PSEA Fall 2027 intake
My student checklist finally updated today to “awaiting materials” for the PSEA but no email from SAIT with instructions and/or a link to complete the test. Anyone else in the same boat?

I’ve just received an email for sait saying that I have conditionally met the requirements and now I have to do the PSEA and Casper, but I was wondering when should I book the tests? (In order to get picked from the first round of applications in January)

Hi there so I just got Accepted and now am going to SAIT for the baking and pastry course for fall of 2027. I’m starting to plan out what to do but I’m honestly unsure on one thing, I really want to know what comes in the 700$ baking kit as I want to find out if I should get a toolbox or a knife bag, and I just like to be prepared, I just want to know what’s in it and it’s like this big grand secret lol. If anyone can help I’m so grateful

I researched what kind of laptop I need and the requirements (Intel Core i5+, 16GB ram, 512GB SSD, etc), but what kind of laptop, those who also are in School of Business, did you use, and what would you recommend? Is there a more affordable choice that is not a thousand dollars?

Has anyone taken online high school classes through Canadian Virtual School? I'm wondering if these credits are officially recognized

I got waitlisted for pre health science fall 2027… does anyone know any equivalent courses in the pre health course classes I can take and Has anyone also gotten the admission decision to be approved or accepted?
I am so upset about this whole waitlist decision I have the requirements I signed up as soon as possible.😔

Has anyone gotten acceptance to write their PSEA/CASPERS yet for health sciences? I applied on the first day and not sure when we will start getting accepted/invited to test.

I really want to go into sonography but I’m kind of a mediocre student (currently grade 11). I have 70s-80s when I try really hard, but I’m again scared for 30 level courses and exams. I’m going to the Sait open house to figure out more. But I’m very confused because some of the website is a bit confusing. Is it first come first serve or relying on competitive average more? Does anyone in or who has taken sonography at SAIT have tips on how to (almost) guarantee getting in?

Hey yall, so I start my EMR course soon and I am aware that it is a blended course and that kind of worries me because I'm not really good at teaching myself the course outlines and learn things. So I wanna ask those who have taken or still taking the EMR course:
- How does the course look like, is it manageable?
- Are the in person labs and exams are hard or just average
- Do I need to complete majority of the things to understand the exams and labs?
- Is it bad if I don’t keep up with the course outlines every day and take one day off from learning?
Thank you

I was wondering if I have a chance at Respiratory Therapy here. I think with SAIT you just need to meet the minimum average and then get CASPER and PSEA? Currently my average
Ela 30-1: (almost done I have a 78)
Bio 20: 89
Chem 20: 87
Math 20-1: 78
Hi everyone!
I'm planning to apply for SAIT's Environmental Technology diploma for the Fall 2027 intake, but I don't meet all the admission requirements yet.
I need to complete some high school upgrading courses through Chinook Learning, but its application period doesn't open until December 7, 2026.
For those who have been in a similar situation, I have two questions:
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has applied to SAIT while completing upgrading courses, especially for a competitive program.
Thank you!

Hey!
My classmates and I are SAIT School of Business students, and we're organizing a fundraiser called Voices for Freedom in support of #NotInMyCity, an organization working to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
We're hosting an event on November 17 at Arrowhead in Calgary, featuring:
🎤 A live performance by Paul Brandt
🎶 Additional live singers and a DJ
💛 Fundraising activities supporting #NotInMyCity
We're currently working on getting everything ready, including our ticket website, but in the meantime, we'd LOVE your support in growing our Instagram page!
Even if you can't attend, a follow or share would genuinely mean so much to us. We're hoping to reach as many people in Calgary as possible.

Thank you!

Cross-posted to our sister campus as I'm sure there isn't much of a difference applying to such a coveted program. Hopefully I can hear some advice here. Thank you, I will take this down if required.

I'll be attending very soon in Winter 2027 and just wanted to make sure I'm getting my money's worth.

After I submitted everything on my application checklist on the 13th, a new item was added as “details transcript date for banner high school load”.
I’ve read that it’s for my official transcripts and that I don’t need to add anything myself as SAIT gets official transcripts automatically, and I’ve also seen my transcript history on ApplyAlberta and it states that SAIT has received my transcripts.
But it’s been days and hasn’t updated so I’m getting a little worried. I’ve also tried contacting SAIT right after seeing the new material on my checklist, but I’ve gotten no reply.
Anyone else having the same problem or know what it means?

Hi everyone,
I just completed my PSEA for SAIT’s Primary Care Paramedic program, and I honestly felt pretty good about how the exam went. However, I completely forgot to tear up my scratch paper at the end as instructed. My exam has already been submitted, and now I’m really worried that my exam might not be accepted because I forgot to do that.
I’m scared that this mistake could affect my application, especially since I felt good about my answers. I didn’t mean to disregard the instructions; I genuinely forgot.
What should I do now? Should I contact SAIT’s assessment team and explain what happened?

Hi everyone,
I’m an international student planning to enroll in the Electrical Trade and Technology Diploma at SAIT, with the goal of eventually becoming a registered electrician apprentice in Alberta.
I’ve been reading the official AIT policy on Tradesecrets regarding registration eligibility, but I still have a few clarifying questions and would love to hear real-world experiences from SAIT alumni, current apprentices, or local electricians:
During the Study Period (Co-op / Study Permit):
Does the Co-op/work-integrated learning component during this SAIT diploma count as "working in Alberta in the scope of the apprenticeship program" for someone on a Study Permit? Are international students allowed to register as official apprentices with AIT while completing their Co-op work term, or do we have to wait until graduation/PGWP?
After Graduation (PGWP Verification):
For graduates holding a PGWP who complete this recognized SAIT program, how does AIT verify the "primarily working in Alberta" requirement once we find a sponsor? Is having an Alberta job offer and sponsorship agreement with a local contractor sufficient?
Job Market & Finding a Sponsor as an International Graduate:
How realistic/difficult is it for an international graduate with a PGWP (and a SAIT diploma) to find an electrical contractor willing to sponsor their apprenticeship in Alberta? Do employers hesitate to sign AIT sponsorship agreements for PGWP holders, and do you have any tips on landing that first apprenticeship position (e.g., leveraging Co-op terms)?
Any insights, advice, or personal experiences would be immensely appreciated!
Thank you so much for your time and guidance!

Hi, I just have a question for HIM graduates. First of all, is it easy to find a job after you graduate? Also, how is the workload inside of the program?

Hey so I'm a student who wants to go to SAIT. Genuinely curious if the 4 Bedroom Apartment is worth it. I want to go live at the campus, but at the same time don't want to spend too much. Plus Its best when its clean and all that (My room) So thus, is it worth it?
