Based on that, what type of game do you think it is?
This is the game I'm working on since February. Still unannounced. Steampage is up soon (just doing the last things like gameplay trailers etc.).

I will be putting together a list of known artists who are available to work on capsules and pinning it in a community wiki. However there are a few pieces of criteria that must be met to filter out spam:
We continue to see a flood of bots coming into the r/GameDev discord trying to sell art and we use these points to remind people not to engage with them. There are hundreds of real artists active within the game dev scene who we will give visibility instead.
Are there any other criteria you would add on to this? If you are an artist, please share your information below so I can add it to the list too. Thanks!

The first slide is the new one, I drew both of them, and i've been told that the old one looks like a mobile game, so I tried this cozy version.
I'm not that good of an artist since i'm a programmer.
Let me know what I could change.
Thank you.

Need eye-catching Steam Capsule Art for your game?
My name is Moiz, and I'm a Concept Artist & Illustrator specializing in stylized key art and Steam capsule artwork. I help indie developers create memorable, readable storefront visuals that stand out on Steam and communicate the core appeal of their game at a glance.
Whether you're launching your Steam page, preparing for Early Access, or replacing placeholder art, I'd be happy to help.

These are early mockups focused on composition; colors and details will be refined later
For context: The premise of the game is that you've been kidnapped by a loan shark and need to pop balloons for money to pay off a million-dollar debt. It's a short, incremental dark game. Not relaxing.

I tested 4 different capsule artworks during Steam Next Fest, all featuring illustrations is hand-drawn!
I've been wondering which one catches players' attention best.
Which one would make you most likely to click on the game? A, B, C, or D?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements is a turn-based tactical roguelite centered around elemental reactions, featuring 5 elements, 20 elemental reactions, and randomized maps.
The Steam Demo is now available if you'd like to try it yourself!

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a recent experience and hear your thoughts.
Someone reached out to me online, and I genuinely liked what they were working on. I was interested enough to offer a free demo of my work, with no payment or anything in return expected.
They agreed, I created the demo, and they seemed to like it. We continued talking for a while, and everything seemed fine.
But later, when I tried to follow up and ask for updates, they gradually stopped responding. I sent a few messages over time, and in my last message, I simply asked if there was any issue so we could clear things up. Instead, I ended up getting blocked without any explanation.
I understand that people get busy, change their minds, or lose interest. That's completely fine. I wasn't expecting anything in return, but a simple, honest response would've been appreciated.
I'm not trying to call anyone out or start drama. I'm genuinely curious about how others would handle this situation.
Would you just move on, or would this experience change how you approach helping people or offering free work in the future?

I’m a game artist with 16 years in the industry, and I want to help indie devs ship better Steam pages. I’ve been building a Steam page auditor that checks your short description, screenshots and trailer opening, and I want to test it on real pages. I’ll review the first 5 for free and send back notes on what to fix first via DM.
Drop your Steam link in the comments. I’ll ask before sharing any results publicly.

Hi Everyone!
I'm hoping to get some feedback on the vertical capsule designs I've been working on for my game that will be listed on Steam soon.
The game is a synthwave/outrun style space shooter, and I was trying to go for a sort of retrofuturism look for the poster.
Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Looking for some feedback, I usually just focus on the game assets but I realise that the capsule is an important step to get peoples attention towards the game in the first place. How could I make this stand out more?

Hi guys!
A month ago I posted a concept for our Steam capsule here. It was a rather chaotic result of brainstorming and mixing our game assets, open source fonts and AI generated images, all poorly edited together in Affinity, what many of you pointed out.
We gathered your feedback and tried to address as many points as we could.
1) Our graphic designer repainted the concept art of our main character by hand.
2) She also took care of the portal "blob".
3) Instead of the previous chaotic background, she used a scene from our game (the main menu background) as the basis for the new one.
4) She improved the look of the text a bit, although that wasn't a big issue before.
5) After a long discussion, we decided to go with darker colors rather than trying to be colorful and dark at the same time.
What do you think of the changes? Is it better now or worse? Is there anything else we should adjust or change? Which capsule you would rather click on? Does it look good on our Steam page?
Thanks for your feedback! :)

Done by the team who made Megabonk's capsule art. Thoughts? Would you click on it?

I saw someone else looking to hire for capsule art and considering I'm really not very happy with my capsule art at all (and want to avoid AI for that) I thought I'd do the same.
My game has a low poly style and it's set in greek mythology. My current capsule art looks more like a city builder than a roguelike hah. I've already hired some really nice voice actors and had a superb experience/result with them. I'm hoping I could upgrade my capsule art the same way with one of you.
