Saw this graffiti while playing Schedule 1 last night and immediately thought it must be a Borrasca reference - am I getting ahead of myself?

I thought this story was supposed to take place in the suburbs. Middle class. Why the glass mansion? In the story I thought you could see your neight neighbors and casually walk to them. Here it looks like you'd need to hike or at least walk for quite a few minutes.

Tangentially related; Just once I want to see a horror movie where everyone is just too dirt poor to leave the haunted house or they're all just struggling to get by on top of the main threat of the plot.

Question I got my fiancé into creepcast now we have a book club

We both watch separately, I got behind starting my new job so I watch at home while he works now. I hope this take doesnt ruffle any feathers but I had to stop today after borasca V, sun vanished, and camp oakwood. Nothing because of our boys but these three episodes were so hard for me and that turned us into a private book club discussing the writing.

His hot take was the shinji voice but I got onto him that these are hard for them too so they have to try and keep us listening.

Is the next episode any better? Or should I let myself recover with a break for a few days?

Past Episode Discussion It was Odin!! Or Odin-inspired?

Just finished "I Explored An Abandoned White Supremacist Camp" (I've missed a bunch of episodes this year and am catching up during spooky month) and as soon as the evil shadow god was described I knew it was inspired by the Norse god Odin, which was built up to splendidly in the beginning of the story imo. I was kinda going nuts neither of the boys seemed to pick up on it, so I felt the need to post here.

I think he/it (Odin) was summoned to the camp because they called the human hunting event "the wild hunt", which Odin was known to lead. There are many other Germanic/European legendary figures who've lead the wild hunt, too, but Odin is fittingly missing an eye and usually of short stature with a beer belly.

The eye was willingly given by him in exchange for knowledge to another being, which makes sense with the mention of the protagonist's eye being touched and him receiving ancient knowledge of the "real world" too.

This manifestation of Odin heavily focuses association with the dead and warfare, seemingly reanimating "soldiers" to continue his hunt. Which is terrifying as hell. The fact that he continued to mock the protagonist in random places after his escape, too, had that sadistic fae vibe. I loved it.

I honestly would read a part two, but think the ending was still fitting. It left that nasty sinking feeling in my gut all good horror stories leave me with.

Sorry if someone already posted about this here/made the point elsewhere, I just wanted to fangirl over the reimagining of an ancient mythical figure to create something freshly terrifying. The visceral descriptions in the story were chefs kiss as well, another Christian Wallis banger.
