Hasta ahora tenía una televisión sin SmartTV con un Chromecast. Desde el navegador del pc enviaba la pantalla del mismo y lo podía usar en el salón.

Pero he comprado una SmartTV de Xiaomi. No he podido enviar nada a esta tele, ni por la SmartTV ni por el Chromecast. Desde el pc dice que no encuentra la fuente, aunque está encendido y Google Home lo detecta y me deja cambiar los fondos de pantalla.

Tampoco me deja enviar Netflix desde el móvil al Chromecast.

No entiendo nada. 🙃

My Chromecast search (little voice button on the remote) has stopped giving listings or a carousel of titles, and now it just gives me a summary of whatever I searched for, sometimes it's the correct title and sometimes it's just some random result. For instance, if I search for "octopus" it will read me the summary of octopuses, as if it was from Wikipedia or the AI result on Google. If I search fantastic beasts and where to find them, it might give me the movie result or it might give me a summary on different fantastic beasts.

I was able to fix this before by uninstalling updates, but now that option is not available.

I have gemini turned off on my Google Assistant, and I have voice match and other things like that turned off.

Anyone else have this issue?

Hello, can someone help me? My Chromecast is stuck on this screen. The physical button doesn't seem to do anything.

Google is one of the most successful advertising companies in the world. The "Top Picks For You" section is the first thing I see when I turn on my TV. It should consist of some combination of things I actually want to watch and things that Google has been paid well to advertise to me. 

Google has so much of my data that they should be able to know I'll like a movie before I've even heard of it. Also, Google is so dominant in advertising that the biggest studios should all be paying absurd amounts of money to advertise the big-budget new releases in that section. 

Why, then, does it suggest "Fart The Movie"? 

This is some straight-to-VHS low-budget movie from 1991 that made no money, was not popular, and has had no cultural impact. 

I'm not someone who frequently hate-watches movies for fun. In the 5 years that I've had a chromecast, I've done that three times out of the hundreds of movies that I've watched: Cats, Hot Frosty, and Troll 2. If they want to recommend Plan 9 from Outer Space or Morbius, I can sort of get that, but why are they wasting space recommending a movie that nobody wants to watch? 

This happened at the same time with both our Chromecast with Google TV, and a JVC TV with integrated Google TV.

Since yesterday, the Wi-Fi constantly disconnects as soon as we open the IPTV streaming service we use. Is an app we installed with a 3rd party provider months ago and has been working perfectly fine until yesterday. We thought at first it was an issue with the provider so we called, but the issue is definitely not with them. We tried the same app using the same Wi-Fi in our computer and works fine. This is not an internet provider block neither. We have 600mbps internet service and works perfectly fine with other streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube or Disney. The issue is only with live streaming video like Twitch or the IPTV service.

We did all the troubleshooting steps recommended by people in other posts: disable energy saving in all apps, DHCP Wi-Fi connection, factory reset... Issue is still ongoing. The IPTV provider even sent to us a different app version, making sure it wasn't with them, and the issue persists. We are close to buy a Fire Stick to fix the issue, but I'm not entirely sure yet if this really a Chromecast issue or if it's fixable. We bought the Chromecast and the TV almost 3 years ago.

Any advice?

I’ve got a chromecast HD paired to a monitor. For a while it was turning on when I pressed the on button but lately I’m having to reset and repair in order to get it to even work.

I’ve noticed that if I leave it on for a long time the Bluetooth eventually disconnects. Anyone that’s had a similar issue that’s willing to help?

I have a friend who is developing a media player which has the ability to cast to other devices, including Chromecast.

I have found during the course of testing that casting to one TV has almost nothing on the display other than the song title - no art, no graphic, nothing, just the title. It plays fine, but just looks a bit meh.

Surprisingly, the same product casts to another TV and shows the artist name, the song title, the album name and also the album artwork.

Why is one showing this and not the other?

I should also add that other applications (such as Poweramp, and others) show exactly the same thing when casting to both devices - album, album artwork, title, artist, everything, so clearly something is not right in what he is doing. Can anyone suggest a reason?

To be honest, I only paid for it because it was attached to a 4 inch female to male HDMI adapter that I'm hoping is an HDCP stripper (have to reassemble an older computer to test THAT with my PS3) but I figure if I CAN use the chromecast for something, you folks would know.

My chromecast updates very late at night and sometimes I’m gaming and it mega nightmare ruins my experience because it switches away from my game due to my setup. Is there any way I can fucking change when that happens? Why does it need to update literally every day? Holy fucking shit.

My google tv streamer is having this issue where it’s fine everywhere even when playing the video on nuvio but as soon as I skip forward maybe twice or thrice it loads endlessly and even other apps stop loading for like 3-4 mins then they start working, if I disconnect and reconnect WiFi they work immediately again, same thing on stremio like it initially loads fast and plays without buffering but if I skip forward or backwards it again does the same thing, on my tvs os this doesn’t happen. And on the google tv streamer on 2.4ghz it doesn’t happen ether

Been using it for years with no issues and was working this morning, but this evening it won't connect to my router. Tried forgetting and reading it without any success. Anyone else having issues?

How can it be that the Chromecast (gen2) works perfectly fine with all apps, except the crap from Google? The shit started like 3 - 4 months ago...

F1TV browser? Great!

Youtube App? Nightmare, device doesn't show up, unless one of the apps above is connected...
Youtube browser? Even worse, device is found, but player never works, it says its connected, it says it is casting, but the cast doesn't even respond, no matter what browser nor device.

How can Google mess up all their stuff lately?

And more important, is there a solution for this YT nonsense?

I recently installed the new disney+ app on my chromecast tv. Since then I cannot play anything!

It only shows "Something went wrong. Please try again." And tells me to contact their support.

Upon contacting them, I cannot have a guaranteed solution. In the end, they advised me to just screen mirror from different devices which is frustrating!

Can anyone help me with this. For context im in Asia and there's new Disney+ app with new UI.

Hi all, I'm hoping to get some help with a very irritating issue with my Google TV streamer.
If I've got something playing on my phone (usually Spotify), pressing the power button on my Google TV remote will pause the music on my phone.
There's also other interactions. For example, when I press play on my phone while something completely unrelated is playing on the TV, the thing on the TV will be paused, and vice versa.
This is really annoying as I often have music on my phone when giving my son a bath, for example, and my wife is downstairs watching TV. We end up in "pause battles" from across the house!
Does anyone know what's causing this and how to stop it?
This wasn't an issue before we moved house but nothing has changed in the setup, I literally just moved everything over and plugged it in how it was at the old house. Nothing new, no new settings that I know of.
So far I've only tried clearing spotify cache on both devices, and disabling HDMI-CEC (which didn't work so I've enabled it again).

I have two Chromecast HD devices, but when I try to screen mirror, it works on one and not on the other. Both are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and both are powered via the TV's USB port. How can I solve this? I have already tried resetting it to factory settings.

I cast and its just stuck that screen. If I let it sit eventually it just goes back to the homepage of the TV. Anyone know a fix?

Or is upgrading to Streamer the only way to support WPA3-SAE?

I could use some help if anyone might be able too. I use the Google tv Chromecast running android tv 14.

So I went on vacation two weeks ago and when I returned something strange was changed. I have my system set up to turn off 20mins after inactivity. Before I went away this worked fine, never had any problems. After I returned when I'm watching a movie or YouTube video, after about a minute of the video being paused the screen turns on the ambient screensaver and after another minute the Chromecast turns off. This has never happened before, whenever I had a video paused it would just stay on the screen and dim a little bit. I can't even get up to use the bathroom anymore without the thing turning off, it only happens when watching a video also, when it's just sitting there on the menu it still takes 20mins to turn off. I can't adjust the timer for the ambient mode at all, there's no option for it in the settings and the auto shutoff option is still set to 20mins. I'm genuinely confused here, if anyone has any ideas It would be greatly appreciated. I'd love it to go back to not triggering the ambient mode at all when paused on a video.

I've gone through every setting in the device, each app, etc. googled for the past 2 days and am throwing in the towel to ask for help. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Note: I use Kodi also and for whatever reason that's the only app it doesn't do this with, I assume it's because it has its own built in screensaver that overwrites the system one.
