core that keeps showing up. Weekly active users held near 1,780 across all three rounds, with per-user activity staying steady round to round. That consistency is the signature of a habit that sticks rather than a one-time spike of curiosity.
The Jackpot Wheel turns walking into a weekly event. A gamified community game sorts walkers into step-tier badges and hands out extra spins for loyalty streaks and for beating last week’s step count. A growing jackpot, guaranteed consolation prizes and an entry rule that asks players to vote in the current VeBetterDAO round keep the walking tied to the wider ecosystem.
Progress is visible and satisfying. A step ring, lifetime totals from day one and a calendar history of every claim give walkers a clear picture of their effort. Shorter 24-hour and 14-day change indicators add frequent, close-up feedback on top of the long view.
MARKET POSITION
The inactivity problem is large and still growing. According to the WHO (June 2024, drawing on 2022 data), nearly 1.8 billion adults, about 31 percent, do not meet recommended physical activity levels, up roughly five percentage points since 2010 and projected to reach 35 percent by 2030. Walking is the most accessible remedy there is, and it is exactly the behaviour ST3PR rewards.
Most of walking’s health payoff arrives at very reachable step counts. Recent pooled research places the benefits well below the old 10,000 target: a 2023 meta-analysis in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found all-cause mortality benefits beginning under 4,000 steps a day, while a separate 2023 analysis of more than 110,000 people saw benefits continuing to around 8,800. ST3PR’s reward design, strongest in a mid-range band and capped at 20,000 steps, sits squarely in this evidence-backed zone rather than pushing extremes.
Paying people to move actually works. A 2020 review in the British Journal of Sports Medicine pooling 23 randomized trials found financial incentives raised daily step counts by about 600 steps on average during the program, with a smaller gain persisting after incentives stopped, and that even modest rewards (around 1.40 US dollars a day) were enough. That is the core thesis of walk-to-earn, and it has real evidence behind it.
Move-to-earn is an established and growing category. Independent research firms estimate the move-to-earn fitness app market at roughly 0.6 to 0.7 billion US dollars in 2024/25, growing at mid-to-high teens annually toward an estimated 2 to 3 billion US dollars in the early 2030s (vendor estimates vary by definition). ST3PR enters a crowded field of step-reward apps with a distinct footing inside VeChain and the VeBetter ecosystem.
BUSINESS MODEL PATHS
The paths below are ideas for inspiration, not a checklist, and not something ST3PR must adopt. The app’s rewards are funded today by weekly VeBetterDAO allocations, topped up at times with NFT royalties. These are simply directions it could choose to explore if it wants to add revenue of its own, each one optional.
| Path | Detail |
|---|---|
| Brand-sponsored walking challenges | Sportswear, nutrition, wellness or insurance brands sponsor themed step challenges and seasonal events, paying to reach a daily-active, health-minded audience. The Jackpot Wheel and weekly-event machinery to run these already exists. |
| Local foot-traffic partnerships | Gyms, cafes, parks and local retailers pay to appear as step destinations or offer “walk here” rewards, turning ST3PR’s walkers into real-world foot traffic. A local-commerce angle rather than a national-brand one. |
| Sponsored steps for a cause | Brands or NGOs fund “walk-for-good” campaigns where steps unlock donations, paid from corporate social-responsibility budgets. A philanthropy angle that adds meaning and brings in sponsor money without touching user rewards. |
| Destination and tourism routes | Cities, tourism boards and attractions sponsor guided walking routes and landmark check-ins with step rewards. A civic and tourism angle that pays ST3PR to drive visitors along chosen paths. |
AI & AGENT OPPORTUNITIES
AI and AI agents could help ST3PR deepen the daily experience and take manual work off its team’s plate. The ideas below are forward-looking directions, each one optional, that build on what the app already does.
A personal walking coach agent. Uses each walker’s own step history to send well-timed, personalized nudges: a reminder when a daily goal is close, encouragement when a streak is at risk, or a suggestion for the time of day they usually move most. Turns raw step data into gentle motivation.
A community matchmaking agent. Pairs walkers with similar goals, schedules or step levels into small groups or friendly rivalries, so the habit gains a social pull and people have teammates to show up for.
A route and destination discovery agent. Suggests nearby parks, scenic loops or “walk here” destinations sized to a user’s step goal, giving people somewhere to go and pairing naturally with any local or tourism partnerships.
A health and wellness insights agent. Translates step trends into plain-language wellness insights and gentle, evidence-informed tips, helping walkers connect the daily habit to how they actually feel over time.
An in-app support agent. A conversational helper for the common questions (steps not showing, claim timing, Health Connect setup) could resolve issues instantly in-app and ease the load on Discord tickets.
Agents like these can be built and tested today with VeWorld.ai’s AgentSuite, a toolkit for creating on-chain AI agents that gives ST3PR a low-lift way to experiment.
AREAS TO DEVELOP
ST3PR has built a loyal daily core and a working reward loop. The areas below are places where a little more investment might help it grow that base and make the journey smoother for the next wave of walkers. Each is offered as an opportunity to build on, not a shortcoming.
Help newcomers become regulars. The loyal core is a real strength, and the opportunity is to grow it. Early milestones, light guidance and first-week encouragement could carry more first-timers over the line into a lasting daily habit.
Add an invite-a-friend reward. A referral program would let the loyal core become a growth engine, rewarding walkers for bringing in friends. Word-of-mouth is a natural fit for a habit people already talk about, and it turns existing goodwill into new sign-ups.
Cross-promote across the VeBetter ecosystem. Co-promotions and shared quests with other VeBetter apps would tap audiences that already hold B3TR and understand the model, a friendly channel for reaching the next wave of users.
Bring the Jackpot Wheel into the app. The Wheel is one of ST3PR’s most engaging features, yet it lives on a separate site and Discord. Surfacing the entry, countdown and leaderboard inside the app would help far more of the user base discover and join the weekly game.
NAVIGATOR NOTE
Walking is the one kind of movement almost everyone shares. It asks for no equipment, no membership and no special talent, only the willingness to take the next step. ST3PR begins from that simple, universal act and gives it a little more meaning, rewarding a habit people were going to keep anyway with something that quietly adds up over time.
What stands out in ST3PR is steadiness. Round after round, roughly the same community of walkers keeps showing up, putting in steps on most days of the week. That kind of consistency is harder to build than a burst of attention, and it is exactly the foundation a lasting app stands on. The habit is real, and the people are loyal.
The next chapter can make that habit smarter. Agents can coach a walker toward a goal, answer a question the moment it arises, help a newcomer take their first confident steps, and carry the weekly game along without friction. Tools like VeWorld.ai’s AgentSuite put this within reach, and the teams that experiment early will find fresh ways to keep people moving and to welcome the next wave of them.
Every journey, as the old saying goes, begins with a single step. ST3PR has taken a good many already, and the path ahead runs wide open. Keep walking.
