Physical Product Torch projector immersive games

• Upvotes

I was thinking that a torch that had a projector beam in it and motion sensors could be used in some way in gaming. In a white painted room in near darkness you could point it in a direction and the projection be for a specific angle. When the direction is changing the corresponding picture for the angle could incrementally change. Point it higher, lower and in different directions and the picture alters. The result is it could produce the effect that your inside the game and the torch projectors picture shows your pretend 'in game' surroundings. It would be more limited in a house because of furniture and different sized rooms although a more limited version would be possible. The picture has to reflect where you are holding the torch and the angle to know what to project. It could admittedly be very complicated to get to work but if it were possible it has a lot of scope for games that feel like your in the game. More basic versions could be done for one wall only or for the floor. Point up with the projector and it looks like your shining a light higher up the scene of the game, point at the ceiling and it might be a starry sky or alien invasion, have a crosshair for a game where you shoot with the torch used like a gun. Control buttons like a control pad could be on it too.

Physical Product Some sort of glass/mirror wedge to aide in seeing your 2 face down cards without lifting them from the table when playing Texas Hold Em.

Quadriplegic here. I'm imagining a small, mirrored wedge that the two cards could be slid onto so that only I could read them. That way I can hire someone to be my hands, but only I know what I have.

Alright I know what you’re all gonna say “I hate that yellow ball he’s annoying” but my baby is OBSESSED with him. She will run (crawl like a demon baby) as fast as she can across the house if she hears his commercial come on. Idk what it is about that thing but she wants it bad. I was thinking it shouldn’t be that hard to make right? It’s just a dodgeball with yellow fur eyes and a mouth. But when I tried to actual plan out how to do it I realized it is in fact not that simple and I also don’t know how to sew 💀 so if anyone can make one of these or if anyone can find one on Etsy or something ( I haven’t been able to find anything) I would gladly buy it for my baby 💀

A butterfly-like robot with AI for personal assistance. It has spatial consciousness and can fly around in the home. "Personal companion" mode limit its range to hovering above the shoulders or resting on it. It will have speakers, mic and could be plug as ear buds. In fact, it's of the size of an ear pud.

Software Feedback on an AI learning app that plans lessons around your schedule?

I’m considering building an iOS app where you pick a topic, set a learning goal, and get short lessons with quizzes.
You’d tell it when you’re available, and it would fit lessons into your week, send reminders, track progress, and adjust the plan when you miss a session.
I know AI tutors already exist. I’m trying to figure out whether helping people stay consistent around a busy schedule solves a real problem before I build anything.
What’s the last thing you tried to learn but didn’t finish? What got in the way, and what did you use to stay on track?
Would you be interested in trying an early version? Honest criticism welcome.

Physical Product AI Console Devicd

**I don’t have investment or technical skills or anything. I just want to share my idea. hahaha**

The idea is that you don’t just play a game; you experience it.

The AI Console Device is a screen-based gaming device that lets you interact with a game world through natural conversation instead of using a traditional controller or remote. You talk to the AI, give commands to your characters, explore the world, and make decisions that shape what happens next.

For example, in a strategy game, you could play as a king. Instead of manually clicking through menus or controlling every unit, you could tell your AI advisor to build an army, order your generals to attack an enemy kingdom, negotiate peace with another ruler, or manage your kingdom’s resources. The AI would interpret your commands and carry them out within the game’s rules.
The experience could continue even when you’re away from home. As long as the device remains powered on and connected to the internet, you could use a companion app or another supported interface to give commands remotely. Your kingdom could continue developing in the background, and you could check in, make decisions, or respond to unexpected events whenever you want.

The goal is to make gaming feel less like operating a machine and more like living inside an interactive world. You don’t just control characters; you communicate with them, build relationships, make decisions, and experience the consequences.

Software What small app do you wish existed? I'll consider building the most requested one.

I want to build something people genuinely need, so I'm asking you directly.

What's one annoying, repetitive, or frustrating problem in your life that a simple mobile app could fix?

Maybe you currently use a spreadsheet, several different apps, or a messy workaround because nothing does exactly what you need.

I'm a mobile app developer, and I want to collect real problems, shortlist the 10 best ideas, and let people vote on which one I should build.

My goal is to make a useful Android app with a simple one-time lifetime price — potentially $2.99, $5.99, or $9.99 — rather than forcing users into another monthly subscription.

Please describe the problem, not just the app idea.

What frustrates you? What have you tried already? And what would a genuinely good solution look like?

The more specific you are, the better chance your idea has of making the shortlist.

Physical Product Seeking 4lakhs (4700$) investment to build an innovative AC prototype offering 10% patent partnership

Hello everyone,

My name is Shaik Asrar, and I’m an aspiring inventor and home-appliance repair technician from India. I have around 9 years of hands-on experience repairing air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines.

Throughout my work, I’ve gained practical exposure to common appliance problems, maintenance requirements, installation challenges, and the costs customers face. This experience inspired me to explore a different approach to air conditioning.

💡 My Concept: D.C Direct Cool AC

I’m developing a concept for an alternative to conventional split and window AC systems, with the goal of making cooling more affordable, convenient, and energy-efficient.

The potential benefits include:

No outdoor unit: A design intended to eliminate the need for a separate outdoor unit.

Simpler installation: The goal is to eliminate conventional copper refrigerant piping and simplify installation.

Fewer maintenance hassles: Designed to address common concerns such as refrigerant leakage and recurring service costs.

Lower electricity consumption: Energy efficiency is a key development goal that will need to be validated through testing.

Affordable pricing: A target selling price of approximately ₹25,000 or less, depending on the final design and manufacturing costs.

Accessible cooling: A long-term vision to make air conditioning more accessible to middle-class families and underserved markets.

👨‍🔧 Why I’m Pursuing This Idea

I’m not approaching this problem only as a business opportunity. My background as a repair technician has allowed me to observe the practical challenges that AC owners and technicians face.

I want to use that experience to develop a different cooling solution. However, I recognise that the concept still needs engineering expertise, prototype development, and proper performance testing.

🤝 Investment Opportunity

I’m looking for an investor or technical partner willing to invest ₹4,00,000 (approximately US$4,700) to help build and test the first prototype.

In return, I’m proposing a 10% partnership in the patent rights associated with the invention, subject to a mutually agreed legal agreement.

The investment would support component procurement, prototype fabrication, engineering work, and initial testing.

📍 Current Stage

The project is currently at the concept stage, and no working prototype has been built yet. I’m seeking early-stage support to move from an idea to a testable product.

I’m open to connecting with individual investors, HVAC engineers, product designers, and people experienced in refrigeration and cooling technologies.

If you’re interested in discussing the concept or exploring a potential partnership, please comment below or send me a direct message.

I have practical industry experience, a clear development goal, and the willingness to work toward turning this concept into reality. I’m looking for the right person to help take the first step.

Thank you for reading.

Physical Product HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?

You're making a video call to a relative in some far flung corner of the globe. You all huddle around a small screen trying to make it work. Your TV is sitting there, laughing at you as it should definitely be the video calling screen. But chrome-casting doesn't include cameras and setting up a webcam, mic and hdmi cable each time for your laptop is a pain.

Has this ever happened to you? Trying to work out the size of this problem.

P.s. if it hasn't and you don't think this is an issue then please can you type an animal noise to make it more fun, i.e. "Quack" or "Grrr" etc.

Software SMT: A dunk-training app that explains what to change between jump attempts

A jump score is nice, but if you're still below the rim, what do you actually do differently next week?

I'm exploring an app for people chasing their first dunk. You enter your height, standing reach, current jump and training background, then record an attempt. You pick the takeoff you want to work on: left foot, right foot or two feet.

The useful part would be connecting feedback on visible technique to a short training plan, matched to your equipment and schedule. Film another attempt later and see what changed. AI could help compare the clips, but it shouldn't pretend a video proves which muscle is weak or promise a dunk by a certain date.

The thing I'm unsure about: maybe a good existing program plus occasional feedback from a coach already does this well enough.

If you've paid for a jump program or coaching, what did you still have to figure out yourself? That's the gap I'd want to understand before building anything. This is just an idea, no app or signup to promote.

Physical Product Somebody make a KVM that's also a Docking and NAS? Put everything on my desk in one device.

I have a MacBook and a Windows PC sharing two monitors and one keyboard/mouse with KVM. I’d love a single box with a small screen that switches the whole setup, and also serving as docking and NAS which let me connect the MacBook with ideally one cable, and stores files on the network.

Software One shared public conversation across social media

What if there were a website that brought together public posts from different social networks and showed everyone the same view of what people are talking about?
Right now, social media algorithms give each of us a different version of the world. What goes viral, what we see, and what we think everyone is discussing depend heavily on our personal feeds.
Imagine a public website that worked differently:
One shared worldwide topic list. Everyone sees the same topics in the same order, regardless of their interests or browsing history.
Topics, not just a feed. Related public posts from different networks are grouped into conversations, so you can see what’s emerging, what’s trending, and what people continue discussing over time.
Transparent ranking. Topics are ranked using published signals such as recency, growth, activity across independent sources, and persistence—not hidden personalization or editors deciding which opinions deserve attention.
Explore the original posts. Open any topic to read public posts from different platforms and follow links to the original discussions.
No account required. Just visit the website and see the public conversation.
The goal wouldn’t be to tell people what’s important or what to think. It would be to create a common starting point so people can see what’s happening, discover conversations outside their usual bubbles, and decide for themselves what deserves their attention.
It could start with networks that offer accessible public APIs and expand over time.
I don’t have the time or intention to build this myself, but I’d love to see someone take the idea and make it happen. Does something like this already exist?

Physical Product An idea to save human history

Human history is vulnerable to time. We are living on a vulnerable planet. Hence, it is difficult to preserve our history in case of any catastrophe.

To solve this problem, we can build a cosmic time capsule that protects human history by sending our digital archives like AI written text and historical records into space using light.

Because light does not age while traveling, beaming these thoughts to the Moon and back lets that data skip forward in time, while sending it deeper into space can delay its return by years or decades.

We can start by testing this laser link between Earth and the Moon, and once that works, we build a permanent storage vault on the lunar surface.

Right now, the technology exists, but nobody is connecting the pieces. NASA uses lasers just to stream videos from deep space, and other groups leave static storage discs on the Moon.

This plan combines space lasers, relay satellites, and a permanent storage vault on the Moon into one connected system. That is, creating an automatic backup for human history.

It keeps our collective memories safe in an untouched world so that even if Earth suffers a disaster, our history skips through time unharmed and stays ready for future generations to recover.

Any future visitors to the Moon can still recover our legacy.

(Anyone interested in building this is free to build it)
