I'm both nervous and excited for what's to come
Sadly, I don't think there's a world in which Em will release the "new album" anytime soon after everything that's been said about him the past couple of weeks. We've definitely added a few months (if not years) to the release date.
One thing that excites me is how he'll respond. I think we're definitely getting an album without the ai filter. He's always been hyper fixated on criticisms surrounding his vocal delivery. After Mtbmb, the biggest criticism regarding his vocal performance was how yelpy and overly expressive some of his syllable deliveries sounded. So on Mtbmb Side B, he monotoned his voice in attempts to sound more "current". The criticism then was that he sounded overly technical and boring to listen to. Almost like he was just rapping to rap with no concern over how he sounded musically. So in Tdoss, he kind of found the middle ground between both deliveries.
The only thing that makes me nervous is his subject matter. What can he possibly say? I obviously don't think he should double down on the centrist rhetoric. I definitely believe he'd be more confident taking a stand politically on his own project. But even if he does, would it even "hit" the same? Like, even if he makes a super serious and mature song/verse about the atrocities that have happened under this administration, I fear that everyone (me included) would be like "but didn't you just make a song with kid rock?"
Idk, just from my perspective, it's just a little sad and disheartening not being super excited about a new album from my favorite living artist of all time.
TL;DR: Sonically, I'm confident Em will change his sound for the better and get rid of the ai filter. But subject matter wise, I'm nervous that we're going to get either a nothing burger of rehashed topics or serious topics that won't be taken seriously due to his kid rock feature.

Surprised that Joe Budden liked the verse
It wasn’t as bad as people say it is. I believe when it got released people already had opinions so they just trash it once they heard it, my only issue with it was “came to see me” twice in one line, it just felt awkward and off in that part but the rest is good imo

Em has been calling himself the GOAT lately, but do you think he is the greatest of all time?

I have a theroy about his new album
My theory is Eminem's new project is actually
The mention of slim shady EP in heal my fath by kid rock is actually a tease for what is to come
A new album that's a collection of songs from infinite and slim shady EP and he probably bought them from Web music last year just so he can do his new project

What is the best song from the Death of Slim Shady?
I like brand new dance but what are your guys opinions?
Who are some artists or bands that you’re surprised Eminem’s never referenced in any of his songs?
A few picks of mine are:
1). Nickelback - particularly during 2003-13; where it was “trendy” to trash them or make memes about them. With how much Em denounced Relapse during 2010-11, I could see him having a bar or 2 comparing the album to a Nickelback one.
2). XXXTentacion - specifically during the Kamikaze era. He could’ve either praised X for showing support for Walk on Water or lump him into his disses about the new generation of rap.

Skylar Grey is incredible, why is she disrespected?
Her voice is dramatic & epic, her writing is excellent.
From her work with Linkin Park to now, she has always put out amazing songs. Her albums are great, her work with Eminem, etc.
She helped write many Eminem songs. Her music is vulnerable, just like Eminem. I associate her very strongly with Recovery era Eminem and I mean that in the strongest possible compliment.

Would love a long Eminem interview
It's been forever and would be nice to see him have one with Rick Rubin or something.

Anyone else find Eminem’s most aggressive songs weirdly comforting?
Might just be me. I find songs like Kim, 97 Bonnie and Clyde, love you more, and all of relapse, including the extended edition weirdly comforting. Love you more especially, that’s one of my favourites.
I like to mainly listen to his most emotional songs from the early days. I wasn’t alive then, I wish I was though. The whole of the Slim Shady LP is comforting to listen to. The more mentally disturbed the lyrics are the more I like to listen to them. I promise I’m not just edgy, listening to his music that’s like that just makes me feel safe.
People seem to say songs like Kim make them feel on edge, or are hard to listen to, but I’ve never really had that.
It’s just something no one else can replicate. Em’s special man.
Anyone else have this?
