This is the Vandy Vape PULSE AIO V2, with the Thundercloud El Mono Vapeador Requiem RBA Boro Tank. After about 13 days it started to systematically fall apart and fail.
There is absolutely ZERO issues with the RBA. It's amazing and I can't say enough about it. Great air flow! I like a good airy direct to lung pull! This has so many options and builds just a fantastic little tank. Get one, well worth it,
Now the Vape itself. Man...... Okay so this was my introduction into Boro mods so there is kind of rose colored glasses here. I like the design and how compact it is. The color is fun, decent build, and I really want to love this device but I just can't.
I had some issues from the start, wouldn't register the tank it came with, had to do some fighting with it to get it to work. Honestly even now I couldn't tell you what I did to fix it but I did. Literally no idea.
Once I got it up and running the flavor I was getting off the coils it came with sucked. The best way to describe it is a dirty flavor. Bland AND dirty?! Sign me up! Made on of my own and much better, still not the best but better.
Then the leaking and condensation started. The pulse v2 RBA had some leaking issues. If it wasn't pushed together by the gods it would still lightly leak. Switched it out to the Requiem and the condensation got behind a plastic panel that the only way to clean was to remove 4 screws, clean it replace the 4 screws and panel, the add the outside panel. Super design flaw.
Now here's the best part.... After 13 days it would randomly misfire. Push the fire button and nothing, notta, zip, zero. Randomly will say short circuit when there isn't one! Then the ohms meter would just take the fuck off and jump to a .67 on a .28 ohm coil. Let's also throw it the fact the volts would change all by themselves from 35 down to 15. I tried so much stuff, everything is touching and how it needs to be set up but the chip in this does whatever it wants to do.
There is no recharge port so I had to buy another battery because this thing is thirsty for a charge! Just sucks down the battery. Speaking of there would be 2 lines left of a charge and it wouldn't fire because it was too dead..... To get to the battery you have to take off the panels, well today the magnets decided to no longer be attached so the front no longer has a panel. Oh the panels, the scratch magnate panels. If you look to hard at the panels, they might get scratched.
There really isn't any redeeming qualities here. When it worked at a 100% I LOVED this thing. I couldn't put it down. Feels great in the hand, fire button placement is good, and the design is fun. Very steam punk, meets Frankenstein, which I love but passed that I got nothing. If I was rating on a 1 to 10 scale, this would be a 3. It did get me excited to get something bigger and better.
Only lasting 16 days when you're broke and taking a leap of faith on something sucks. You want your money to go farther than what feels like an over priced disposable.
My introduction to Boros was kind of lame but I'm not a quiter! I have what I'm calling the Ferrari of Boros coming in next week. It should fix ALL my issues I have with this one. The only issue I have with the new one coming in is the color. Unfortunately they don't make these anymore and beggars can't be choosers. I'll post a pic when I get it in.
