i’m actually so scared rn.. i opened my app today and found this message appearing on both of my capital one accounts. i just made a purchase on the savor card which went through.. however it isn’t showing up in my recent transactions and same for my dropbox subscription charged to my ventureone account.

has anyone ever gotten this message? if so, what happened? does this mean my account is going to get closed :(? i’ve had previous c1 cards that have been closed and paid off these accounts above are only about 3-4 months old so i’d like to think if c1 wanted to close these accounts they would’ve done it immediately after it was open but idk.

i’m just terrified because my last two accounts were closed after i woke up to find a payment got returned and both accounts became restricted shortly after but not at the same time.

also i paid the balance in full every month for these cards so i never pay any interest

All the gift card options are 💩 and haven’t changed for months since I’ve been using the app. I have a couple hundred dollars I can’t redeem because my offers won’t update. My % back rewards for the places I shop at hasn’t updated in a while either… everything is 1-2% cash back or the offers they give me that are actually decent are for the most random places I’ve never shopped at or will ever use… the good offers they show me in safari sometimes are always old and expired.

Right now none of my capital one cards including my discover it card will even let me do a transfer.

Hey, I am past due on my minimum payment by about 10 days. I paid half of it the day after it was due. The representative I talked to said they couldn't offer me a hardship program at that time, and I just got something in the mail stating that they couldn't offer me a hardship program because my hardship reason wasn't valid (My hours at work were cut from 40 to 20 (it's a government funded job)) and my card wasn't the correct kind of card (it's a Quicksilver, I've had it for about 15 years now).

Has anyone had any success in getting a hardship program with C1? I'm fine if it closes the account as long as the monthly payments are more manageable. I can't even afford groceries right now

Got the $400 bonus and saw it'll take a month to switch DD at my job was wondering if their's any other workarounds for "Qualified direct deposits".

Hi! I recently opened my first bank account count back in August with Chase bank for their college student account alongside a credit card. But every time I’m supposed to get a refund from something I purchased it never shows up in my account. Chase will claim it came but it’ll show that the refund was issued a day or two before I even brought the item, without giving me a notification that the refund was issued and it never shows up in my account so I want to switch. I’ve been getting really amazing reviews about Capital One and I wanna know what college student experiences with it is like. Along with knowing what some peoples experiences with getting their refunds have been like.

Since Discover is now going through the official merging to Capital One with the two apps, when I made a couple purchases yesterday with my credit card I just noticed I never got a text for them. I checked the Capitol one app in the alerts settings but it only shows the option for enabling alerts with a debit card, which I don’t even have.

So I've lost my primary email I used with this so it's not accessible any longer. I have rewards but can't verify via email so I can get gift card.

Is there any way to get the rewards? What is best way to contact them? I have a capitalone.com account with cc which I've changed the email to current email, but the shopping site seems independent.

So I opened this card 6 months ago and kept low utilization and paid off every statement balance well before the due date. Usually the day of the statement posting. Just made my last statement payment and it cleared and I saw this immediately. I am so grateful. I have had credit challenges for a while. I have a Quicksilver secured that I've had for a year which has not graduated yet and it may be bucketed. I did get a Platinum unsecured and Savor unsecured. They both have a 300 dollar limit. Some people probably get an increase as well but mine may stay at 200 unsecured idk. I'm just glad they unsecured it. Maybe an increase will come with time.

I’m 18, in college, and only have 6 months of credit history. My score is around 640, and my Discover card has a $500 limit and is currently maxed out. Waiting for my fasfa to pay completely.

I randomly checked Capital One’s pre-approval and decided to apply for the Savor Student card. I was expecting maybe a $300 or $500 limit, but somehow got approved for $2,000??

I’m genuinely shocked.

My sons both have Capital One kids savings and checking acccounts, have both turned 18, are working, and have their paychecks direct deposited into their accounts.

Like others have mentioned, Capital One is requiring them to go into a branch to open a standard 360 account. We have called multiple times with the same result each call. One kid works nights, the closest branch is 20 miles away, and given their banking history with Capital One this seems unnecessary.

Has anyone found a solution other than going to a different bank to open an account?

Little over a month ago i was approved for a credit card, so i made the payments and recently was given the confirmation that its on its way. Only problem is i cant actually log in. I was accepted through another app and was only able to make the payments throught the original email i got that accepted my application. I know my login but everytime i try to log in it says theres a problem. I dont have any VPNs and Ive alr tried using different browsers. I even tried to go through customer service but they ask specifically for bank numbers i dont have, since i never was able to actually create a bank account on the app .

One thing i think i should note is when i originally “made” the account i was actually repeating the “set up online access” steps repeatedly and the reason they even have my account is because of my email is on my application and my account name is my email.

Idk kinda all over the place with this can anyone help?

So I activated my Citgo offer today for 3X miles. I went and got gas at a Citgo, paid at the pump, but the charge came through as Eagle Express, the name of the store, instead of Citgo. Will my transaction qualify for the offer or not?

Hello! I just got this offer, and saw that a few people have found a way to do this without a “genuine” direct deposit. Is it possible to get around it and deposit the $1,000 another way? I’m a student, and with my current job this won’t work. My other bank is chase, thank you in advance!

I got a secured platinum card with cap one about 9 months ago with a $200 limit. I’m trying to build credit. I’ve used it quite often, paid it in full before the due date every time and current having utilization around 35%. My score has jumped to a 635 from 520.

I want to know if I’m doing the correct thing here in how I’m using my card. I want to keep my score climbing and I’m hoping by March of next year I’ll be in the 700s. I’m also curious if I hit that mark if I should apply for another card and possibly have a higher limit.

Just got approved for the Venture Rewards ($95 AF) with the elevated SUB. I’m 18, make a good amount of money, college student, but I’m hesitant to pull the trigger. It’s not about managing my money, I’m stellar at that, it’s more about hitting the spend requirement. I may be planning a Japan trip in March of next year which would definitely help me hit the requirement. However if I do not go, my average 3 months’ spend may not organically cover $4000. I do want the card eventually, and during an elevated SUB offer ideally, which is another factor for getting the card now. I’d like to get the opinion of the subreddit, should I do it or not?

I got approved for an unsecured quick silver (good credit) but I have a secured quicksilver card. The unsecured is 300 but my secured is 1000 should I close the secured ?

I tried it for the first time and the rewards were good. The issue I am having now is with redeeming their rewards. It asks me to link a bank, and you think its pretty simple to link your Capital One Bank but I've been getting this error repeatedly for the past 2 days. Tried different browsers and devices too.
