for context, I met this girl and we kinda connected,talked about our lives and also about childhood. we were so open to each other, I talked way much than I should have.
I asked this question to tarot since I discovered that she is familiar with my brothers best friends and also to my brother. ( I don’t really like him nor his best friends- they have such a bad mindset).

for context, we had a fling about a year ago and i ended things because he didn’t seem to want any commitment and i do. we were good friends prior, and we continued regular contact until about may of this year. he seemed to begin dating a girl in our friend group and it’s too much for me to be around. in this time he still sent me posts on social media almost daily, and would plan group hangouts trying to get me to go (which i did not). he sent me a very sweet birthday gift and message when it came up a couple months later and i began speaking to him every now and again if i’m hanging with our mutual friends.

My interpretation is that he still thinks of me sometimes and wants the stability our friendship provided, though he still wants to maintain control over it. As I stated before, I have been taking a lot of time for myself, which I believe has calmed down the situation some for me and I should continue to do so, especially as I wasn’t getting what I needed out of it when we were with each other. I pulled the 10 of pentacles as a clarifying card, and I took that as a sign that holding true to my principles would eventually lead me to the type of stability I’ve been wanting.

As this is a situation that I feel I have let draw itself out for too long (which led to me limiting contact and more recently questioning the minor contact we’ve had), is it possible there’s anything that I may have missed or subconsciously not wanted to recognize within this spread? I understand that things take time and space to fully get over, and I have certainly made a few errors in this process (which are also necessary to experience). I am just very wary of getting tunnel visioned and not actually acknowledging or understanding what is truly burdening me.

Yesterday, I asked the Tarot about my ex's feelings for me nowadays, and these two cards showed up. I didn't use a specific spread and I didn't take more cards because my intuition said that these two were enough.
