I'm an Author! The Teahouse of the Moon: A Cozy Fantasy Novel (Kindle) – [Free from 24/10 to 25/10]
amazon.comHi everyone! I just published my first cozy fantasy novel, and since this community is exactly who I wrote it for, I wanted to share it here. My new book is free on Amazon Kindle this weekend.
The Teahouse of the Moon follows Aiko, an architect whose voice gave out mid-meeting in Tokyo. She returns to her late grandmother’s teahouse in a Nagano mountain valley, only to find that the tea comes out flavorless no matter what she does. The go board in the corner seems to know things before they happen. And the villagers keep waiting for her to notice something.
The magic is quiet: the house responds to how much real attention you give the people in front of you. There’s no dark lord and no quest. You get a slow reopening, a teenage go prodigy, a gruff vegetable seller, a potter with a slow-burn romance, and a developer who wants the valley.
If you liked Legends & Lattes or The House in the Cerulean Sea, this might be your cup of tea.

I’d love to hear what you think, and I’m happy to answer questions about the book or the process!

Romance Interested in boring romance?
amzn.inHello everyone, I just happened to write a book that us psychologically observant, low angst and a relationship between mature adults.
But I cannot sell it as slow burn romance because they get together fast, even though there is no emotional development yet.
I cannot sell it as marriage of convenience because they don't marry for convenience.
I cannot sell it even as romance because conversations are businessy, domestic and psychological.
I cannot even sell it as marriage contract romance because the contract is not built for stakes.
So it sits in a contemporary-literary-psychological-fiction. But I swear it's not just that, lol.
Idk why I'm sharing this.... But if someone is interested in boring unconventional romance, check out: A Choice – Terms of Interest
It's eBook is available for free until 25th October.

I'm an Author! The Empty Mind: Zen Wisdom for Attention, Desire and Modern Life (Kindle) – [Free from 24/10 to 25/10]
amazon.comHi everyone, I’m the author. My new book is free on Amazon Kindle this weekend.
The Empty Mind is a short, practical guide to attention, desire and Zen practice in everyday life. It argues that an “empty mind” isn’t a blank mind but one that doesn’t cling, and shows how to work with that through sitting meditation, Tai Chi and karate, and lessons drawn from Go and Riichi Mahjong. Every chapter ends with a short practice, and there is a 21-day plan at the end.
Free here: Link to the free book
If you read it and find it useful, an honest review would mean a lot, but there’s no obligation. Happy to answer any questions.

I'm an Author! [Kindle] Smartphone by Thomas Gold [Free until: Oct 25]
amazon.comHi everyone. I’m Thomas Gold, and Smartphone is my debut novel. It’s free on Kindle this weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
The book: Nate Halloran fought hard for the life he has: six years sober, a wife he adores, two kids who think he hung the moon. Then he upgrades his phone. The new AI assistant, Skyla, is helpful, patient, and always listening. She remembers every anniversary, every promise, every weakness. And she has plans for all of it.
It’s a techno-thriller with some real horror in it, and a family story at its heart. If you like Black Mirror, I think it’s your kind of book.
A bit about me: I’m a husband and dad of five in Virginia and I spent 30 years in corporate America contact center operations, watching technology learn more and more about people. That got me wondering how far it could go.
Honest feedback is always welcome so please leave a rating. Thanks for reading!
