FoCo house show
I’m wanting to host a house show next month, but I don’t know what all is needed in order to host a successful event. Please give me any tips/must haves that other house shows do!

Is anyone else having a horrible time in this class with michael Kirby? I’m in the online section, and it has been so incredibly unorganized. Not sure how I’ll get through it without help lol

I'm signed up for text alerts for safety incidents. I've yet to get one.
The billboards show nothing but ads, despite the justification for them being safety incidents.
And from what I hear, there was a 15 minute delay between gunshots and the safety alert going off, with students in the area not even put into a proper lockdown under the circumstances.
Seriously, Amy Parsons, the corrupt cops, and every administrator responsible for this incompetence and greed needs to be ousted from campus.

So I'm just curious why there is no pokemon club. Yes I know there is a casual gaming club, but honestly it barely has anything for pokemon. A pokemon club could be great imo since I see a lot of people with pokemon related items walking around campus. It could be a great way to meet people who play the mainline games, spinoffs, mobile games, and watch the anime or collect the cards. It seems like a no-brainer to me but idk. There could even be events like pokemon go community days or a day where people watch the anime or movies.

I have a stupidly expensive apartment I can’t afford in Aggie Village with an extra room I dont use. its an office space so not great room and board (though I’d be open if someone doesn’t mind me walking through their bedroom to use the bathroom) but I figured I’d offer storage if anyone wants to pay for safe bike keeping. I can store multiple bikes and am always on campus, so it would be accessible with a days notice. I can give character references too if that would make people more comfortable.
DM me if you’re interested or have something else in mind!

23M. Starting the spring semester in FoCo in January. Mediocre guitar player, about 1 year experience playing. Big on indie rock and metal. Rusty right now because I’m in a road trip. Can’t sing for the life of me.
I have a pipe dream about being in a band. Looking to see if it works out. DM if interested and possess any music ability.
Worst case we have fun. Best case we have our world tour in 2027.

The breaker powering my dorm outlets blew on Saturday, which means my PC doesn’t work right now, and I can’t charge my phone in my room. If it was just over the weekend it would have been inconvenient, but it’s now actually becoming a problem since I have a project on my PC that I need to complete before Thursday…
I have asked the front desk about it and apparently they don’t have access to the breakers either, and that they don’t know how long it will be. Have not gotten any updates on my work order since I submitted it besides the auto-generated email that it was entered into the system.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and how long it took to get fixed.
UPDATE: Someone just now came and fixed it! I am glad that it is now fixed, but it would’ve been nice to know that someone was coming to fix it. Was just about to leave for class when he came.

Next to Pinon. Why does this car alarm always go off? I swear, almost every day I hear it!

I love how Jim Mora is turning the program around. I’m getting tired of so much winning!!
PS: my point is that investing in a coach to get horrible record, and to waste money in this program is a horrible investment! I expect them to have at most 4 wins!

Does anybody know if there will be food at the festival today? Planning on taking a couple of kids there after school and want to know if there will be sustenance. And porta potties?

CSU loves to promote "healthy" frat and sorority, all squeaky clean for the donors.
But let's be honest, it can and will eventually happen here if FSL remains a thing at any campus.
In fact, 2024, the same year as the Cornell 7 incident took place and was covered up, CSU refused to take action when multiple victims were drugged at multiple frat sponsored parties. Neither of the associated frats were ever truly punished either, even awarding one the same year.
Need I also remind people of the blackface incident that got ASCSU involved?
CSU likes to take the good parts of frats and shield behind "off campus" whenever something bad happens. They even train frats to handle things internally so it never gets reported for real.
And this is only the recent stuff we know of. There have been plenty of past incidents, such as Samantha Spady who died of alcohol poisoning at a frat party in 2004.
Oh, but they have anti hazing policies and such, right? Yeah, and they haven't been required to share statistics on those reports until THIS YEAR.
CSU, even at its best, cannot claim that such an atrocity as what happened at Cornell, that has happened to countless nameless women at multiple institutions, could not possibly happen here.
And for every one of you who says "Oh I'm in a frat, we'd all beat up anyone who tried that shit", I guarantee you there's 5 more who would just sit in that group chat doing nothing, and another one who's actively participating in it.
Abolish fratlife and sorority life. The pros do not outweigh the cons. Greek life should fade into obscurity before we have our own CSU 7. Because I fucking guarantee you, they will cover it up if they haven't already.

I am from the jersey shore where pork roll (or taylor ham, depending on where you’re from...) is everywhere. Couple weeks into school here, and it’s all i’m thinking about. None of my friends have even heard of it before.
I’m calling any and every NJ native to tell me where the hell I can get a good PEC around here. Please, for the love of god, help me. I’ll sell a kidney if I have to.

I cannot find ANY info about this online, so thought i’d ask here. Does anyone know the bandwidth of the csu-loT wifi? The LED strips I have only work on wifi that’s 2.4GHz, and csu-loT is the only wifi option available.
I already requested access to the loT wifi just in case, but just wanted to see if anyone knew 😔

Our football record after all is fine, will be another 20-40 million lost, a horrible record of 4 wins if we are lucky, all for what ?
I’m getting tired of winning !!!

Obviously there’s Ally Cat, but it can sometimes by really crowded there and difficult to find free spots to sit. I know there’s also places on campus but I’m looking for somewhere preferably off-campus. What are some good hidden gems or other late-night good study spots?

I’m a new CSU grad student, and I’m hoping to build a solid community here in FoCo. I read so many posts here about people struggling to make friends, so I hope this can be a way to help us all out and get us all connected. I love reading, but don’t have enough time to commit to full books for a book club, so I’m thinking of starting a short story club. This isn’t supposed to be a grad student specific club, just mainly aimed for people over the age of 21. If you fit either of those I’d love to talk about stories with you soon!

Hi, I'm not a student at CSU but my friend is. She's a sophomore and lives off-campus. Me and her have been friends for a long time (and even dated briefly but are just friends now). I and the rest of her friends are going to university along the east coast. She feels very isolated and is in a really bad place mentally, and I'm not sure how to help her with being 2,000 miles away. Is there any organizations or student events that I can help her get connected to? Any websites or places that I could send her looking would be greatly appreciated. I really care about her and want her to get connected to people so she doesn't feel so lonely.

I found a key card and a key on a lanyard last night laying on the sidewalk on Elizabeth. It may be a dorm key, but I am not sure. If anyone is looking for their lost key message me. The lanyard can be easily described and I'll make sure you get it back.
