Pumpkin Oil Painting π
My friend's family grew tons of pumpkins this year! I visited their garden last week, and everyone was so happy with the harvest. I loved seeing it all, so I decided to make some paintings inspired by that day.

For fellow pumpkin lovers
Decided to make a little seasonal π app. Customize and carve your own pumpkin. Change the shape, color, stem and then carve it and make it glow. This is just a little seasonal passion project. I would love thoughts from this community if there is any part of customization you find missing. Thanks for giving it a spin.

ID Help?
Hello! I bought a pumpkin from a Lewis pharmacy over the weekend and there weren't any signs to identify the pumpkins, other than 'Heirloom'. I bought a blue one and I can't figure out if its a Jarrahdale or Blue Doll? Upon searching online i can determine that some of the other pumpkins I saw there were Porcelain Dolls and Jade Knights. But the blue pumpkin types look too similar for me to be able to figure it out.

Even a little pumpkin provides plenty of food
Every year after harvest there are several small or slightly marked ones left in the field. I rescued this little one and, after leaving outside to ripen, got a large bowl of pumpkin pieces π

I turned my family's pumpkin-spotting game into a free event β 85+ pumpkins hunted so far π (mod approved)
Hi r/Pumpkins! Mods kindly said I could share this joy with you together β thank you!
I'm Yijin, a mom of two girls (4 and 10) and a solo dev. Every fall we play a game spotting pumpkins on our walks, so I built it into a free event in my gardening app: the Pumpkin Hunt.
How it works: spot a real pumpkin anywhere β front porch, garden, pumpkin patch β snap a photo in the app, and it turns into a pixel pumpkin in your collection. There's a leaderboard, and top hunters win gardening prizes.
It's free, runs through Oct 31, and hunters have already collected 85+ pumpkins. My girls are so excited to compete with you all together! They are so happy to check on the leaderboard everyday. iPhone only for now:

Through my creative work, I imbue the pumpkin with a soul and a personality.
If a gourd manages to dry out over time, it becomes an excellent material for creative projects. A new harvest of ornamental gourds wonβt be ready for me to use for at least three monthsβsometimes it even takes over a yearβbut fortunately, I have a stock of dried gourds on hand, which allows me to spend the entire year creating my whimsical characters.

First time growing this year, probably have to pick these soon its getting cold.
Bought 3 packs of seeds from Amazon just to see if we could have some extra pumpkins for Halloween. Didnt get around to planting until late July. All I did was germinate the seeds in a damp paper towel for a few days and just threw them in the dirt. 1 pack of white, 1 big orange and a smaller orange. Looks like we have a couple decent ones, but being I started so late and its starting to get cold here on the East Coast. I will probably have to pull the good ones and try again next year. Banana for scale

What kind of pumpkin is this?
Hello! I got this pumpkin to carve this year and she's so thick idk if I can. But I wanted to know if it's edible cuz I might just cook it for soup.
Is this edible/good to cook? Never seen a pumpkin like this before.
