The tube is a tube, you can wear it around your neck, on your head or who knows where else, we don’t really need to know.

A laid back and chill sort of warmth without overheating. The Jumpyarn fabric is filled with diverse and slouchy character while the extremely breathable 60gsm Alpha insulation and Futurelining 17.5 micron merino lining create a very dry and comforting kind of warmth. Features a snap front and discreet hand warmer pockets.

Purewolf/Awoolybrushed Zipdouble

A zipscarf doubled up and transformed into a who-knows-what experiment [#601]. Can be worn as a scarf, but it’s maybe more of a zip poncho, cape or shawl, plus it can be zipped into any Zipscarf compatible layer. The Purewolf layer is warm, airy and cozy, 250gsm of pure merino fleece performance. The Awoolybrushed layer is soft, cozy and exceptionally dry.

Strongtwill Warmshirt

Quietly bombproof meets warmth-without-overheating to create a ruggedly cozy midweight jacket with a snap front. Natural merino performance on the skin side, lightweight Alpha 60 breathable insulation in the middle and Strongtwill protection on the outside. Zero snaps at the front, low pros at the cuffs, plus merino lined hand warmer pockets all lock in that dry and comforting kind of warmth the Alpha60core setup brings.

A large wooly scarf with a strategic zipper set-up that takes it into cape/poncho territories. Features a sizable two-way #8 Vislon zipper that can be used on its own or zipped into any Zipscarf compatible jacket. A new Cut Two tee is too long. Though I have many Outlier tees, I have never put one in the dryer. I would like to shrink this new one. About how much should I expect it to shrink in a hot dryer if I dry it that way one time?

I love this material and weight , it's really great for the climate here in Hawaii.

Should I hold my breath for new short sleeve colors anytime soon , or just pick up a few duplicate shirts before they are gone ?

Nylistic Wool Twopocket

A button up experiment [#607] with two low-slung chest pockets and a hidden placket front, sewn in the new Nylistic Wool Canvas. Wool is blended with nylon at the fiber level, twisted into two-ply yarns and woven in a canvas construction to find a rugged elegance in-between workwear and suiting.

Acrispcotton Lighthooded

A hooded windbreaker experiment [#605] in the exceptionally light and fine Acrispcotton. Rare Giza 87 extra-long staple cotton is spun into even rarer 120s single yarns by the Albini Group and woven into a poplin so tight and dense it works as a windbreaker. Loose fit with elastic cuffs, shockcord hem and kangaroo front pocket with a zippered stash pocket on top.

Trackwool Lighthooded

A hooded windbreaker experiment [#606] in the lightweight wool head trip of Trackwool. What looks like a tracksuit fabric is actually 80% wool, an unexpected inversion bringing dry, breathable performance and tropical wool elegance to a casual classic. Loose fit with elastic cuffs, shockcord hem and kangaroo front pocket with a zippered stash pocket on top.

I was offered the opportunity to review the upcoming Acrispcotton Lighthooded, which releases tomorrow at 1pm EST (thank you to Tyler/Outlier). I received this piece for free. All thoughts here are my own and have not been reviewed or edited by anyone affiliated with Outlier. 

I just received this piece today a couple hours ago, despite the best efforts of the United Parcel Service. While I plan on writing a full review and adding more details, for now AMA if you have questions about it ahead of the drop. 

Here’s a quick fit gallery (link), and 
Here are some of my quick first impressions: 

• TTS Medium fits great at 5’9”
  • Chest: 27.5”
  • Length: 28.5”
  • Sleeve: 35”
• Cuffs feel perfect, no tightness issues like with the Trackwool Lightsplitter (I have one in M too, will compare fabrics).
• Zip and kangaroo pockets are spacious. 
• Hood also fits and sits well for my large head. Could maybe be a little larger but I just like big hoods.
• Prefer wearing it with the hem uncinched so far. 
• Very lightweight, fabric is only 90gsm. The whole piece weighs 275g (0.6 lbs).
• Same fabric as the face on Adown, feels sturdy enough for how light it is. Asked on the Discord a few days ago and it doesn't seem like people have had durability issues, though I wouldn’t want to fall off a bike wearing it or anything.

I’ll do my best to answer any questions and fabric comparisons. Outlier should also be doing their usual pre-release livestream on Instagram tomorrow starting 12:30pm EST, where they show off the piece and answer questions as well.
