My Galaxy S22 was stolen. I've already:

Sent a remote wipe through Samsung Find My Mobile / Google Find My Device

Changed my passwords

The phone was fully updated and locked with a 4 digit pin.

What I want to understand is the brute-force protection on the lock screen:

How many guesses does someone get before the delays make guessing impractical?

How does the timeout throttling escalate? Is it enforced in hardware (Knox / secure element) so it can't be bypassed by resetting the phone or plugging it into something?

I'm not asking how to get into it. I want to know how realistic it is for someone to get in before the wipe goes through or if it never does.

Lets convince samsung to push one ui 8.5 for s22 series... s22 series are still sum pwrful devices, but due to the policy, its stuck... i myself use s21 fe, which is stuck by the same reason... i request yall to wake up and support us so 1 day we'll get one ui 8.5

I used to have a 1x1 widget that would allow me to link to an automation, like 'Turn off all my lights'. Now my 1x1 widget no longer works.

I noticed my phone's battery health is at 87%, which is a good level, but I feel like it's draining very fast. I turned on battery protection so it charges up to 80%. Is it worth keeping this on or not?

Any options on how it can be fixed for cheap?, I asked one store but they are quoting a price too high, a price in which I could literally buy another kinda cheap phone

Руссифицировал через тему с сайта 4 pda, нужно было сделать сброс второй раз замораиваться не стал, сложного нечего нет в руссификации, но когда был руссифицирован гугл кошелек ругался на карты visa просил их удалить.

Есть подозрение что в теме руссификации возможно есть скрытое ПО.

И так интересно если у когото опыт во первых полной руссификации если это возможно сделать официально. Ну или еще варианты? Опыт использования и как вам автономность устраивает?

Hi all, when you're connected to the Internet through Wi-fi, does the connection just drop for you at times? It's very frustrating. I've reset my Internet router and click Wi-fi on and off.

So i have Samsung s22. It was working perfect. Yesterday my phone was dead so i was trying to charge it, but it was not working. I changed the wall plug, cabel, socket but there was no difference. I then charged it using wireless charger. After it turned on at like 50% I tried to use wired charger again, it just charges only for 35 seconds and then stops automatically. I even cleared the cache of USB settings, cleaned the USB C port with 70% alcohol but still the same problem. I even tried to turn off the super fast charging and fast charging and it even stopped charging at all.

What can I do to fix it. Plz help

s22 Ultra, plugged it to the computer and immediately got the "Warning: Unplug charger immediately" moisture warning - zero moisture though. Never been wet in anyway.

I unplug it, plug it back in later, and immediately the video above happens.

Tried force restarting it but it's the same - no logo or anything at start up too.

It's registering touch because it vibrates to touches, but the screen is just white - exactly like you see in the video, even with that slight "stutter" you see in the video when he presses the power button to turn screen on.

Any idea what's going on? Appreciate actual experience with this same exact issue (and phone) rather that speculations and educated guesses (been reading a lot of those researching the issue 🥲).

Update: it works! I'm so relieved now i can wait until another time to recover my data!

Right now the s22 won't start up at all. And I'm concerned I might need to access a site that is set up with 2FA and I wont be able get the text. I found an old Samsung A13 I had around here, unlocked.

Is it safe to take the Sim card from the s22 and put it in the a13 so at least I can get text messages (or calls) now? I have att. Then take my time and save money and take the s22 to a good place and do whatever I can to get my data?

I have been using phone for a long time and it had it's moments like restarting without warning but this time it just turned off and didn't respond to any button clicks or combinations. Next day I tried the long press again and it showed 0 battery on screen so i charged and it turned on. I tried to back everything up but it turned off again showing 0 battery again.

Now it doesn't turn on at all. My question is... Is it a battery problem or motherboard(this seems more likely)

Bought new battery for my s22 5g as I noticed my old battery seems to be showing its age.. since I have an extra one should I parallel two of this.(Given it's the same battery) Could it possibly lengthen my screen time since it would be double the capacity..? Idc about the look of the phone if the battery would be sticking out of the frame nor the wireless charging too..

Hey All, I posted this on the Googlebook subreddit, but figured I'd post it here too in case anyone has ever experienced this perhaps outside of a Googlebook experience.

I will say, the one other time my phone gets almost as hot is while using Android auto. Though even then it's not running as hard as it constantly is now.

Does anyone else have an issue with their s22 where it overheats doing basically anything. I was trying to play Minecraft on my phone while it was charging and because I work in food my hands get burnt a lot so I don’t notice when I do get burnt. But I noticed my hands felt tingly so when I put it down I had a bright red mark going across my entire palm where I could feel the burn and now I’m left with a sore palm.

It’s not a serious burn it won’t take long to heal but it is so frustrating this phone has been nothing but problematic for me since I can’t even use google maps on it without it overheating but now THIS.

Honestly I’m so tired of this phone if anyone knows what I can do to stop this happening I would appreciate so much. I am never buying another Samsung phone after this.

Hello, my dad just broke his screen and cant see anything except yellow. I read that you can connect the phone throug usb hub to an external screen to access the phone. I have tried this but dosen't seem to work. I think he has restarded the phone so it won't show up in windows either when i connect the phone to my computer. Does anyone know if there is any way to access his data on the phone without using smartthings?

For samsung users who have replaced their phone screens, is it worth it or can I just abandon it and buy a new phone. The screens are annoyingly expensive.

I recently bought a refurbished s22 and went through as much setup as I could to match my old s22 before I hit a roadblock. I have a big issue with standard colors on screens hurting my eyes, so I have a color filter on my laptop, pc, and have had one on my phone for many years. the built-in color filter on the s22 has always been great for me, I was able to set it to orange at 35% at all times of the day and night and my eyestrain has been significantly decreased.
my problem is, my new s22 color filter feature is not behaving like my old s22. same model phone. I have looked through every color, picture, and brightness setting and have found no differences compared to my old phone.
comparing both phones with the color filter disabled, the picture looks the same (unfortunately didn't think to get a photo of that and can't at the moment. maybe tomorrow.)
with color filter maxed out on my new phone, the intensity of the color is so little that it is hardly noticeable and doesn't help decrease my eyestrain at all. my old phone's color intensity is so different and isn't even set on the highest level.
included are photos of my new s22 on the left, and old s22 on the right. both on orange in the first photo, and both on spring green on the second. the new phone has maxed color filter while the old one has less than half set.
I can typically set anything up on a piece of new tech but am really stuck on this and need help, and I couldn't find any information about this issue on the web.
