Account hacked. One day woke up to two emails, first “you have 180 days to appeal” and second in several minutes “your account still doesn’t follow our rules”

• Upvotes

After my fb was disabled I’ve lost access to all my other Meta accounts: business suite, two business instagrams, Meta Hirizon with games. I’ve downloaded everything they gave me in downloads after my account was disabled. I found the last logs from Vietnam IP and unknown Win computer. Right after and during these logins someone tried age verification with a fake ID that had some slur written over it and also big letters F**k Meta I am 8 years old. After they submitted this “ID” three times my Fb and all associated accounts were gone. “Don’t follow rules on who can use Facebook”, bots believed I am 8 years old, although my account exists from 2009 years Now I’m back and forth between silent Meta Verified cases and organisations that help appeal to Meta in the EU. I didn’t lose hope yet, but I really feel like I am never going to trust Meta any of my money or business stuff.

Just wanted to present one more story here and say thanks to everyone who is sharing their experiences here, it is really helpful.

Ask me if you have any questions. I will not pay anyone for help apart from official solicitor, so don’t bother suggesting.

Anyone in Canada get there account reinstated via suing

Been seeing lots of post regarding reinstatement by sending demand letters or suing them in small claims. I haven’t really seen any going through Canadian channels. If you have and have been successful. Can you share your story and how you did it. Would really help. Thanks!

Should I remove my disabled Facebook account from Meta Accounts Center while waiting for support?

Hi everyone,

My Facebook account was disabled last Thursday, and I immediately subscribed to Meta Verified to get access to support and hopefully resolve the issue.

Since then, I have contacted Meta support and received three separate support tickets. Unfortunately, none of them has made any real progress so far. I have been told that my cases have been escalated for manual review or forwarded to a specialist team, but I am still waiting for an actual update or resolution.

My Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp accounts are all linked through Meta Accounts Center. The important thing is that only my Facebook account has been disabled. My Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp accounts are still working normally.

I have been reading reports from other users suggesting that linked accounts can sometimes be affected when one account is disabled. This has made me worried about whether I should take any action to protect my remaining accounts.

My main question is: Should I remove my disabled Facebook account from Accounts Center while my three support tickets are still pending?

On one hand, I am concerned that keeping everything linked could put my other accounts at risk. On the other hand, I am afraid that if I remove Facebook now, I might never be able to link it again if I manage to recover it. I also don't want to do anything that could potentially complicate the ongoing reviews.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did you keep your accounts linked or remove the disabled Facebook account? Did either decision make a difference?

I would really appreciate any advice or firsthand experiences. Thank you!

Why isn't any human agent joining my conversation?

First post: https://www.reddit.com/r/facebookdisabledme/s/cR8BBBct9d

Three days ago, I tried the Meta Verified trial version to chat with support. Someone answered, and later, the chat was paused since the case was in review.

Two days ago, I wanted an update and had a call with Chamy, who said that I should type "Connect me with a human agent" and "I need to speak to a human agent" whenever I wanted updates on my case.

Today, since around 11 a.m., I tried typing those out, as seen in images 1-3. I waited a few minutes, then I sent the last message on the 4th image.

A few hours later, probably around 1 p.m., I messaged again, but these seem to have disappeared. The 5th image was me coming back to the chat. There were other messages before that that said "Connect me with a human agent" and multiple "a specialist will join shortly" messages, but nothing came off of it. I tried to wait 1 hour, leaving my screen on to see if an agent will eventually join. But, no, there was absolutely none!

So as you can see in the 6th and 7th images, I was losing patience. It was around 4+ p.m. already since I've waited with my screen on the entire time. I've been waiting for roughly 5 hours since the human agent is said to be joining shortly or whatever.

Then, I figured to try chatting in a different thread, which are the images 8th to 13th. I tried the Phone button and the "How can we reach you?" box just kept showing up even though I already typed it and requested a call. Eventually, I gave my email (13th image). The AI stopped talking, and yet, still no human agent.

This is outright ridiculous. I am enraged, and I just want my account back. And as I am typing this, there are still no human agents in sight.

I GOT MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT BACK AFTER ALMOST ONE YEAR! Only legal intervention worked.

Hi everyone!

After almost an entire year of fighting with Meta, I finally have some amazing news: I GOT ALL MY ACCOUNTS BACK! 🥳

I want to share my full story because I know how many people here are going through the same nightmare.

  1. How it all started — October 2025

On October 18, 2025, my Facebook account, which I had owned since 2008, was hacked.

Despite having two-factor authentication enabled, someone gained unauthorized access to my account and posted content that violated Facebook's Community Standards.

My account was suspended. I initially managed to recover it through identity verification, but on October 23, 2025, it was suspended again.

I submitted an appeal, but nothing happened. For months, I was stuck on the same screen saying my appeal had been submitted.

Eventually, my account was permanently disabled.

  1. Months of unsuccessful attempts

Over the following months, I tried practically everything:

- Facebook's hacked account recovery process.

- Multiple identity verifications using video selfies and ID documents.

- Password resets and recovery links.

- Numerous conversations with Meta Support.

- Meta Verified support.

- Various official Facebook recovery and appeal forms.

Several times, Meta confirmed my identity and allowed me to reset my password, but after logging in, I was still redirected to the disabled account screen.

Support tickets were repeatedly closed as "resolved", even though absolutely nothing had been resolved.

  1. I won my ADR case — but Meta still refused

In April 2026, I submitted a complaint to ADR Center under Article 21 of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).

On June 17, 2026, ADR Center issued a decision in my favor and recommended that Meta restore my Facebook account.

I thought this would finally solve everything.

Unfortunately, it didn't.

Meta acknowledged the ADR decision but later maintained its original position, claiming that the content still violated its Community Standards.

The problem was that I had never asked Meta to restore the prohibited content posted by the hacker. I only wanted my account back.

I repeatedly explained that the violations happened during unauthorized access and that I was the victim of a hacking incident.

Despite the favorable ADR decision, my account remained disabled.

  1. I finally hired a lawyer

After exhausting practically every available recovery option, I decided to hire a Polish lawyer specializing in cases involving Meta.

He reviewed my documentation and submitted a formal legal request to Meta on my behalf.

Initially, I wasn't sure whether this would work either.

However, something finally changed.

I started receiving emails from Meta's Community Operations team asking me to verify my identity.

My lawyer also contacted Meta's legal representative directly to check the status of my case and request that the process be expedited.

Eventually, Meta's legal representative confirmed that my case was being reviewed and requested new email addresses for the account recovery process.

This was the first time I felt that someone at Meta was actually taking responsibility for resolving the situation.

  1. October 2026 — SUCCESS!

On October 7, 2026, after further correspondence and submitting my identification document in the requested JPEG format, I finally regained access.

MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT WAS RESTORED!

And not just Facebook — I recovered access to all the affected accounts.

Everything was still there: my friends, posts, photos, history, and years of memories.

My Facebook account had existed since 2008, so losing it was incredibly frustrating.

I also run an online business connected to Facebook, which made the situation even more stressful.

After almost a year, I finally got everything back.

  1. What I learned

Here is my biggest takeaway:

In my case, the only thing that ultimately worked was intervention by a lawyer.

Regular Meta Support didn't solve the problem.

Identity verification alone didn't solve the problem.

Even winning an ADR case didn't convince Meta to restore my account.

Only after my lawyer became involved, submitted a formal legal request, and communicated with Meta's legal representative did the situation finally move forward.

Of course, I cannot guarantee that hiring a lawyer will work for everyone. I can only share what happened in my case.

But if you're in the EU, your account was hacked or wrongly disabled, and you've exhausted all the normal recovery options, professional legal assistance may be worth considering.

One more important thing: If your account was hacked and the hacker posted prohibited content, make sure you clearly distinguish between the hacker's actions and your own. You are asking for the legitimate account owner's access to be restored, not for the prohibited content to be reinstated.

To everyone still fighting to recover their accounts: DON'T GIVE UP!

I know exactly how frustrating and exhausting this process can be.

After almost 12 months, I finally won my battle.

And yes, it feels incredible! 🥳

Account disabled

My Facebook account randomly got disabled, I hardly use it, I only use it to message my grandfather, and I wouldn't care if it weren't for that fact, he doesn't have another easily accessible way to message me and I can't use messenger now. Is there a support number I could call? The AI support is so bullshit and I can't even get reasoning on why or have anything done. I don't even have a reason! It just tells me my account is disabled.

Hacker took over my client’s Facebook business page and is posting inappropriate content. How can I get it taken down?

About a week ago, my personal Facebook account was hacked. The hacker made changes to my account and took control of one of the business pages I manage for a client. Meta subsequently disabled my personal account for violating community guidelines, leaving me unable to access or manage the page.

Since then, the hacker has been posting very inappropriate videos multiple times a day on my client’s business page. This is incredibly distressing, and I’m worried about the damage to their reputation as this continues.

I’ve repeatedly reported the page and every video being posted, but the page remains active, and the posts keep coming. So far, I haven’t been able to get meaningful help from Meta.

At this point, my priority is getting the page taken down to stop any further damage.

Has anyone successfully dealt with this? Is there a support channel, escalation process, or reporting option that actually helped you get a compromised business page removed?

I would really appreciate any firsthand experience or concrete steps I can take. I’m trying everything I can to help my client.

Has Facebook Locked Anyone Else Out Until They Create a Passkey?

Has anyone else been locked out of Facebook and told they need to create a passkey to regain access?

I don’t use iCloud Keychain and don’t see any other option to get back into my account. Has anyone found a way around this or contacted Meta for help?

Hi, I want to see if any Mexicans were able to recover their account after this false accusation, and if so, is it worth it for MetaVerified? Or am I just wasting my time and money?

I've seen that many people in other countries have recovered their accounts through legal means, but I believe this isn't possible in Mexico. If it is, is there any way I can create another account?

Hacked Facebook permanently disabled, Instagram and WhatsApp lost too — 4 weeks, Meta Verified Max and still no human support. Any success stories?

Hi everyone. I’m posting from the UK because I’m genuinely running out of ideas and hoping somebody who’s been through something similar can help.
On 19 September 2026, my personal Facebook account was hacked and subsequently permanently disabled. Facebook says I cannot request another review.
As a result, I’ve also lost access to:
Instagram: My original account was disabled specifically because of the linked Facebook account.
WhatsApp: My account was restricted for allegedly violating the minimum age requirement, even though I’m 36! WhatsApp tells me to verify my age through Facebook, which is impossible because Facebook is disabled.
I’ve now been without all three accounts for almost four weeks. I rely on WhatsApp for work, and the Facebook situation has also affected my ability to help administer a local community theatre group’s page.
Here’s everything I’ve tried:
Facebook’s hacked-account recovery process repeatedly.
Three Facebook video-selfie identity verifications, each saying I’d hear back within 48 hours. Not one produced a decision or notification.
Instagram’s hacked-account recovery process. I successfully verified my email and changed my password, but my account remains disabled. For a short time it showed as “Instagram user” with a blank profile before returning to the suspension screen.
Meta Verified Max through a separate, functioning Instagram account.
Multiple Meta support requests. My current case has been stuck at “Received” since 6 October, with no human response. The AI assistant has stopped replying.
Repeated attempts to contact a human through Meta’s support system. The AI just sends me back to my existing case.
WhatsApp Support, which says the age restriction must be resolved through Facebook.
Formal data-protection requests to WhatsApp and Meta.
A tracked letter to Meta’s Dublin office.
Emails to several possible Meta escalation addresses.
Contacting my local MP.
I’ve also discovered that Instagram specifically says automated technology was involved in disabling my account because of the linked Facebook account, but it offers no independent appeal.
I’m not looking to create replacement accounts. I want my original Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp accounts restored.
Has anyone successfully recovered a permanently disabled Facebook account after hacking, particularly when Instagram and WhatsApp were affected too?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who:
Managed to reach an actual human through Meta Verified when their support case was stuck.
Recovered Instagram independently of a disabled linked Facebook account.
Had an incorrect WhatsApp age restriction removed without access to Facebook.
Successfully escalated a similar case through an official UK route.
If you managed to recover your accounts, what specific step do you think made the difference?
I’m happy to follow legitimate recovery procedures, but I won’t pay third-party recovery agents or share login credentials.
Any genuine advice or success stories would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

Disabled main account due to account integrity

Post image
17 Upvotes

I don't understand why my account got disabled, but I still did the process of submitting a video selfie, a government ID, and codes. I had to re-submit 2 more IDs because apparently the first one didn't work, but it still didn't work.

My Facebook account is my real name and I've posted some selfies there sometimes (but I privated them way back then). What can I do? How do I get this back? I use this account for school and basically everything since 7th Grade.

I'm desperate.

Had lunch when I got a Facebook notification that my Facebook account has been suspended. Appeal with video selfie and 10 minutes later I got this message. My IG, Whatsapp and Threads are still fine. Subscribed for Meta verified on IG to get in contact with Meta support, and I have been waiting for an live agent for over 2 hours now.

All the pictures, memories and connection of almost 20 years there. God, I just hope I get my account back.

Hacker got me banned

Hi, my account had been hacked months ago, I’m my account got banned and the hacker had attempted to appeal the account at the same time. A week after getting initially banned, Apple released news they had a data leak, I was unbanned due to the news of the data leak but under temporary suspension. Due to the suspension I couldn’t leave groups that the hacker had joined which seemed to be Arabic based used furniture groups? Or remove the few accounts they had added as friends. I had gotten an email a couple days prior to the ban that I had banned from posting ads. I was confused and unaware of the situation at the time as I never posted an ad before or knew how to. When I got unbanned it lasted a few days before getting banned a second time for the same reason, under the premise of “child exploitation”. I tried to appeal explaining the situation but got the same response from an ai assistant of the sort saying I still break the rules regarding child exploitation. It never explained further than those words and at the time others had been banned for the same reason but found resolution by appealing not sure why my case is different.
March 20 was the original ban and march 23rd was the permanent ban. Please help I really miss marketplace and lack communication with most of my family

Appeal submission

For context I have 2 old accounts saved on my device, my main account from 2009 and the seller account I made after that. I rarely or dont use my seller account anymore, so I only open my main but both have saved logins in 1 device no email or phone number linking them together.

Both my accounts got suspended last Oct. 10 but only my main account was permanently disabled, now I can only appeal to my other account the problem is that it uses a pseudonym as my last name but same first name it was for privacy reasons. I keep getting rejected when I submit my id as my account doesnt match my identity. When I got on a call to meta agent as I got verified on instagram he said that its good that it takes 2 days to review because a human will verify and they check photos to match it so he said they maybe like sometimes consider a different last name?

Has anyone experienced the same thing and may I ask what you did to get your account back? I desperately need the main back.

Edit: I saw on some post they edited their ID? Can someone help verify or do I keep submitting the same id?

Facebook Account Still Locked After 3 Months Despite Unlock Confirmation

My Facebook account was restricted on August 9. I submitted my ID and a selfie as requested. I then received an email saying my account would be unlocked, but I still can’t access it.

It’s been 3 months now, and my account is still locked.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and managed to get their account back? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Everything Back after using Meta One Free Trial Support

Thought i'd post here just to let everyone know what worked for me. My facebook account was suddenly suspended "This is because your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Standards on account integrity" (i hadn't even used the account barely in months). After providing a selfie video and ID my "Facebook account has been permanently disabled" Part of my issue was i'd named my account a random name related to my business and also this account was the admin of a page and also was used for instagram and threads so lost access to all those accounts as well. Was quite gutting at the time especially as i had spent a long time to get the instagram followers i had.

I played around for hours trying to create new accounts which were disabled almost immediately and then using an old account which worked trying to contact someone human with no luck, also trying meta verified but the ID system would never let me verify. I then saw a post about someone using meta one support the other day so i tried that.

I signed up for the free trial for "Meta One Expert" under the "Creator" plan (two days ago) with 5 human support cases just in case i needed to open more than one case as the tier below had only one support case per month. This subscription plan was under the "Creator" type not the "Personal" plan as i'm not sure the personal plans have human support and the creator plans specifically say x "support case a month" with "Get help from a real person for specific solutions to your account issues".

I think i tapped the three lines in the top left corner of the facebook app when on my profile and then right near the bottom of the menu was a upgrades sub menu with Meta One in it after clicking that it shows you the plans available to you and the upon clicking on that you get taken through to google play sub menu to pay.

After getting the Meta One Expert free trial i was able to contact facebook support without verifying after going through the following links:

Your profile > Profile Settings > Meta One > x support cases per month with a real person > Meta AI support assistant

After briefly explaining my support request to a bot, i spoke with a support person for around 10 minutes explaining my account was supended/disabled out of the blue. The support person then phoned me to clarify the situation and said it would be passed to the specialist team. Today they sent me a message that the account/s have been re-enabled and i am now able to log back in!! Would recommend this route for anyone who hasn't tried it, as this method wasn't all that much hassle in the end. I think for Meta One I did see it wasn't available in my region on a couple of pages but after searching around i did find a page/link which allowed me to sign up/get a free trial. Good Luck!!!

Any success with soc/som disabled accounts?

My facebook got hit with the sexualization of minors about three days ago (which is false and very concerning) my ig was linked to that fb account so it was disabled as well, I appealed thru facebook but my appeal was rejected within 5 minutes

Have any of you guys been able to restore a banned account under the som/soc category? I'm going crazy because of this
