I have an HP OMEN 16t-am000 that suddenly froze and crashed while I was doing homework. I had updated my Intel drivers approximately 24 hours before the crash, but the laptop worked perfectly fine in between.

Ever since the crash, my laptop refuses to boot. It initially displays “Memory Training In Progress” for about 30 seconds before going completely black. The fans continue running and the power button stays illuminated, but nothing happens.

I’ve tried just about everything I can think of:
Multiple hard resets and power cycles
Disconnecting the charger and draining residual power
BIOS recovery using Windows + B
Attempting to access HP diagnostics using Esc/F2
Troubleshooting and reseating the RAM
Leaving the laptop powered on for extended periods to allow memory training to finish
Checking for Caps Lock diagnostic blink codes (none)

Nothing has worked. The laptop is completely unusable, and I can’t even get into the BIOS.
I’m starting to suspect a BIOS, RAM, or motherboard issue, but I have no idea what could have caused this since it was working perfectly fine beforehand.

Has anyone experienced this with an HP OMEN 16? Is there anything else I can try before paying for a motherboard repair or replacing the laptop?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought my HP omen 16 ultra 7 with RTX 5050 since beginning I felt it's bit slow to open application or load setting+sound quality is bad don't know if it's laptop problem Or vs code problem even basic code take time to run

i opened my HP Omen 16-ap0165AX for the first time to clean the fans after 3 month of starting using it. i was shocked to see many fingerprints inside the laptop hardware on SSD, back cover

how can it happen , did someone try to change the parts before buying ??
Or its from manufacturing side??

Hi guys I wanted to know that are hyperx and normal omen are same in performance

They have different Internals

As normal omen has 4 vents

And hyperx has 2 vents but with internal self cleaning fans system

I'm getting both at same price with MYUNIDAYS discount on hp store

So which one should I buy or is there a performance difference

I have heard normal omen has weak build quality and hyperx has better build quality, but that doesn't define everything

Got a HP omen 16 max from Amazon in August. In these 2-3 months, there were 3 instances in which this happened.

While doing basic tasks like typing in a word or something (I don't play much games either way), the laptop suddenly switched off. One single message "your pc ran into a problem. Shutting down" but it wasn't the windows black screen of death with the emoji etc.

What's happening? Kinda scared this might increase.

I recently bought Lenovo Legion 27Q-10 2k@240Hz monitor. I use the Ugreen Type-C to DP1.4 cable as I want to use the monitor on the max refresh rate possible.

One thing I noticed that after I put my laptop to sleep, the monitor doesn't wakes up with the laptop. I checked in device manager if the laptop is detecting the monitor and it DOESNT.

The only workaround I found is disconnecting and reconnecting the Type-C port works. But it's kind of irritating always reconnecting the cable just to make the monitor work.

I have recenty aquired a HP Omen 15 (15-en1007sl),
and right now its day 4 of my sanity speedrun, since i cannot fathom what else i can do to fix my internet connection on the laptop.
The problem:
After a clean install of Windows 11, first time succesfully bypassed the login screen at the install with oobe/bypassnro method.(Doesnt work anymore for some reason?) as soon as i connect the device to the internet, computer crashes. (Your device ran into a problem screen, with infinite restarts, cant go back to windows…etc.)

Second run at Windows 11, cannot bypass with oobe/bypassnro, decides to connect to wifi, as soon as password is entered, loading circle shows for around 15-20 minutes, system crashes with the same error.

Third run, Windows 10.
Created an installation usb on another computer with Win10, installed succesfully, connected to wifi.
I decide to download the Nvidia Driver first, page does not load, only after the 10th refresh.
(ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR)
It gives the same error for every single page i open, sometimes i have to refresh up to 25 times for a page to open.

(Tried installing win11 with HP Recovery tool, also crashed out, bricked it)

This is my 8th reinstall so far…

Other devices are fine on the internet.
Time and time zone is good.
Random hardware address tried (on-off both ways)
Winsock reset has been tried
Tried driver install from Intel.
(Power management etc tried.)

Only thing that seemd to help, is setting my MTU from 1500 to 1280, that was the most stable which would load pages instantly, but still cannot download anything, not even windows updates, they fail.
Exact command:
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface “Wi-Fi” mtu=1280 store=persistent

Im desperate for help, i’ve been wasting my time for 4 days at this. So far i am lost on what i can do.

Same thing happens on Cable, and also on attached USB Dongle WiFi.

(I will try to remember the other things that i’ve tried)

Is this a good deal? I got the open box for $1709 excluding tax. Purchased 1 year extended coverage for $200 for a total of $2000 inc. tax.

So it’s been two weeks since I bought the omen 16 and it’s so good!!, like I installed nfs mw 2012, just a cause 3 and gta v gave a good performance the screenshot shows the gpu temp and cpu temp while playinng gta v so tell guys is this ok??

And I ma always using it on charger with h smarty charging with stops chanting at 80% and first screenshots shows the dust or fan condition after two weeks usage.

I recently swapped my Omen 30L to a new case and everything has been fine except for getting the motherboard to pickup to Corsair Commander Duo that I added in to control the Corsair fan RGB and to power them. It will power the fans, but will not appear in iCue.

The only USB 2.0 header on the MOBO is one labeled light control that used to be connected to a smaller board that I believe only controlled the RGB for the previous case and powered an intake fan for the previous case.

I’ve tried this header with no luck and I’ve also tried using a NZXT internal USB 2.0 hub with no luck either. Has anyone else tried to use a Commander Duo with a Hana 8876 B550 MOBO and had any success?

I'm considering buying a HYPERX Omen 15 (this model specifically: OMEN 15.3" WQXGA 180Hz 2.5K IPS Gaming Laptop, AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, 16GB, 1TB SSD) but I need Wake-on-LAN feature (WoL) do you know if this is fully supported?

Has anyone been able to use WoL? Ideally it should wake up from full system shutdown

Offcial HP docs and manuals don't mention this at all :(

Recieved my OMEN 16 am0238tx (Intel core ultra 7 255h, RTX 5060, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD).

I got it delivered to my friend's house because my home address was showing not deliverable and his mac air m5 also got delivered along with my OMEN.lol

Its warranty was pre activated so i contacted hp support and they fixed it under 24 hrs.

Now what should i do to make my new laptop have a good fresh start.

Does anyone have an Omen laptop with the new Iridescent Black finish option?

Found the perfect Omen 15 build on sale but it's Iridescent Black and the photos are identical to the default Shadow Black.

Everywhere I look online, YouTube, even one I found on display at a store all appear to be Shadow Black. Does Iridescent Black actually even exist??

If you have one I'd love to see a photo and hear your opinion on it vs Shadow Black.

I am facing an issue where my Omen 16 with an RTX 5070 freezes 10-20 seconds after logging in. I do not know why; I reset the whole PC and checked every troubleshooting step, and the component tests all passed, but the freezing issue remains. I feel like it is something to do with a hardware driver update from Nvidia because I got an update today, and my Windows also auto-updated, but I am not sure where the fault lies.

If anyone can help, it would be very useful.

I just bought my omen 15 and being in Europe the charger wasn't included in the pc, the problem is that on the box is recommended a 280w charger but it can't be found even in the ho site. I tried to look on the official site if the smaller charger (230 w) was compatible but the exact model of my pc wasn't specified.

My HP OMEN 16 turns on, but the screen stays black with the backlight on. The fans run continuously, and the Caps Lock light responds, but a bit slowly. There’s no omen logo coming.
I’ve tried a power reset, connecting it to an external TV via HDMI but nothing worked. Has anyone experienced this issue?What should I try next?

Edit: its working now, tried the windows+V for recovery it showed bios error and needed reset, plugged it in for some time and now its fine.
