Anyone else getting satisfying render vibes?
Not OC/OP, just thought it was cool and satisfying

Please use this thread to submit suggestions for Corridor Digital to react to for their VFX Artist/Stuntmen/Stuntwomen/Animators React videos. Please do not just list the names of the Movies or TV shows; provide some context of why it would make a good addition to the series. If possible, provide a link to a clip or video for exact context. Writing the names of the Movie/TV shows in bold along with Good Or Bad in italics makes it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.
For example:
Rogue One: Bad VFX
- Grand Moff Tarkins' face and the lack of stretched pores. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlSn50_BePU)
Check the subreddit Wiki page which contains a complete catalog of which movies/TV shows/etc. Corridor Digital has already reacted to, before posting.
Mod Note: They can't react to music videos as Labels are way to vicious and eager to take monetization

So I tried installing the PoseCap addon on blender but I am getting stuck at this certain point, when I run the installer, after a point a powershell window opens up and after this the installation never progresses and gets stuck.
I went to the addon's official github page and didn't find any answers there. does anyone know how to fix it?

I’d love if the crew had a look at this clip (and those from the last few races) as a bit of a debunker. Most threads have the majority confidently calling it Gaussian splatting. Whereas to me it’s clearly just AI tweening like you can do in Kling, artifacts and all. Not saying it wouldn’t also be possible with splatting, but it would be a lot more work, and the 360 camera in the car wouldn’t mess up the details on the helmet.

I would love for the guys to take a look at the video for the new Tesla flying car, While it’s insisted that it is real I’m not sure there is any way I can believe it.
It just doesn’t look correct in regard to how it moves and I’m not sure I can be convinced that is real without analysis of the videos from some experts.
I also just do not understand any real world application for this and why they would work on something that has no practical use.
Screams AI to me but would love them to take a close look at this.

Looks like CGI to me - but I am not an expert.

To everyone saying "DUDE - it's REAL TESLA has never lied!!!" I want the experts on it. Then I want someone to examine the "car" and make sure it wasn't jsut a funny car shell over a rocket drone.

I'd wanted to make one ever since I saw u/cache__bunny's ages ago, and Corridor's video was the push I needed to finally finish it.
Shot a walk cycle with my friend Sisi in a "corridor", then built the loop: the walker multiplies into clones, the drum spins up, and it loops back seamlessly. Took about 70 versions to get the loop, the speed ramp and the music sync right.
Music: KI/KI, "What's a Girl to Do"
Full 16:9 version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI7qqToHGDg
Happy to answer how it was made.

I know they took a long break last year I believe, but its been a while now without an episode. Not sure if they spoke on it anywhere. Genuinely only the podcast I like listening to so hoping its not done

It had some really great combat (stunt reacts) as well as some creative camera movement that I’d love to see the guys take a look at

This scene from 1991 movie Body Parts blows my mind, as it doesn't look like a dummy, watch his legs move.

Gotta love the practicality of the 80s

I understand Niko has approved some people to start selling plugins and addons for CorridorKey, for integration into other software. I think it's getting out of hand.
There is no value added when it's just the source of CorridorKey further vibe coded to integrate directly with another software. You could just as easily do the same thing yourself if you need a direct integration: take the source of CorridorKey and ask whatever AI model you use to provide it.
This one specifically claims it's "more stable" because it's completely C++ based, and claims 2x-4x faster rendering times. Neither of those are true. C++ doesn't bring any more inherent stability over Python, Rust, or any other programming language. It's the quality of your code that determines stability, and frankly, poorly managed C++ memory in a video host is notorious for crashing software down to the desktop.
The "2x-4x faster rendering times" claim is complete nonsense. The actual heavy lifting in CorridorKey is neural network inference, which happens entirely on your GPU tensors, not in CPU instructions. Whether you call that inference loop through Python, C++, or anything else, the tensor pass hands off to the exact same hardware runtimes like TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, or DirectML. If you want a speed bump on the open source version, all you have to do is export the weights to an FP16 ONNX or TensorRT model using your own AI agent. Once the frame buffer is sitting in VRAM, a compiled C++ wrapper has to wait on the exact same GPU kernels as an optimized Python script. Most of the speed differences people see in these paid, commercial wrappers basically come down to basic multi-core batching, quantization, or quietly dropping resolution, not proprietary engineering breakthroughs or any significant work or effort on their part. CorridorKey already has multiple open PRs addressing multi-threading and pipeline efficiency that just haven't been merged into the main repo yet.
The same goes for features like despill or running alternate models like BiRefNet. A despill pass is just standard color math that can be handled with a basic expression or an existing native filter, and swapping backbones takes a couple of prompts to an AI coding assistant, or like 2 additional lines of code for a hot swappable option.
Niko is not a software developer by trade, and unfortunately, it seems he's been bamboozled to believe that any of these additions actually add value to CorridorKey. Most of the features of this and many of the other paid versions are already available completely for free in PRs and forks of CorridorKey, including most, if not all, of the direct integrations that people are charging for.
Please don't pay for any form of CorridorKey. They are all money grabs, taking advantage of free, open-source software, adding 30 minutes of vibe coding and calling it a product worth $100, or worse, a subscription.
I urge Niko to rethink allowing these people to charge for plugin integration or additional features. This is a community effort, and should be able to be used by anyone in the community, free of charge, regardless of what software or platform you want to use it on.

Just because you are new to software, does not mean the software sucks...
Far too much griping because of lack of knowledge.
Sticking them on Gnome with zero experience was bonkers, KDE would have been a way smarter choice.

Can we take apart this movie's tech? Most of it is already available now. Rendered lifelike (Fergusonish) judge, AR glasses (he didn't wear them), open source intelligence, reasoning LLMs, lidar, gausian splats...

^ (That's Linux too)
Just saw this new Corridor video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiO6yDxDui4
Lol, it's pretty funny. I think things would have gone a little bit differently if they set things up properly. Not massively differently, but at least on the Linux side of things.
For example, they said they're using a Linux distro called Debian Sid...
Debian Sid is also known as "Debian Unstable"--it is an experimental Linux distribution. It's not recommended for production. It's nicknamed "Sid" because it's evil and difficult and broken...Sid is literally named after the psycho neighbor kid from next door who mutilates all of the toys in Toy Story.
There is a completely separate version of Debian that is stable, based on the learnings from Sid.
Linux (and its relatives) have an interesting history in VFX. You may remember in Jurassic Park "This is a Unix System. I know this!" That was a reference to the Irix systems they were using to do the CGI for the dinosaurs, with Irix being based on Unix. Similarly, Linux was designed to be an open-source version of Unix. And even macOS has common ancestors and evolved from similar origins: all are Unix-like systems.
In fact, Steve Jobs tried to hire the creator of Linux: https://www.macrumors.com/2012/03/22/steve-jobs-tried-to-hire-linux-creator-linus-torvalds-to-work-on-os-x/
If you set things up properly, you can do some pretty interesting stuff. And you can also use some paid software like Davinci Resolve Studio, Nuke, or Maya on Linux. But obviously, that would go beyond the scope of the video.
Anyway, here is the reference Linux VFX setup used by some studios (no debian sid lol):
https://vfxplatform.com/linux/
And here's a good guide for setting things up and how things work in Linux:
Just thought I'd add a bit of color and context to Unix-like systems (including Linux) in VFX. But good video by Corridor, always entertaining.
